Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

This journal is about to hit 1000 pages ...

So fellow misfits, I did the first trench yesterday, no, the day before. Am I good to go with the Brix now? In the instructions, the guide schedule, bricks is indicated the day after plain water. Should I wait till then? I have a number of true nodes already.

:Namaste:

So....someone reported to Paypal that DocBud's sells CBD....which we don't, never have, never will and haven't ever.....

Consequently, until we get the issue straightened out----gonna take some time a lawyers----we're scrambling to get things back up and running.

Try again later today or tomorrow and we should be good.

I'm very sorry about this. It appears an unknown competitor has falsely reported us.
Sorry Doc! Hope it get started squared away without to much of a headache

Go ahead Amy...Brix now if ya like...good time.

I'm having an issue that just cropped up with the leaf tips on my Malawi curling up. I just noticed this yesterday, so it's very recently gotten this way. Normally I would think it was nutrient burn as she's a light eater, but she's had a Transplant drench on the 7th and plain water on the 11th and 15th, so nothing recently to cause over feeding. She just got a recharge today along with her water as she was due. And she'll be ready for her first Cat in about 4 days when she's thirsty again.

Any thoughts on what this could be?

I have this happening now on two Sativa leaning plants, Genius and Golden Pineapple. In my case it started as minor tip burn on all my blooming plants, the others are Indica leaning plants. I’m in 3rd run soil, and at recharge time I also top dressed some EWC. This may have been where I went wrong, as the soil probably didn’t need any more. I tried a half strength Cat drench at 30 days post flip, and the curl and burn got worse with these two specific plants, so I’m running straight water the rest of the way. The temps is 81 lights on, and I also raised the RH from 50% to 60%. I’m in 7 gal pots with these. The straight water and RH adjustments appear to be helping, as there has been no more progression of the burn, up curling leaf tips. Interestingly the Indicas responded with dark green leaves that the tips curled down “clawed” but with less tip burn.

Thanks DL. This is weird for this cut. Normally the tips are dark green, almost blue (slight P deficiency) and curled down most of bloom as it doesn't like the amount of nitrogen in the soil. That's even in 1st run soil. This time I've been going light on all drenches with an extra water between drenches as well. I think I am still feeding as often though because of the companion plants speeding the water cycle up. She's due for a Cat shortly. I think I may squeeze in another plain water first though.

Dang Doc, almost to a 1000 pages! Pretty cool.

Update on payments stuffs: Stripe is now DBHBB's new payment processor, and as of now is up and running on DocBudsBrix.com. Orders should be able to move smoothly.

FWIW, Leaf Wash, Transplant Drench, Roots!, and 1st Run Amendment will soon be available on Amazon (likely next week); other products to follow.

I have had that leaf tip curling like that before as well. Had it on the Stankberry and on Ms Stank's Hindu Kush. Not sure what it is. Was hoping someone would know what caused it. The plants that we have had that showed this finished fine. Hopefully Doc will know and be able to shed some light on it.

So what would that equate to in a plant not grown in the Kit. I think I got it after using an ACT if I remember correctly.
Yes...a strong ACT will cause that too.Thats why i say to use our Tea very carefully.
With lighter feeding Sativas or plants with week root systems will be more vulnerable to this...cheers.

Yeah had to be something in the ACT. I don't do a whole lot of foliars, maybe one every 2 weeks unless I see signs of any potential pests.

Wish I knew exactly what it was that caused it in the ACT. I don't use a lot of stuff in my ACT....just EWC, a bit of kelp, some malted barley, and occasionally some seabird guano. Interesting how its only effected those two strains of mine even though they all generally get the same ACT.

Ya...know how ya feel bud...it can be a bit maddening sometimes, especially when only one or two plants get affected.
