I had a notion that there may be copious numbers of carp about....so I threw half a can of corn in the river...LOL....river! Anyhoo, I hooked one and I had to get in the water cuz it went around a piling and was gonna snap my line......about 6 lb fattie carp! It was kinda fun anyway...........and for the first time in my life I let itgo...alive! Loadie was with me...LOL!

LOL we have a lake up here where the ducks walk across the Carps backs. some are well over 50lbs and yes they are super fun to catch. I took my daughter fishing there when she was 5 or 6 and she hooked one about the size of the one you got. she still talks about how much fun that was:)
