Yum!
There is a discussion about wet vs dry trimming over at Duggans and Neiko mentioned you do dry, care to comment. Most think it's much more work but the way Neiko does it sounds easier. Also, is the end product better, more flavor, terps, etc...
I pull off fan leaves and other leaves that don't have much resin, or are necrotic.
Then I wash and hang. Final manicure is done dry. I do it this way because I covet the washed sugar leaf....it's the best part of the harvest IMO, and also the least valuable---for now, till people stop acting like lemmings and realize that the resin glands on the leaves are better than those on the flowers. But that process of enlightenment might take a while!
The next step is to sell the buds, sugar and fan leaves intact, right on the stem. Then I can see how it was grown, look for evidence of pests, etc. But the market isn't ready for that.
Thanks Doc! I am going to try this but am going tho let them trim themselves in the jar like Neiko does then try some of the "shake" in the jars, sound ok or would you recommend I try trimming the sugar leaves before jarring? I am not concerned about bag appeal, it's all for us.
Doc, I'm curious - how's the demand for herb evolving in recreational markets? I don't have access to much of a grapevine here, but when it comes up, I keep getting surprised at how little users know about cannabis. They don't seem like they identify or look for "quality".
With all the strains available now on the open market, I'm disappointed that users/customers are stuck on taste and potency. It's like everyone is looking for the fruitiest and strongest bowl of punch, y'know? Yuck!
For instance, in your world, what percentage of people you communicate with are interested in the subtleties, the character, etc?
Well lobster was a poor man's food until people smartened up!I pull off fan leaves and other leaves that don't have much resin, or are necrotic.

you're actually extremely high after 15 hits....but there's no disconnect or worry between your stoned mind and your sober mind. No anxiety. The feeling of well-being transcends the feeling of being impaired. High Brix weed is quite unique in this effect.

The future looks bright
How hard is it to get to Uruguay? I'm there at least twice a year now for weeks at a time and will be there permanently at the end of 2020. That's the chillest place on earth.
But our food is over-the-top good in Uruguay and the weed is getting better all the time. I
My products get held up at Uruguay customs now....which sucks. Working on that.
Ok, so on the 15-20 hit thing. Doc made sure I got there in Jamaica. I had to tap out on night 1. A shared joint of Lemon Paki and was wondering if I was going to be able to hang with the pros. I was so F'n high I just had to take a break. Night 2 and on I made the 20+ hits. It is surprising, all of a sudden you can function perfectly and you are just in tune with everything around you. I'm sure I smashed my receptors and had to take a little break when I got home. We finished the last night with a giant cone of every strain we sampled or close to it plus some pretty good shatter that a guy gave us after watching us for a few days. We were inspecting the local produce with a loupe and he comes over and engaged us saying he'd been watching us for a couple days and wanted to know what we were up to. If I remember right he was in Jamaica trying to start an extraction company or something. Of course he got some samples from us too. Anyway that cone was some serious shit. We smoked it right at the restaurant after dinner....how cool is that?! So I highly recommend taking 20 hits or more in Jamaica!

I was inspired by your passion and description when you described Uruguay and decided I want to take a vacation of the country. How hard is it to get to Uruguay? It's not the same as Jamaica, but in some ways much better.....just that the beaches and water in Jamaica are unique. There's waves in Uruguay.....and no jerk chicken.....and not as many Rasta's.
But our food is over-the-top good in Uruguay and the weed is getting better all the time. I always attract a crowd with the High Brix stuff and the guys using it down there are making quite a name.
