Drcannabi's BudMaster GOD - Organic Soil - Venom OG - Autopots

Great looking buds doc. Cleaning seeds from bud before using brings back some throwback memories. A gallon a day makes me think I'm under watering indoor plants??:whoa:

Oops, my calculator was super stoned. They are actually drinking 5 gallons every other day for 6 plants. So a little under a half gallon a day. Great catch brother light! Good news 2 of the plants don't appear to be seeded as bad as the others. 1 or 2 seeds per bud rather than 10-20. We'll see.

Thanks so much for the response Doc!

Wow, what a game changer! The soil, RO water, AP and lights. Ok now I"m definitely scrapping my earlier plan and going in this direction. Almost seems so easy a caveman can do it...including my dumb ass! LOL

Peace! :lot-o-toke:

lol! Yep Beavis, so easy even a dumbass can do it. I had a flashback to Beavis and Butthead (Eh Uh hehe Beavis you're a dumbass) I just lmfaorotf ! Thanks for that.

It really is a game changer for me. I've spent the last 3 years or so trying a bunch of different methods using all sorts of products. From DWC to Soil to Organic soil to Living Organic Soil to High Brix soil (which is a specifically designed LOS). The setup I have now is truly plug and play. I'm loving it!

My grow store just got that soil. I hear it smells like fish, bad. But I also hear it works great. Which one are you using?

Awesome looking white colas Doc.

Cheers

Hey There MT. It doesn't smell like fish at all. I can see how someone could mistake the smell of "Hen Manure" for fish, but it's actually chicken shit they're smelling lol. Mine wasn't bad at all. In fact, once it was in the pots there was no smell what so ever. I've been growing organically for a long time so I'm not very sensitive to smells and this was very faint to me. I actually got mine shipped to me. I'm stoked that it's finally on the shelves. Please let me know which store is carrying it.

Thanks Brother!:thanks:

Awesome pic of the girls Doc, they look so healthy!

What exactly do you use for your foliar sprays? I went back and reviewed that in this journal and i see you do it about 3 x per week. I also saw your response to someone that you're doing their "IPM and other HB goodies throughout this grow" but I"m not sure what that means.

Thanks in advance!!:thumb:

Hey bud Mr Krip has the terms below. I use a specific foliar IPM recipe I got from BoBrown 2x a week and I use 3 products that are specifically used for HB growing.

IPM = 1 gallon RO water, 2.5 ml ProTekt, 20 ml Fulpower, and 30 ml Monterey Garden spray.

Foliars = Way Ahead 10x, Enthuse and Brix Blaster.

I started these plants in my own homemade HB soil before transplanting to the SoHum. Cost is about the same but not having to mix and cook the SoHum makes SoHum a better option for me.

Wow, a gallon a day. My plants don't even drink half of that. LOL! Fantastic looking plants doc!

lol, yeah I was super stoned and not doing very well with my minds calculator. It's a little less than 1/2 gallon per plant per day. Thanks for the kind words Brother!

IPM = "Integrated Pest Management" (pest control)
HB = "High Brix"

Thanks Krip!:thanks:

Lots of white sparkles in there Doc, you must be pleased :volcano-smiley:

Hi there CareStaker. I had just sprayed them with an IPM before taking those pics so a lot of the sparkles were reflections of the flash through the water. I've been smoking tons of test buds and man this stuff is Killer. It's got so much lemon diesel chem fuel taste the terps are out of control. The smoke is an instant hit to the head. Making you so calm and relaxed right after the exhale for about 5-10 minutes. Then it dissipates to a lovely body head high that can get you up or put you down depending on what you've got going. After about an hour the munchies set in and after raiding the fridge I fall a sleep watching TV. This is a serious hard hitting potent Indica that is perfect for the end of the day. I'm actually considering buying another pack and searching for a stable plant despite the hermi issues.

Aha! LOl Thanks bro, I got it now. can someone direct me to a journal or elsewhere where I can read more about how to do that. Would that be Doc Bud's journal?

Yes. Check out Doc Bud and Conradino. They are our resident experts for HB growing. HB soil is LOS that has been scientifically formulated to produce High Brix numbers in crop plants. It would work awesome with the AP system.

Hey there Doc - great set of ladies you have going there buddy! Those buds are big already thats awesome.

I've got all my AP pots filled with ladies - getting ready to fill the res - how high is your res off the ground??

Looks like those lights are killing it too!

Thanks for all the info Doc. :passitleft:..I'm a newb and just soaking all this and making notes (pages and pages of them lol :geek:) before i get started. :goof:

Can't wait to see how this grow turns out!

Hey there brother Bo! Mine is 9 inches above the floor. The AutoPots sit at floor level.

There's a couple things I've learned with using the system. "Before" placing your pots in the trays, set everything up dry. And do a test run to make sure there are no leaks. I was working on one of the plants and accidentally knocked one of the aqua valves off the place it snaps in. Drained my whole res into my tent. After your sure everything is set, secure and there are no leaks, turn off the valve at the res. Empty and repeat in this order.

Make sure the aqua valves are snapped in and the feed hose is flat on the ground. Place your pots in the trays and then turn the valve at your res on. Don't place the aqua valve covers on yet. Monitor every 10 minutes for leaks. After 2 hours, your solid. Just remember not to hit or kick the trays when you work on the plants.

The other thing is don't let your res get below 1/3rd full. I let mine empty and the force of the water flow knocked an aqua valve off. No biggie as I check every time now and monitor for 10-20 minutes after filling the res. That's why they instruct not to let it go below 1/3rd. They don't tell you why but heed those directions.

Other than those 2 issues, these things are fool proof and just work amazing. Product of the year for sure!

The lights are killing it at every level. The plants under the new GOD-8 have golf balls all the way down the stems and the colas are baseballs. Big buds all the way to the tent walls. Really exceptional coverage for an led. I'm very pleased.

Oh, All except the plant I'm hand watering. That one is healthy but has small buds lol. AutoPots FTMFW!

Welcome to the community Beavis! This place has so many great growers with skill sets that are as good as any on the planet. DWC, soil, LOS, HB, hydro tables, regular hydro in perlite, add infinitum. No matter what style you end up growing with, the most important thing is experience. You can read forever but getting your first grow under your belt will teach you more than all the journals combined.

Please let me know when you start your journal, I'd love to follow along.

Thanks for the tips there Doc Buddy! Awesome... I think/hope I got my mites under control. I hit em hard last night with Neem Oil and Dr Bronner's peppermint soap and 4x the usual Pro-tekt FTW - I found one or 2 freshly hatched today... f'ing borg is right.

Tomorrow heading down and dirty with another round of Neem oil and peppermint soap. I've never sprayed plants with soapy water before...It's actually mentally soothing knowing I'm kicking some critter ass. It's soo hot here the bugs have bugs. It's nasty ... in the real world outside it's raining and windy like tornado windy & driving rain, that kicks those mites to the gutter in the outdoor gardens.

Got my 60gal res hooked up tonight - thanks for the dry run tip - that should do it. So far the hardest part was up-potting and have to do that anyways.. next hard part will be toting 5 gal buckets to the 3rd floor flower room!! hahahaha I think my wife was offering to help!!

Next run will be flowering in a different room - get me some of those lamps your using, I'll have a much higher head room.

Hows the top bleaching going, I saw a few buds were doing that in your grow. I had 2 plants last run that did that and I just trimmed and jarred them. WHOA buddy.. the resins and terpines are off the charts with those plants, I thought I was cooking them but the buds are very heavy and dense and sticky as caramel on a hot summer day. I had to take a alcohol bath and I was still sticking to everything.

We should make some sort of resin for baseball players...hahahaha ..
next up to bat is Bud Ganja, he's batting 420 so far for the season. Booom home run!

