Dominic’s First Outdoor AK-47 Grow Journal

Awesome looking grow! Excited to see how they turn out. I wanted to get some of those seeds today. I will get some AK seeds soon for sure. I'll pull up a chair for sure. Blessings!
 
@Dominic8189 The dispensary I went to yesterday had a hefty inventory of Humbolt varieties. It was nice to see. I recently got a good bunch of seeds from another grower and then I bought some seeds from one of the forum sponsors @New420Guy Seeds . Otherwise I would have picked up a couple packs of theirs too. LOL

I am at my limit (space) for my outdoor plants unfortunately. I will be doing my first indoor grow soon. Just need to finish up the location where I plan to do it. Lights are coming in today. I have nowhere to put them though! LMAO

I have plenty of growing space in my front yard though! How beautiful it would be to include some hemp or any damn plant I want mixed into my edible landscape.

What an amazing day it will be when we can cultivate and grow in our front yard without worry of prosecution of regulators that prefer a noose around our necks with a taste for tax money. I am not a fond supporter of the way CA persuaded the voters about recreational "legalization". Over taxation and the way it is regulated is driven only by the almighty dollar. Much of the heritage and culture of cannabis now seems like a thing of the past. Sorry...random stoned target. Ok. Got to get my ass going and gets some chores done. But first...another toke of this yummy Star Pepples from CRU. Quite yummy and stony...
 
Good morning y’all. So i topped those two plants Thursday night and here’s a couple pics one that has seemed unharmed at all by the stress of topping. It’s really starting to grow the branches now on the lower portion working its way up.

Same here! Only my second year too. First time from clones and first time I have germinated my own seeds. Last year was my first year growing but I bought the plants from a local grower. He created his own crossed and produced his own seeds. I bought teenage plants that he planted from seed and were confirmed female. Paid extra but it was worth it. The experience was great but I ruined my buds in the last couple weeks. Months of love and work that was ruined by 2 weeks of complacency. NOT this year!

From everything I have read hear and watched in other places, having quality seed genetics is half the battle. Cannot go wrong with Humbolt. They have been doing it right for a long time with a lot of stable genetics.

They look good. It’s good to let the plants completely dry during veg to promote root growth. Here’s is a link to a watering guide that is a must read for us growers.

Count me in for the ride! I grew ak-47 last summer in my closet. My only successful grow lol.
 
Thanks y’all! Yeah I heard AK is somewhat easy to grow so that’s why I’m trying this strain. If all goes well...maybe try some newer strains. Just hard to pick the right ones for my climate. Hot and dry. I know a lot of strains can be finicky with temp and humidity

Maybe you had a little toxicity but once that baby starts flowering it wants a lot of nitrogen. Look into blood meal if you ever have any N deficiencies, it slowly releases its nitrogen over about a month.

Good stuff, Dom. Now try to keep the laterals on the top flat while the second layer catches up.
She will reward you well.
