Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

I'm not sure if all the stuff you want is in the veg leaves....it might be, it might not. Perhaps the terpenes and cannabinoids in the leaves form along with the trichomes, etc?

Interesting point. One I hadn't considered until now. Makes sense, just thinking about it. We need so much more research funding.

That's what I used to think, but this epileptic kid has to eat through a GI tube and any oils really gum up the line. We are working on ways around that, but they've been juicing fan leaves with good results.

I also met a man who has a 9-5 where he can't be stoned at all. He had spinal fusion and was on an assortment of pills to cope with pain and to sleep. Juicing leaves is the only thing that gives him relief without all the nasty side effects.

Again, I used to (and still sort of do) believe that the medicine is in the trichomes, but these arent stories I heard from someone who read something, these are people I know. Changing my mind about a few things for sure.

i know that the kit will make nice veg leaves for a while but I'm wondering how it will be in 3-5 months. Maybe applying the recharge after 3 or 4 months and feeding with 1/4 transplant to keep the soil happy. Idk.

I bonsai mom my plants with minerized osmocote peat mix, they do well so I've suggested that, but they really want to use the kit. We are going to try 15 and 25gal pots and regular pruning. Fingers crossed

Just vegging will give lots of leaves....but again, I don't know when the terpenes IN THE LEAVES form....do they form along with the trichomes? Earlier? Later? Doesn't matter?

Apparently it doesn't seem to matter. I'm pretty sure that the legal CBD products available are made from hemp stems, so I'd venture that the leaves have CBD as well. I'm going to look more into it, but one thing is for sure, leaves are effective therapy for certain people and ailments.

Isn't there that guy xbones or something raging a few P1200s to juice? I'm sure someone here is following along and can point us in his direction, I'm sure there is a wealth of knowledge on juicing waiting to be uncovered.

I wish I could help you more, bro. Good luck on a very worthy endeavor.

Doc, I'm helping set up a small medical garden with your kit. The child with epilepsy that needs the meds mostly juices fan leaves. They got a lot through me and I'm wondering how best to grow lots of leaves. Seems like a lot of what we do is geared towards flowering plants, I'd really like to know how to grow luscious veg plants with tons of healthy leaf.

I've read that if your goal is a super bushy plant with a ton of branches take a clone from a plant in flower aka "Monster cropping". :) type that into the googly and you'll see some amazing dense bushes that result. It's like it tops itself a dozen times as it revegges.

Also, search the yootoob for "juicing raw cannabis leaf" and you'll see there are many people who swear by it. It's definitely one of the things I want to try. LEAF [Health Benefits of Juicing Raw Cannabis] is an especially good video. Hope that helps! :) (re-enters lurk mode)

Hey Pak. Just wanted to let you all know that legal cbd products are using processed from sugar leaves then bud in that order. I can guarantee that. The stock and other material is very residual

As we know cbd is genetic based not area based so a high cbd strain best results from it would be highest concentrated area late bloom.

As for terpene profile that doesn't truly start to develop till late veg or flower even so a early bloom major defoilation and then revert back to veg may be your best results. But who knows I only have a grow or two under me and I read alot.

I have a question and I figured this may be a good place for it if you don't mind Doc ;)
I put this question to experienced growers that have experimented with crossing strains, pollinating, etc.
Q: Can I take a genetically prone hermie strain and pollinate it with a male from a strong strain and get a stronger, less prone to hermie result? Of course keeping all other variables the same as much as one can control. Some pointers as to how to proceed or a good information source for this kind of thing would be appreciated as well

Thanks for your responses :)

Id say yes but it could also back fire with all these hybrid Strains you are very likely to get an undesirable trait ie:another hermie. It's completely possible but would take some time.

I was hoping you would say that its possible Dutty. I'm starting from scratch as I know nothing about this strain I grow but that I have grown it now about 6 times each time trying different things to keep it from hermie and nothing works. This is a hermie that shows full female flowers and then grows male flowers just under the same point where the female bud begins. It usually starts to show hermie at about 2.5 to 3 weeks into flower and I do my best to eliminate all the balls I can find for about another two weeks. Even then I get the bananas growing inside the bud at that point and can no longer tweeze them without damaging the female buds and taking a chance of blowing a nut all over the girly parts. At week 5 I can only hope the females are so sticky and cover the male flowers so they don't spread throughout the rest of the female parts. I still get a great harvest but of course some seeds are present.
My baby says its the best stuff shes ever smoked or I would have done away with it two years ago and she doesn't mind the seeds. She has smoked since 13 yrs and a real pot snob so I value the opinion. Better than Stinky D and even Hashplant(that puts me out as in cold sweat passed out). Anyway thanks for the feedback. :)

Any thoughts doc?

Hey I have done this a few times and got really bushy plants I have a pic of one that I have now but it's on my phone not sure how to get it up on here that way but I can email it to somebody if they want to post it up. I re vegged a plant that I harvested it takes some time take a few clones from it and you have very dense bushy plants. I gues it's kinda like monster cropping

Hydrocarbon and terpene production along with trichomes start as early as the first set of leaves after the Cot's.

did some work over at docs today and this is what i saw
