Dr Bob Comes Home With Fruit Punch & Lemonista Aid - So Please Don't Be Critical

Nah, back in those days I ran a high productivity but crazy team of folks. Good times for sure. I had to stay out of they seriously wild pranks and hyjinks they would get into. When crazy glue and toilet seats came up I had to call a truce between the players.

Yikes!
Bob ;)

Hey I have a home remedy for this ailment of broken record mental song playback.

CANNABIS!!!

Peace and Herb and Jesus! - Vlad:bongrip:

Hey Vlad I may just have some of that stuff around. Hang on a sec. :rollit:

Wait, now its just a different song. These Are a Few of My Favorite Things Of course my daughter walking around singing it over and over may have something to do with it. :loopy::loopy::loopy:

Good to see you comrade! :high-five:

Beautiful display Doc... When are you leaving and how long are you going to be gone.... This is gonna suck... Ya hope you have a great time...:;):...:circle-of-love:

Aw thanks D! Leaving this morning at the crack of dawn. But while I can't do updates on the girls, I will still hop on here once in a while for sure. No way am I going without my friends for that long. :circle-of-love:

Bob ;)

I see your next round of girls are all set to shine. They have some big shoes to fill.

Looking good brother.

Captain, there's a link to the SWICK thread in my signature. (It's in blue) All your questions will be answered there, but basically it's a method of letting the plants water themselves. The pots sit on a large reservoir filled with perlite. Maintain the water level at about 1-2" below the surface and the perlite wicks the water to the pots and into the soil on demand. It'll allow him to leave the flowering plants for days without concern about drying out at this critical stage.

Thanks Man, totally missed that I was contemplating some wicking methods last year when I was working away from home 14 days @ a lick.

Girls look great... Filled in the tent real nice. Myself I do alot of topping. Not that all plants do good topped but if they work, I'd rather send a extra couple weeks in veg and double, even triple yields. I did a Critical Mass outdoors last year. Wasn't shabby 2 lbs, And the herbs were nice for my area. Nice Keepem Green

Hey Blaze! I really like this group but the strawberry blue may just get out of hand! :thedoubletake: I guess now I can go watch your super cropping on those kushes and learn a bit or I am going to loose head space soon! Let's get this started here...:rollit:

So no more cool plant updates? Who is taking care of them, Ms. Bob?

Vlad

Nope! I had a house full of flowering girls all on their own with no one to watch them at all. They sat on their SWICKs and waited for our return. At least it doesn't look like they threw a party while we were gone :theband::party:

Nothing but good to report about my SWICKs now after getting home. They worked perfect for my plants for 7 days all alone. I won't use them day to day but they are now my new go to for leaving town. :thumb:

I need to do more topping, but got on the LST train and never got off. I did top the Fruitilicious below and she is loving it. I will have 8 nice tops in short order. 16 if i top again and I think I will. Your right on longer veg times if you can do it. I think that has been my biggest cause for disappointing yields. :passitleft:

I miss you already... This is going to be forever.......:circle-of-love:

It sure seemed like it. One of the most exhausting trips we have had in...well...ever! Being back is fan freaking tastic! :circle-of-love:

:ciao: Dr. Bob,

Your plants called....they miss ya too.

:circle-of-love:

Howdy Canna! Dang fine to see you! Grafting now? You are turning into a very fun mad scientist. I  it!

Are you sure on the girls missing me though? Because when I opened the door to the house it smelled like a pretty good time was being had without us. And then we opened the tent and I am sure they were doing just fine without the good Dr.

No rot, no bugs, no mildew, just happy heavy buds everywhere. Huzzah!

And another from above
Critical_Kush_Punches_3-2-16.jpg

The lemonista had to be tied up as she had become too big headed to stand up straight.
lemonista_3-2-16.jpg

Critical Kush should be done very soon I am thinking. She looks close and is 51 days from flip as are they all of course. With a 55 day breeder time quote, 10 days or so should do it. Time for some tric shots.
critical_kush_3-2-16.jpg

And the Punches. Oh yeah!
fruit_punches_3-2-16.jpg

Of course, on my way to the flower tent I could see a bit of the veg tent and as I had left it open I couldn't help but notice this!

This was before I left one week ago

The Strawberry Blue is going to be requiring some pretty tough  to keep her from being too tall I am fearing.