Watching your run here with those GOD BUD blaster lamps I'm getting itchy sticky fingers ... me likes those bud porn pics - nice big arrow head shaped fatties... you got it going looking stellar.

Great job buddy.. keep it green and sticky FTW. :high-five:

Your new setup is killing it. Fantastic looking buds!

Thanks AllSmiles! The system is incredible. I've done no work since transplanting the seedlings into the AutoPots. Just have to keep the res full.

Hi there Bo! Yeah those mites are real Mothers. Glad you're getting them sorted out.

Lol on the baseball stickum! The white bleaching was on a couple plants that were under the GOD 1200 v1. That light is SO intense. I cut most of it off when I did my Bud building a couple weeks ago but there is still a little. The test buds from this venom are just sensational night time meds. The flavor is off the charts with the SoHum soil. Absolutely incredible smell and flavor. It's the kind where you know its going to knock you senseless just from the smell. The effects are felt immediately. I've never had a faster hitting strain ever. There are a few strains I've had that give you an instant head rush that dissipates quickly then starts building the high. This initial head rush lasts five minutes and will make you take a seat lol.

That weather sounds horrible. Break out your air-miles and head west. We're having the best weather of the year right now 80-90 degrees and 40% humidity. Drove up the Columbia River gorge yesterday and picked up some local cherries, peaches and a leg of lamb. Thousands of hiking trails around here too. Since my new job doesn't require any physical activity, I'm getting fat and out of shape. We're going to start on some 1-2 mile trails and then expand from there.

How's the AP system working for you?

Let's hope I won't need my cooltube anytime soon.

Hey Doc, this is the info they have at my local store on your soil.

They have it in stock but my local grow guys are suspect the it will go 75 days of flower with just water.

Cheers.

Thanks MT! Please PM me the location. I need some more, I screwed my knee up today and I don't feel like mixing soil.

Have your guys tried it or are they just speculating? I'm on day 57 now and they look great. 75 days seems a bit long for any soil without amendments. I've been doing some foliar feeding and I would highly recommend it when using straight RO. You've got to try this stuff MT. How much are the sacks?

I'm used to amending throughout the grow, but I wanted to test this set up. It really has impressed me. I haven't done any drenches (just foliar) and RO water in the res. I'd get a bigger res next time. Once they start drinking, they really drink! What you see in my journal is true reality. Point your local grow shop to this journal so I can answer any questions about my experience. I'm so stoked that they are carrying the SoHum. Do you know if they are carrying the AutoPot systems? That is the product of the year for me.

:Namaste:

Beautiful photos of your trip Doc.

It was so beautiful! The Columbia Gorge is one of the nations most beautiful places. Maybe even on earth. The soil is so rich, the fruit is the best tasting I've ever had.

Take care of that knee man. I usually over do at least one of mine each summer.

:passitleft:

Thanks MJ! Just chillin on the couch for a few days hoping the swelling goes down soon. I even appreciate my automated system even more now. Incredible!

Day 57 Update

Quick update: Day 57 12x12.

They are slowing down on water uptake and one of the plants is fading perfectly. The others are still super green but I blame that on the SoHum. They are loving it so much they don't even want to fade lol! Good news, The trichs are 10% amber, 5% clear and 85% cloudy. They are coming down this weekend. I have to chop them all at the same time and hang them in the tent to minimize the smell. I have 2 layers of carbon filter protection but only 1 when I have to run the AC. This is really not how I like to do it. I prefer to take each plant at their individual ripeness. But this will be an entire crop chop. I'll remove the fans and then hang them whole. They'll all be dry trimmed.

Lovely, are you feeding them? Looks like that soil works well.

Thanks MT!

I've been using only RO water. I do regular foliar IPM's and Feeding Mostly seaweed. But I haven't done any drenches. Just RO. I wanted to really put the AP system and the SoHum to the test.

What I'm really impressed by is the new BudMaster light. I cant believe the size of the buds and the health of the plants under that light. I know you're not an LED guy but this tech is definitely worth the price of admission IMHO.
