Dr. Cannabi's Kali Mist - DIY Organic Soil - Medical Grow & Show

Re Post#329: Haven't seen STG on the market, but I bet it's similar to Fleece they make clothes out of. I know that's also made from recycled pop bottles, and has several traits in common w/STG you mentioned.
Fun fact: it only takes 2-3 2-liter pop bottles to make a Med-sized sweater.
Hope this helps.

This is really interesting stuff. Thanks Ranger! :cheertwo:

Hey my friend, glad your back and your gardens in fine fetal. Paul is a top guy and I'm glad you wede able to sort your extra clusters :)
Hopefully soon ill finally get my hands on them BM strips, so ill be able to show how they do for side lighting for ya! :)
Anyway best of buds to you and yours! :)

Hi LA,

You're right about Paul, he's a really good guy. I get the sense judging by his available time that he is one busy dude. I think he needs to hire you as a field expert hehe!:high-five:

I am truly amazed at the output of these GOD lights. I literally had to strap my light to the very top of the tent to keep my girls from wilting from the power. I just flipped it to full GOD mode yesterday and I had to move a couple plants just out of the direct light because it was too strong. I've never seen such tight nodes. Made the decision to get the DIY panels pretty easy.

Basically at 225 watts in my 5x5 tent, it was more than enough to grow all my seedlings into teens.

Looking forward to seeing the side lights in action. These GOD panels are game changers. :peace::Namaste:

Good morning Doc.....how it goes?......probably sleeping right now:)lol......a big Congrats on getting 4 god panels.....i know you will put them to proper use:)......i got confirmation.....mine will be here tomorrow:).....i cant wait to get them bad boys hooked up and building lower buds:)......hope you have a wonderful sleep and plenty of Green Dreams:)

Lol, I woke up about an hour ago. Grabbed some coffee and hopped on here hehehe! I'm excited for your side lights buddy! I'll stop by and try to find your Sunday update lol.

The Hawks are going to have their hands full with scrubby's Patriots. With or without soft balls, they dominated a team that already beat Seattle this year. I just wish the Pats were better human beings. You know, like Richard Sherman lol.

Happy Wednesday GD :high-five:

Hey thanks for responding.

You're soil definitely will be capable of being recycled, which is at least a positive to what we are doing here. You should look into no till methods which will allow your soil to improve year by year.

Hi CC!

I'm very interested in what you've got going on. I really appreciate your knowledge and spirit of earth friendly gardening practices. I'll stop by and check out your neighborhood.

I'm really new to this organic sourcing thing. In fact I've only had 3 grows using OLS. This one is my 4th. I have a lot to learn. Welcome aboard. Hope you will continue to make this thread educational. :welcome::thanks::Namaste:

Hey Doc welcome back - glad the girls were easily tco'd!! Nice isn't it not have to have any complicated process for care?

I gotta question - what are the "DIY Budmaster G.O.D. pannels" you write about?? Can you point me in the right direction. Basically anything DIY is of interest especially LED lighting/electronics...

Cheers

You said that right Bo! There just cannot be an easier way to grow than organic living soil. If I can do it anyone can. The folks at KIS are now offering their soil in bags for those who cannot mix their own. Could be ideal for small gardens that want to see what the whole OLS thing is all about.

The DIY panels are single panels that can be used without a housing. It allows someone to just hang and start growing or to built their own light all together using the Budmaster technology at much less cost. It is a more work but for handy folks it's definitely a great more affordable option.

LA has made a couple of his own fixtures using these panels and some dish drying racks :) he has the best knowledge of the specifics. Mine will tale a while to get here, but I'll have a better idea what they're all about once I see them.

Happy Wednesday Bo! :Namaste:

Thanks Doc - I'm super interested in building my own panels - I build my own tube amps for analog sound - everything from scratch even the cases and I will be all over this like ... ahem fungus gnats on over-watered cannabis@@! I'm kinda handy with electronics. I've got a sun room with LED back lights (ultra blue spectrum) that I turn on at night for the house plants and seedlings, promotes leaf growth so I'm really interested in building some LED lights with those bad ass G.O.D. panels. Where can I purchase them for DIY.

Hi Bo,

A man after my own heart. I've got a Marshall Bluesbreaker with KT 66s. It's my favorite. Would love to see some of your work.

Here's the link to Budmaster DIY page. I hope you'll. Consider these. I can't imagine anything coming out within the next 2 years that will compete with them.

Sorry if you already posted an answer to this but how many kf the clusters did you get Dr?

Hi scrubby, no need to apologize ever. Any questions you have just fire away. :peace:

In my 5x5 tent, I have the GOD 675 that has 9 panels. That light runs at a little over 400 watts. I just purchased an additional 4 DIY panels to place anywhere there is more light needed. I'll have to wait until I receive them to determine hang location but they will most likely go in the corners.

LA has some pictures of his CD rack DIY fixtures in his journal but I can't remember what page they are on. I'll post some pics and my experience with them as soon as I get them. I'm Freakin stoked:cheertwo::volcano-smiley::cheertwo:

Edit: it's the first link in his signature. He's the site expert on these bad boys.

I was examining many factors to justify the price but I just dont see it guys! I wanna push the button but cant seem to do it! I LOVE the versatility they offer and theyre obviously a wonderful product but just not cost effective from my standpoint.

Thanks LA,

You'll always be the site expert to me lol. :420:

Scrubby, I totally get it. I think this light is so different it's just really hard to justify the asking price. That is the only downside to this light. If these DIY panels are what I think they will be, that might be a way to get in without the gigantic price point. My understanding is that the investment in the technology is what's driving the price point. I totally get it but also realize it puts these lights out of range for allot of folks. I've been on band wagons before, but this light is unlike anything I've personally witnessed including 1000 watt HPS setups.

I hope as more people jump on the train, the price point will become palatable. Crossing my fingers that we'll all be growing with these in a couple years. :Namaste:

I love your optimism Dr! Thats why yours is one of my favorite journals to read :)

On another note tho...in a couple years this technology, of which we are speaking, will be by the wayside so to speak and there will be a "bigger and better" product for growers like us to swoon over (yup, I said swoon lol). Well, until then kets enjoy what we have and the fruits of our labors :)
Happy Thursday Dr :)

Hey Doc.....just thought i would let you know i got my light bars and installed two of them today.....dang these things are bright as hell......i hope they perform as well as i think they will.....and i love they are made with top bin osrams....and are affordable:).....i hope you are having a great day.....now i cant wait to see you get your new lights and how you set them up:)

Hi GD!

I have no doubt your BLMs are going to kill it. I would guess by reading through their literature and checking the comparison test results, they are going to surpass all your expectations. I'm watching very closely as my next purchase will be side lights.

Happy Thursday GD :volcano-smiley:
