Dr Bob Comes Home With Fruit Punch & Lemonista Aid - So Please Don't Be Critical

Nice looking flowers. I'm trying to get a perspective on how different growers cull they're plants. Those head on shots give more of what I'm looking for then top down.

Thanks Doc.

:welcome: I agree, there should be more pics from that angle!

Why thank you 'O Queen of the Tut! :circle-of-love: Flowering time is so much fun!

Especially on the weekends! :tokin:

Great shots of the girls!

I'm off to read up on some strains...and strain my eyes. LOL

Strain 'em good and come back with dreams of super sativa in your head and indica karma relaxing your soul!

:Namaste:

Hey, Dr. Bob! How do you keep your flowering ladies from dropping all their leaves during mid to late flower? I'm talking major shedding here, not just a few old fan leaves now and then.

Any special nutes or additives?

I had that problem, was only in week 3 and losing a fan per day but it stopped once I added more elemental nitrogen

The only difference in my veg and flower nutes is the amount of N. So should I just keep using the veg nutes? For how long? Will this prevent the leaves from drying up and falling off? Will it prevent most of the smaller buds fro also drying up?

I would stop by week 6. I'm in week 4 and still pumping in the elemental nitrogen. In your case that would be "grow" or veg nutes

Read your plant like a book, if she's showing classic signs of nitrogen deprivation and you know you've switched to heavy bloom nutes and little to no grow or veg nutes, likely she is hungry for the N.

I recommend not feed N throughout the whole stage of flower,
I like to stop two-thirds the way and let her finish the last 3 weeks on just flower nutrients. And only 70 ppm of N.

If you don't follow the standard chart recommended on the bottles, you would have to do a little bit of calculating to know how much Nitrogen you will be adding.

I was going to have "perfect" leaves during flower but messed up by letting the PPM get to 1300 in coco and I had cut the N too early at just week 3 in flower. Fortunately just tip burn..

I'm a soil grower so PPM means nothing to me. Sorry, Old school, vegetable garden grower, here. ;-) But I have one OGK left still early enough to use the veg nutes. I will give it a try. She's my last hope to save this strain.

Beautiful ladies Dr. I'm excited for you. This is my favorite time of the grow. Just watching as they plump up like big Ole tomatoes lol.

Great job my friend!

No doubt. Interesting of note today. I put them on the SWICKs that had about 3 gallons of water each, also watered the plants directly as well with a snack since it would be my last chance for some time. They took all of it. This morning the tubs were almost dry and I swear the buds swelled 10% or more. Plump up would be a good description. This is going to be a fun final month.

Hey there! Great nutes discussion! I have had this problem in past grows when I let off the veg nutes too early and let it get away from me. I ran over and replied in your journal AKgramma, but yes it sounds you are running short of N. So getting that back will help stop the loss but will not gain any back at this stage in the grow.

Question though. You said your veg and flower nutes are exactly the same except for the amount of N. Is there not an increase in at least P?

This grow my soil has everything already from the beginning in the mix that I was lucky enough to find from PeeJay. He has been a huge help. One of the best finds I feel that he sent this way was Yum Yum Mix. It is a non burning N strong fert with an incredible mix of stuff in it. I cut it into the top of my girls regularly in both veg and flower. They are loving it. I love not worrying about burning my plants which was something I excelled at using FF.

Please let me know i can help anymore. I will stop by your journal tomorrow and see whats happening!

Lovely ladies you have growing for sure my friend! Sit back and admire your hard work as it comes back for you with interest, in a wave of bountiful buds o plenty :)

That is a wave I am going to be just too happy to surf! I love this time of the grow and it just gets better. We need smell-o-journals so I could give you all a sniff. Getting nice for all the senses in there.

Thanks for the compliment! :thanks:

What's up Doc......:circle-of-love:

Lazy Sunday afternoon for sure. Kids watching Cinderella, about to make Play Doh. Plants need nothing but  today.

So happy to be here, another awesome journal to follow. Critical kush, Lemonista and fruit punch sound right up my alley!

Fantastic! They are starting to smell wonderful so it's terpene time! So just the right moment to show up I think.

:welcome:
