Dreamingtree’s Soil Purple LED Blue Dream & Autoflower Grow

I took pictures of the stalks. I thought it was interesting how my Autoflower #2 grew, which I topped once right before there were any pistils showing.

This is my Autoflower #1 which I tied over sideways as an experiment with low stress training.

This is the photoperiod blue dream. I topped her twice. She’s gonna provide a lot of buds.

Thanks for the love brother Sauga!

I’ll sub up for your grow, Trees! Our setup is similar. I’m in a 2x4x5 also. I started with a blurple light and it did well for my first 2 grows. I recently switched to the Mars Hydro SP250. It really seems to offer a lot of bang for the buck so far. Definitely worth considering if you want to stay under 300$ when you do upgrade. @Preston9mm has had some great luck with his so far. Also, his is a good active journal to subscribe to so you can meet some more good folks here. And once you start a Brix grow, several of those peeps will follow along to help with that as well.
@Mr. Magoo im checking out your game of thrones quadline thread to see what I can learn from you. Good job it’s very detailed and informative

Thanks trees! If I can help with anything or answer any questions just holler!

I had to take more pictures. The blue dream is a photoperiod and it is a beautiful plant. Too bad I can’t put it out for everyone to see and drool over. I hope you guys enjoy it and drool a little like it’s growing cheesy poofs.

I took about ten fan leaves off for better light penetration and one shoot off that didn’t make it up far enough to be very productive.

Here you go. I’ll label them. Enjoy. Grab the cheese puffs

First we have the Autoflower #1 (because it was the first one planted, there were two but one stunted)

Next up we have Autoflower #2 (this replaces the other Autoflower that stunted)
She’s moving right along, I topped her once.

She looks good with the little trim. There are still two huge leaves way down low that are still healthy.

And now. Presenting my Blue Dream Photoperiod Strain (plant of the month material?) she’s beautiful

Continued on my next post ran out of room

Temperature stays under 80 with lights on.

I have been blessed not to have bug problems( knock on wood) so far and where I am in Texas the humid just hovers between 50 and 60% and I don’t need a humidifier or dehumidifier. I don’t really worry about that either really. I’m one of the lucky ones I guess. Yaaaaayyyyyyy!!!!

Yea lol lookn good bro congrats. That bluedream is nice she guna yield nice for ya. I jus harvested mine it's a bluedream auto the other day. I got her bagged up drying now low and slow. So now she is starting to get that kinda grassy green smell but shit when u touch the buds they jus reek. So I know they should be pretty good with a low and slow cure/dry

My first harvest smelled like that even after it was in jars and cured for a long time. What causes that grassy hay smell?
It smelled really good when broken up but the jars just smelled like hay.

Looks awesome in there @DreamingTrees7 your plants look great! Mine do that too after watering, they typically perk back up pretty quick. They seem to look the happiest when they are getting close to bone dry.

Oh shit yea p-dubbs always got a poof or two on the ready

I ran some autos in a Los grow I did a year or two back. And I was running sweetseeds dark devil and red poison auto which are known for there smaller yields so maybe that was why I got so little. But I've heard from another good good organic grower @bobrown14 On here which is also the guy who taught me almost all I know for organic plus a few others but he was the one who started me on organic growing dude knows his shit lol. But yea he even said that his autos tend to be on the lower side as well so he jus runs more of them hahaha

Yeah I only got like 1-2 ounces per plant with autos in happy frog with synthetic nutrients. That’s when I switched to organic and photoperiod

I’ll be sad if that’s all I end up with come harvest time. I’m already a little iffy about autoflowers, especially after I had one go into flower when it was a few inches tall. I think that was my fault for overwatering. So far these look promising. We will see.
I like photoperiod plants a lot at this point, but this is my first run with Autoflower plants. Second run altogether. I was happy with my first harvest, it was about 7 ounces between two black indica’s vegged for one month before switching to 12/12.
I’m content with the happy frog starting out, but I want to go High Brix organic and really dial it in. Thanks for stopping by @DET—PDX I also want to try outdoor growing so I can see what a huge weed plant is like.

Yeah I would love an organic outdoor grow as well, never had the place and time to do it yet. I think 7 ounces is great for a first grow. My disappointing auto grow was my first so you did better than I.

What soil are you using now?

Coast of Maine Canna soil. Super soil compost ready to go from the big bag. Just add water, it’s got dolomite, lobster compost, fish bone, alfalfa, etc. If I start to water out the nutrients at the end I have Bloom City Organics fish fertilizer granules that I will top dress with. Otherwise I just add recharge bacteria and molasses in water occasionally, that’s it.

What I did on my last grow was just fill in the gaps with autos. I had 2 big photoperiod girls in 10 gal pots. While they were growing and doing there thang I was able to grow 2 autos, harvest them and then grow 2 more. I kept the autos in small pots so the yield wasn’t great but it filled in the gap between the big pots quite nicely.

The hay taste is from the chlorophyll inside the plant. This is removed from proper drying and curing practices. A slow dry and long cure after the dry and the hay taste will not be there.

Dang got alot of traffic up in here now. Glad to see things are on a roll for ya now dream an going good. But yea dream I agree wit mr. sug jus give it a nice low and slow dry/cure dude u wont believe the terp retention on that type of dry an cure. It does take alil longer but man imo it's so worth it lol. Take like a quarter n do it low and slow in the fridge an wow man u wont believe it. I jus wash my buds an hang dry for 3 to 6 hours jus to get most of that excess water out. Then into paper bags an into the fridge bottom drawer to sit for the next 2 weeks or so. Also u bring it out each for like an hour or so. I'm not fully sure on tht time frame. This is the part I gotta go back into the threads n check it out lol. But yea man I'm sure someone will have the link here to it. I think sweetsue maybe started it but it's from Ziggy's method maybe.?.? Idk I'm high right now  I smoked a fatty of the last of my highbrix buds with my cousin n he wanted to smoke the whole thing lol. Now hes napping on my couch while i check posts n play some video games:laugh:. But yea I jus checked my watched threads list and it's called Dr.ziggys low and slow drying maximize you're harvest. It's by @SweetSue there she is tagged in it so I'm sure she mite pop in otherwise swing over bro an check it out u wnt be disappointed that's for sure lol.

Wish I had a puff of some of that @Doc Bud High Brix bud. I will on my next run. I’m sold on that advanced new technique
