Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

I got a question for everyone. Cat Drench, I know some of you guys water lightly between Cat Drenchs. I know we are supposed to be 8-14 days between drenches. At 6 or 7 days since last Cat Drench the plants are going to be ready for some water. Go ahead and Cat Drench them or give them a light watering? If watering should I add 1/4 Trans?

Just my 2c:
-my plants only needed water 8-14 days apart when the roots were compacted (dirt was compacted in 1gallons when incorrectly tranplanted, had a couple frustrations trying to unsuccessfully fix this, ended up with a bunch of super great herbz).
-if I trasnplant nicely rootbound plants they usually need fed every 4 days, maybe 5 the first week.
-later in veg and in flower as they become closer to rootbound again they feed 2-3 days apart
-I'm doing 2 transwaters (2 caps of trans and a cap of tea per bucket) between drenches, except cats are back2back.

Thats just what I'm doing/trying to do, haven't always done correctly.

Canopy jacked, overfed when they didn't need a super drench, but they are feeding on a nice schedule. I got specific things to solve each go round (Doc makes it much easier, but the BKling factor makes it harder :P)

Doc, will a too moist medium in mid to late bloom cause small leaves to be formed; a more leaf/bud ratio? I think it was you that said something like that when I was SWICKing.

Do you find a lot of Sativas enjoying the new WA10x/brix combo, or mostly the salt lovers?

SWICK....you're gonna grow hydro style roots. Great big, thick white things. We want the fine, spidery roots that are hard to see, not the fat white ones.

I don't know how the leaf/calyx ratio would be effected, but the plant will definitely grow differently, especially in a biological grow. I think the SWICK might work super well in a salt based grow but from what I've seen the plants grow better without when it comes to High Brix and other biological methods.

YMMV

LOL...im not SWICKing presently...no..no mess..lots of weed.. :)

I think I'm growing better plants...;)

Yes, lotsa weed! Seems like your always choppin something , and yes, I know your quality is there and getting better all the time , I'm sure of it! Experience ....ther'es really NO substitute, is there. Cheers pal and have an awesome day Ziggs!:Namaste::high-five:

Yep. WayAhead10x.

Mix 1/4 oz of WA10X into 1 oz of Brix in 1 quart of water.

I'm using it twice, pretty much concurrent with the Second Cat Drench and the week after that. Most plants won't need it, just those that tend to get the mid-bloom stall.
Doc, Received my order today including the new Way Ahead product. If I'm understanding your post, you're only using this (with Brix) if the plant is in a "mid-bloom stall. " Yes? Thx.

The Colombians I took already are green. These that are remaining are going purple and dripping in super sweet sap. The tall/sativa pheno's are ripening. Even the lowermost nugs are dense and sugar coated.

Hi ya, Slo Town, that sugar leaf is awesome....I have 2 patients that request sugar leaves only to make their gel caps, tinctures, salves, and medibles....they also request the stems to make tea...100% of my plants are utilized.....

thanks Ziggy! shawnee, the sugarleaf is awesome.. great for joints and edibles! can't say I've tried stem tea..

No doubt, Slo Town; I don't think people realize the healing benefits that are the sugar leaves.....they all want the buds.....NOT....these days there are the smoking connoisseurs (like me) and the medibles folks, which today, is a larger portion of the population....there were 4.1 million medibles sold in Colorado so far this year....it's all good!

here's another close up some of some of docs buds :smokin2:

Unreal as always

I notice that your stems are always very green and have a magnificent sheen to them mine get real, for lack of a better word, barky and more brown, also keep in mind I was under feeding slightly due to my misinterpitation but my plants were pretty healthy just not way up in brix

I assume this is achieved when Brix levels come up or is it a trait of your strains?

:Namaste:
