Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

DSC_2165.JPG

I use a 10 gl tub with some air stones for veg. I also use smart pots they soak a bit faster/better.

Feels good to finally be flowering some high brix plants after months and months of waiting. I feel like part of the club now.
Just curious about one thing...

I top dressed 2 tbls Epsom salt on all my plants, and they love it! My question is, how often should I repeat that procedure? Also, how are you all using the salty drench if it blooms in the bottle? Wouldn't it bloom during shipping?

You probably won't have to repeat the top dress if you're not putting massive amounts of water down the top. If you're top watering, re-dress in about a week.

The salty drench is going out un-assembled. People have to mix it with Transplant (the part that blooms) and epsom.

Ok cool. I'll be doing 5 or 6 more in the next few days.
Also gonna try and maybe add one or two more girls so I'll have 10 high brix running along my 65 house and garden ones.

Doc, several salty questions, please
Is it now for sale to all? :)
What happens to nonsalt loving plants when used on them?
Is it used same number of times as the Cat?
TIA

I'm still not comfortable including it in the kit, but I suppose it's available to all my friends, and everyone here is my friend.....but it's a BETA product. I don't have a label for it yet, because I'm still not sure what's going to be in it.

How to use it? We're learning.....

It lowers brix in most strains, except the OG types, which seem to thrive on it. The good news is that unlike when I was adding stuff to the soil, this product can be flushed right out with a good watering or two.

Doc, help me figure out my experience with Destroyer.

The clone is almost ready - grown in new fresh soil - and it has very little color and no blueberry reek. It certainly smells like blueberry, but not that reek the mother had. Brix numbers are very similar between the two. The mother was in unbalanced soil, I assume salty, and explains the difference nicely.

But ... Meao Thai x Columbian/Mexican? ... could that be considered OG/Chemdawgish? It obviously thrived on that soil.

:hmmmm:

Whats in it in high concentrations that lowers the Brix, Na and K?

I've decided these next 5 I'm gonna dunk tonight maybe tomorrow night. I'm gonna not let so much soil and perlite float out. Probably try and keep it flush with water level.

During the second half of bloom, I used it instead of energy, a total of 2 times, except for final drench, that was energy. I'll try finishing on the salt next round.

I was afraid of that as I read and caught up. The term "dunking" may have given you the inclination to actually dunk it. As has already been clarified, some of us use cloth pots that simply allow soak through, but until you have some root development let them wick up as much as they can and then let them dry out. They'll be like sponge-blocks in a week.

Ok thanks. New questions.

So I have a white widow strain that's tested high cbd. I just transplanted from a 1 gallon in ocean forest to the kit soil. Added roots and scoured ball. My question is I did this to the ed Rosenthal super bud as well. How much transplant for 2 seven gallon pots one being a smart pot. I was think 2 gallons each maybe 3. What ml per gallon ratio would you all recommend

I'd take a 5 gallon bucket and put 1.5 oz Transplant and 3 mil Tea in 5 gallons of water give em each what they want for a good after transplant watering and then dilute the rest and use it in the veg room. That's how I'm dealing with the hungry ones.
