Drcannabi's BudMaster GOD - Organic Soil - Venom OG - Autopots

All great strain were hermi, in fact my GG#4 started that way. I believe you mentioned Joseph Whale or someone. Still looks awesome and those are hard to catch even if you're in there daily.

Cheers

We'll have to do some testing and see if we can find a seed that doesn't herm. To be honest my eyesite is so bad I hardly ever see the hermis unless they're full on balls. I found some early on and snipped them off, but the nanners are so hard to see. I really don't know if it was one plant or multiple plants that were the culprits!

Since I had all the plants out, I cleaned out the AutoPots and dialed in the tubing!

:sorry: Yep...."gutted" works well when that happens.

Thanks MJ! "Gutted" = all my plants getting seeded while my hopes were the highest of any grow yet! SO Bummed!

Hey brother. That sux, but ya gotta take the bad with the good. Did they all produce pollen? You may have a ton of female seeds.:)
or not who knows.
Happy daze.

Thanks Dusty, and you're right! Take it all in stride because sometimes life throws curve BALLS lol! Anyways, really looking forward to some Cheese next round.

Beautiful buds, Brother! :bravo:

Sorry to hear about the tranny hanging out in your grow room! :cheesygrinsmiley:

You said that it hasn't happened to you before, so I'm assuming your space is light-proof (no light leaks) and, by the looks of the Venom, the plants sure don't appear to have been stressed, so it sounds like you got a seed genetically prone to hermy and there was nothing you could do.

So, don't beat yourself up - it could happen to any of us!

If that's correct, most all of her seeds will also be likely to hermie and I would be VERY careful about growing those out with any plants you were didn't want to get pollinated. ;)

Hey bud, yeah I've had hermies and seeds pop up now and then, but nothing like this. Every bud is FULL of seeds. The environment is dialed so I know its not that. Like you said, just got a plant or plants that were prone to hermi. I went back and checked every plant and I cannot see any more balls, so it's got to be a nanner(s) somewhere that I just can't find.

Definitely don't want to pass on the hermi traits so I'll probably just eat them or throw them out.

Wow...so, so pretty. I wish Budmaster would go ahead and release their new COB-X line so I can hand over my wallet for either one of those or the GOD 9. I'm popping a nanner right now thinking about it .

Hey there Brother Bo! The AutoPots with LOS are incredible. Make sure you build your soil cause the AP system can't take any organic inputs :). That's why mine is doing as well as it is. Just CaliMagic and RO. I talked to Ellis at SoHum and he recommended RO only so that's it from here on out. This system is a game changer for me.

Thanks Doc - RO water is whats on the menu for the ladies anyways. Sometimes I do top drench with goodies - no go with the auto pots?

Building soil - yay us.. love me some worm castings and granite dust FTW. I bought a bunch of bags of already mixed PREMIER BioMax 3-in-1 Garden Mix is a ready-made blend of compost, black earth, and Canadian sphagnum peat moss with mycos and limestone dust.. I add in a crap ton of aeration a few minerals "and so forth". Ready ... grow.

Hey Doc gotta give you some serious reps for the Auto Pot system. This is some serious gear. I just transplanted a lady that just showed sex last night into one of the pots ... she never skipped a beat. I think the 6.6 gal pot size is perfect for big LED lamps like what you are using with a short over head. I have a 7 foot ceiling in my flower room and I've got the lamps at 6' - ladies grow to 48"-58". Some ladies don't like the intensity. I think I need to start them out hot (higher intensity) so they get used to it in flower.

I see you got some bud bleach. I had that too last run plants not used to the big lamps I think; top nug goes white ... still tastes good on the back side - the plants stop vertical growth pretty much as soon as the white tops show is my experience. Try training that will work??

Fast forwards to now.. yikes. Seeds .. hey man I can remember when we were smoking up all the good strains from the 70s - they all had seeds.. well a few exceptions (Maui Wowi is one, Thai Stick too). It's part of the whole.... round ball life keeps moving on. You will to bro - no worries no worries, love and life still with you, right?.. :rasta::Namaste:

Seeds aren't the end of the world - they are the beginning. If you're stressing where they came from.. could be the neighbors f-ing up too ... nice wind and boom.

Aaaaaaaaaahhhh....Those were the days! Whipping out the Cheech & Chong "Big Bamboo" album to de-seed a $40 zip. And, nothing like that small "explosion" 3" from your face when you miss one! :cheesygrinsmiley: I remember when I first saw the Maui Wowi and thinking it looked like clippings from someone's flower garden compared to anything I had seen before. And the taste on the Thai Stick was like a fine hash! Thanks for the memories!!! :thanks:

Damn Doc, i feel for you brother, had this happen to me a few grows back and defo not a good feeling, i didnt even realise till harvest as the culprit was hidden down the back of the tent. I hope White S1 didnt get pollinated and turns out to be a bumper harvest for you mate, she sure does look pretty :thumb:

Hi Cano! The biggest problem with LED tech is footprint. After growing exclusively with them for 4+ years I can say without a doubt the new GOD tech had the best footprint of all the lights I've used.

Instead of a GOD-9, I'd opt for 2 GOD-4 lights. That way you would have more options with hanging distance, coverage etc. I don't have any experience with the COB lights but I doubt the would exceed the results of the GODs.

My optimal setup would be 5-6 GOD-4s in a 5 square foot grow area. In a 4x4 tent is go with 4 GOD-4s. I'm not a scientific guy like Icemud, but I've never seen any plants respond the way the ones responded under the new GOD tech. I'm used to a long period of transition with "all" my other LEDs so I was very surprised when the plants under the GOD-8 didn't skip a beat going from T5 to LED.

Hey brother Bo! Yes you can do drenches with the AP system. Just turn it off for a few days and then turn it back on once the drench gets used up.

Thanks for the heads up on the PREMIER BioMax 3-in-1. It sounds like a solid building block for a beat LOS! I'm giving a gigantic 2 thumbs up to SoHum soil. This is the first water only soil I've ever had that actually thrives with water only. Of course I'm doing foliars 3x a week.

I'm super impressed with the AP system too. I noticed the same thing absolutely no transplant shock what so ever. Wait till her roots reach the water, grown explosion to follow quickly after, ya ya buddy giant plants FTW!

I've noticed the same thing with all my other LEDs except the new Budmaster GOD tech, I was blown away with how quickly the plants under that light became acclimated to the intense light. Best LED I've ever had by a mile!

Hehehe, good reminder brother! The good ol days where half the lid was seeds and you'd spend all day grinding and rolling joints. I'm totally over it and am now looking at my best options for making hash lol!

Lol! I just had a flash back to my trusty wooden pipe and getting a seed explosion to the eye ball! Those were the days of low expectation weed for sure. Green bud didn't show up until the 80s and that changed the game but those bricks of seeded brown weed were what I grew up with.

Thanks Feral! What did you end up doing with your seeded crop? I'm thinking about making hash out of the whole lot. Honestly though hash is too powerful for my tastes, I really don't enjoy be overwhelmingly out of it. I like to be able to think and function. I'll probably give it all away to my patient.

I hadn't even thought of going with two 4s instead of the 9. Hmmm. Mrs. Canobud agreed to let me build a room in the other end of our basement, so I'm suddenly going from a 2x2.5 gorilla tent stuffed in a 3x4 closet to a 12x16 room I can do whatever I want with :cheesygrinsmiley: My plan is to partition it carefully (lightproof) with some sort of heavy cloth or similar into a veg room, flower room, and a larger prep/storage area. It's just for the Mrs. and I, so a generous enough area to flower 5-6 sizable plants will suit me just fine. I just want to make the absolute most lighting-wise for whatever that flower area footprint ends up being. My current tent's light (12-band Kind L300) will be relegated to veg area duty.

Wait .. what.? you had green bud in the 80's ... WTF... I'm jelly and mad as hell and I'm not going to take it any more! ... oh ..wait? Sorry I had a flash back to "no green buds in the 80s" well that I didn't grow ... hahahaha Everyone was soooo paranoid from Leo that we had to break out some of those seeds we stashed from the 70s and grow our own "homegrown" - yeah buddy! Boom here we are! FTMFW! :high-five:

Hey Doc you were spot on with the AP system, I transplanted a lady I could hardly tell was a lady and seriously overnight to lights out today, flowers everywhere. All I did was fill the btm res with RO water. WOW that was super fast. She just beat out her sister that's been in flower for a week in 1 night/day cycle after transplanting the day before. That's crazy off the charts, well my charts anyways.

IPM with goodies is a lot easier than buckets ... I'm in. I've got some serious transplanting to do.

Hey brother, time to make some oil - do a thread on that. " Make hay while the sun shines"

Keep'em green
