Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

I've had similar thoughts to all of these and think there is merit to it. I have 5 gal, 7 gal, and 10 gal soft pots right now in my flower tray. I also have several clones in the dome that will get the solid pot treatment start to finish to do my own comparison.

Please post your findings/experiences here guys. I'm curious to get to the bottom of it myself.

Gov. I have been trying to see why couldn't get healthy plants start to finish always start strong but never finish as strong and rootball seem inferior to what I see here.

I wrapped two with saranwrap 24 hrs ago took it off today and already seeing some roots towards the outside of the rootball

Also transplanted two into my new 7's plastic and hit them with a rescue when they recover I will be putting them into flower using the same tech as I have been

Just for comparison I was using geo pots the 1's where thick with a Velcro seam top to bottom
The 7's also geo but thin and had hoop handles

Looks like nutes locked out. You have multiple deficiencies.

main deficiency, 5 more gls of HB soil.
6 runs may be the max, especially without the proper amendment

im going to experiment with live worms again during flower in large pots..they may not survive the drying out of the pots (especially when smaller than advised) in veg/growth to promote a good rootball. In bloom, once it's roots are cranking, Doc suggests keeping soil slightly moist, throughout bloom.

:Namaste:

I have tossed a few night crawlers in the pots and they made it through full cycle.
haven't seen any in a while in my soil recycle bin. hmmmmmm :hmmm:

Here is my c-99 5 weeks into flwer. She is showing a bit of yellowing. She is in a first run soil, amended at 2weeks of flower and EWC added. Anything else I can do with her? No one else has yellowed like this. She has had both her CATs and was drenched yesterday with Trans/Tea. :peace:

it would be better to take pics when grow lights are not on to see the color/condition of the leaves :Namaste:

Nope, at 5 weeks that looks normalish. We'd all like to have green fans all through bloom, but it usually doesn't happen. Those are some pretty old fans and they're tired, is all. Pluck 'em off and watch for any progression. If it keeps up, you can try something in a week or two - maybe some WA.

That's a good looking Cindy! :thumb:

Hey gang,
Happy Saturday! I hope you don't mind me sharing some pictures of my lady friends in early flower.

Cheers

Yep. It's eating the fans...normal for many strains.

I'd like to see a little more shine.....give it a Super Drench! Foliar spray about 2 days prior to when you know it will need water and then Super Drench it for that watering.

Hey Gang, those who do like the fabric pots but find it difficult to transplant from them, try not transplanting from them. I use them without issue and get big full rootballs. I veg in 1 gallon plastic and transplant to usually 3 gallon fabric until I'm ready to flip. I then just fill my 10 or 15 gallon fabric pot and set the 3 gallon right in that and cover with soil. The roots grow right through the 3 gallon and continue right on trucking. After harvest when I examine the rootballs, every square inch of the larger pot is full of roots. They clean up easily.

I have often wondered if they would grow through the felt, Thanks Good to know. In the past I just simply
cut the old felt pot down the side front an back to remove it before Up-Potting

All this talk has me thinking I might go with 10 gallon plastic pots instead ifof my traditional smart pots. I need new ones any way as my clotpotsts harbored bugs and there could be left over eggs of those bugs...nope! Itll be a first time finishing in plastic pots for me...we'll see :)

Doc, getting close to harvest time. I take into considering breeders stated flowering time, condition of the pistils and trichs, decrease in water consumption, single bladed leaves, etc.

This time around I looked closer than I usually do at the trichs on the underside (back) of the sugar leaves. Among other things, I've noticed that the trichs are larger and sometimes more plentiful than those on the topside of the leaf, but, more importantly, they seem to be more immature than those on top.

Whereas the top trichs are, for example, 70-75% cloudy, most of the trichs on the undersides are still mostly clear. Just wondered what your thoughts were regarding this. Mike