Money Maker is doing all she can to live up to her name

Pineapple Chunk is short stout and lovely

And finally my Fruitilicious has developed 8 very nice tops and I am thinking a bit of LST and a topping is in order!
Fruitilicious_3-2-16.jpg

Well there you have it folks! The SWICKs worked fantastic for 1 week. I will write that all up with water amounts and such for future reference as it was very helpful. I did see a 15% increase in RH that dropped each day until back to normal at the end of the week.

 to all you green Brothers and Sisters out there tilling the soil, checking the PPMs and dropping the lights just a tad more.
Bob ;)

Looking great man. Fat ass colas.... I back read abit and last I talked was about the stretch, I meant you can use the mh in the first week of transition. I hear it will help 'alittle'. Kind of one of those things if you didn't break out a tape you couldn't tell. But your girls look perfect for a tent. Least to me. Any bigger wood'nt really help yield much. Doing a great job, beautiful pic's. Keepem Green

Alright my dr from another mother dr lol.

Great news my friend. I love it when a plan works the way you see it in your mind. The swick was a fantastic idea and I will be using it next time I leave town. Your plants are looking absolutely healthy and beautiful. Great job Dr. :high-five:

I'm very glad the SWICK worked, and worked beautifully by the looks of things. Maybe something to consider on a more permanent basis??

Your plants look like they need a bit of salad dressing. LOL! Beautiful my friend!!

Awesome looking plants, heavyweight buds and bushy veggies. Nice work Dr.

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Perfect. Getting songs stuck in heads is one of my favorite games! We actually turned it into a game in my old office and would sneak songs into circumstances to see if we could do it without them knowing we were doing it. Whistle, make it play softly on speakers, etc. We were ruthless if anyone ever let out a song that they never could here without it getting stuck!

Bob ;)

Pure evil! Shame on you. I bet you even tortured visitors with your shenanigans.

I once deployed an 'update' to our network startup script... replacing everyone's little login sound with a really odd and obscure piece from Jim Steinman (Meatloaf's writer) across an entire network. My life was threatened.

Thanks, they are loving life right now with not too much further to go. On the stretch, good suggestion as I do have an MH setup as well around this place somewhere. Maybe it should be applied to my overachieving strawberry blue! Any inch might help.

:Namaste:

I never imagined it would work as well as it did. Kudos for those that went before me and had no hesitation to say it would work. Man do I owe a ton of karma points around this place! :Namaste:

Dang they would be tasty huh? Cannabis oil vinaigrette with canna croutons

The only problem for me going full time SWICK is the dead end nature of my flower space and how RH just seems to stay high back there. I know the solution but I haven't pulled out the hole saw yet for the walls. :high-five:

Awesome looking plants, heavyweight buds and bushy veggies. Nice work Dr.

Man is that the pot calling the kettle black. You are killing it over at your place! Thanks for the kind words my friend!

I LOVE THAT TRICK!!!! I have run many IP phone systems and that could be modified for some stupid fun. I love Meatloaf, good choice! We used to make little apps with the icon for common desktop things. When you would click lets say your Macintosh HD (Macs) or your Explorer (PC) the icon would duplicate all over the place making it almost impossible to find the real thing in icon view. Drove newbies nuts. Kinda like the vault scene in Harry Potter. With a name like that he should be a wizard grower right? :rollit:

Congrats Bob, not easy to have away time from such an operation at home, especially 7 days.

Cheers looking good!

V:bongrip:

No doubt buddy. I just worried about them all week. I had my remote temp/RH monitor I could look at and try to imagine what was happening back in the tent. Should'a hooked up the bud cam. Just ran out of time.

:thanks: all!
Bob ;)

How about a genuine update with actual information. :hmmm: Today I had to get busy and tear down the SWICKs and clean up a bit. A good time to take stock of the situation and see what is next. First the vegging girls had to be cleaned up and pinned down. The Strawberry blue is a beast, I hope she flowers strong like she vegged.
veg_group_after_swick_removal.jpg

When I pulled the pots off the veg girls they had rooted well into the perlite. Here is Strawberry Blue after she was pulled!
Strawberry_Blue_Rooots_3-.jpg

In the flower tent I had a chance to get them into the tub and get some pics. First up Punch, Fruit Punch.

and finally

Next up the Critical Kush! She had to be tied up too.
Critical_Kush_3-3-16.jpg

and coming up fast from behind is Mega Lemonista
Lemonista_3-3-16.jpg

And that is where things stand in the Docs place. Just sitting back and watching PeeJay's soil grow some mean plants while Cannafan Designs Felt Pots cradle them softly. All a Doc has to do is sit back and smell the roses.

I'm going to have to learn to LST, your plant shape is amazing with all great flower sites.

Cheers
