Nice last update dr! Scrumptious looking buds.

Speaking of readily available nutrients I was at home depot yesterday to fix my leaky faucet hose and checked out the garden section. They now carry all kinds of great nutrients like Dr Earth and Earth Juice. There was even a hole section called Black Magic. That was the name on all of the soil, nutrients, and fabric pots. A closer look at the tag on the fabric pots and they are made by smart pots. Gonna need to research where their soil and nutrients are actually comes from. The prices were very reasonable. So they have jumped on the cannabis train. I didn't see this line up last year. Yeah, so lots of options here in CO.

Howdy Doc!

We can have 6 up here per person with 3 in flower at any time. We are very lucky too. Interestingly those are the 4 places I have lived or am likely to live in the future. Ironic eh?

Glad your vacation was great. Sweet!
Bob ;)

Oh wow, I didn't know that. How cool, another state getting with the program. Out of all the states, WA is the only one that doesn't allow it's citizens to grow without a medical or production license. All the other states got it right. Hopefully that will change in the future.

High ya doc. ;)

Howdy Dusty, Sending  to you and your family!

Thanks AllSmiles. They're recovering from my neglect but I think it will be a good crop in the end. :high-five:

I noticed the same thing here. Smart really. Competition is great for us :):):) Drives prices down. The hydro stores have been ripping us a new one for years. Maybe with a few more competitors out there they'll stop being so greedy (probably not though)!

Yes! Please tell everybody. :thanks:

Hahahaha... yeah I already know the secret, I won't tell anyone!

Oregon should really see if it can get some more women from out of the state to come and start a family with the locals... helps deepen the gene pool and all. jus jokin.

I've been back to Oregon a bunch of times. Probably the ONLY reason I'm not living there is the big ass stinkin volcano - you can see it out your window.... from just about everywhere! <-- That and all the rain of course!

You guys talking about the micro brews .. that's what got me to the O coast the first time and to Portland! I was a home brewer cause I couldn't find decent beer. Kinda like canna now...

First time in Oregon, back in the 90s microbreweries were not in existence here on the right coast. Later in that first trip I drove down to Salem and I smoked a joint on the capital steps with strangers/new found friends. They encouraged me ... me pointing at the capital building "ummmm that's the capital, aren't there cops here?" Friends: "It's totally cool bro, you're safe here!" .... that was pretty awesome, I felt I was in the right place. I think that was a sign..

Reps to Ziggy for the tip on the Epsom Salts :thumb:... I've been adding a pinch or 3 to my regular watering and I'm seeing results. I've even added a bit to my foiler spray. I've used it before but I get Leary of using too much. Way way back in my early years of organics a mentor of mine showed me to add 1tbs to the hole I dug to transplant tomatoes in outside... I've done that many many times over the years but not so much in the container gardens. I always thought EWC and kelp have what I need. In no-til I think I need to re-think it and test some more.

We do foot baths with Epsom salts - go get a foot bath bucket at the Asian store and treat yourself. 1/2 cup Epsom salts to a foot bath bucket full of hot as you can take it water, kick back with your favorite meds and wait for the goodness; boom thank me later. :high-five:

Hey Doc - your plants look mighty fine.. healthy plants, healthy farmer. That's a "for sure" - keep it green brother!:Namaste:

Microbreweries yep, craft beer is happening all around Europe too. I'm more of a wine man, but in the summer it's nice to refresh yourself with a nice brew

Hi Bo!

Great idea for foot bath. We've got one of those fancy units with the massager and bubbles and all that crap. I'll try the salts in it.

I've been adding 1 tsp per gallon in my feed and foliar routine and it hasn't made any difference. I've also been adding organic Cal-Mag that has iron in it. I just realized, there's only 11-18 days left till harvest and they're doing their natural thing lol!!! What a Dumbazz hehehehe. Last night I top dressed with EWC and gave them a big ol dose of bat poop, humic acid, liquid fish, a little Mg. I swear they put on weight overnight.

You got that right Conrad. After working in the yard all day I can chug a micro-brew in one pull. They've got this new type of IPA called "Double" that some of the breweries are putting out. up to 11% ABV. You have to respect that or you'll end up with a pretty good headache.

A good red wine and a top shelf smoke is a sublime mix! :)

Hi LA!

Don't forget the steamed and chilled crab legs. Unbelievable!

Update time!

Let's get down to business, I talk too much as it is lol! I think you were right Brightlight. It's got to be an Iron deficiency. Does anyone know a good organic product that only has Fe? Don't really want to hit them with anything but Fe.:thanks:

Thanks Canad! I'm just going to let them go like you said. No sense worrying about these beautiful girls. They are really putting on the weight now. The next couple weeks they're going to double in density. I'm pretty stoked! :thanks:

That white Russian and strawberry are lovely plants. I can smell them from here. We need to swap some when your able to partake again.

Cheers

Beautiful flowers dr. Lost Coast really looks inviting. As usual, your flowers rank with anything on this site. I like your new plant "shape" with the main top cola intact. Growing a fat top bud is a fun grow within a grow, & a reason why I dislike topping.

If Fe is the problem, check your pH before adding anything. It doesn't take much of a pH rise to start causing Fe deficiency. You should have ample Fe in the dirt, maybe just not being accessed?

Absolutely beautiful Doc! Can't believe those buds are so big. Time flies!

Yep these are the buds that will be a valuable addition to your jar collection? They look like they're still maturing, so I believe you can still give them some morecare before you pull a plug. Are you sure you have iron def there? It's not so common, but quite easy to fix.

Greensand, alfalfa and nettles at on this list

Organic Nutrients

+1 on the nettles and they are ripe for pickin right now... We've already harvested a bunch. We collect them for human consumption (nettle tea) and we also make a nettle tea that ferments and use that on our plants. They are one of those plants that fixes nitrogen and many other minerals. The tea releases all the micro-nutrients to be available to the micro herd -> plants. The plants roots will get what they need for the ladies to build the big buds. That's one source.

Another is TM-7 from Bioag - go easy here. One of the 7 in TM-7 is Fe/iron. I've pretty much put that one on the shelf but I may try it again and just be lighter handed - a little goes a long ways.

I, as you know Doc don't stress the yellow too much way into flower. As long as there are younger leaves to take up the duties of photosynthesis you should be fine. That's a reason I don't take off leaves unless absolutely needed. Those old fan leaves are giving up the goodness getting those buds nice juicy smelly and resinous in hopes there's a male hangin out.

Some plants yellow... some don't. Your grow I'm assuming same soil all around... it's likely IMHO that genetics play a larger part than you in the senescence thing. make a EWC/kelp meal tea with some nettles or comfrey added in. That will fix any issues perceived or not. If the yellow continues. Don't stress, you're getting closer to the prize buddy!

Your bud pics look absolutely stunning!

I think you're rocking it as usual Doc - looking mighty fine to me.

Sorry for the late replies everyone. I'm cramming for an exam and I just haven't had any free time.

Good news, the deficiency is a Nitrogen def. It's happened to me before and I should have recognized it. Once I gave them a little more 3-3-0 fish, they all bounced back. Some of the leaves were to far gone to recover, but I'll just let them die and fall off naturally. I'm at day 49 today so making any huge changes now would be pointless.

I know why this happened and I've learned an important lesson here. I started this out as a simple Organic grow and then I got all amped up for the upcoming high brix grow. I abandoned my got to feeding routine and started foliars and calcium top dressings lol. They didn't know what the heck to think.

It's funny!

Tons o sweet sticky icky frost encrusted flowers.
Always nice to enjoy with my coffee.
happy days brother.

Thanks Dusty! Texas Blueberries Mmmmmmm!

They look so good it is impossible for me to choose a favorite! But that's on looks...what's the best smelling plant in there? Also lets see those 420 beans you just got!!

Hi Shiggs,

I've got to say it's the Lost Coast OG. I just love OG and this one doesn't disappoint. It's been solid all throughout the grow and will be the first to finish (7-10 days). A little N def but nothing like the others. I'll take a pic of those beans as soon as I get a chance!

drc..looks awesome in here..
iron sulfate may be what you are looking for..
iron sulfate - Google Search

Thanks Ziggs, Turned out to be an easy fix with the N def. Once I started looking up the plant pics with deficiencies it was obvious I didn't have an Fe def. A little extra fish and EWC and they all bounced back quickly!

They look Betty Crocker approved......(nice frosting) :thumb:

lol! Specially the SnC, that's one frosty lady!

Absolutely MT! Let's do it. It's always nice to try something new when the strain tolerance kicks into effect!

Thank you Brother light! The PH was perfect and that got me scratching my head. I went over to the ugly leaf thread and there it was big as day. N deficiency DOH!

I'm excited to see a big Cola. I haven't done any untrained plants since the 90s. It'll be interesting to see how much my yield suffers. But yield isn't everything. I also have these in 3 gal felt pots and could easily fit 12 into the tent where as my usual method it gets pretty packed with anything over 4.

Absolutely beautiful Doc! Can't believe those buds are so big. Time flies!

You and me both Blaze! It does seem to just fly by. I used to just freak out the last 3 weeks of flower picking test buds every day and spazing like a teenager lol! I'm learning to settle down a bit and it makes the time go by way faster. Plus studying my azz off.

Hi Conrad! I'm giving them lots of organic love right now and even though quality and yield will suffer to some extent, It will still be a good crop. They're all plumping up now. The LCOG has about a week left. The others are 2-3 weeks out.

Thanks again all. Back to studying. I'll stop by your neighborhoods as soon as I get a chance!
