Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

Thanks for the quick response on the salty drench

Ok ill post so up to date pics soon. So far I've just watered that initial time with transplant. It's been almost a week and there ready for water soon. Just water correct?
When will be the next product growth, cat, brix etc. Last time you said once there's more leaves.
So after this watering then growth Energy?
The reason I ask is my Strains I'm intended on using the salt drench
Pestelence s1
Jedi kush
Ultra grapefruit
Power flower or Blackwater not sure bonza messed my pack up
Jillybean
Chronic thunder
9# hammer
Bubble Yum
Pure kush.

I don't think I'd use the salty on all of those strains. Pretty sure I'd do jillybean, the pure Kush and a few others by the book. Heavy feeders are not necessarily salt lovers.

Use the salty in the second half of bloom instead of energy. If your plant is a real salt lover, I there should be some mild leaf taco by week 4, top dress with a tablespoon of epsom. Then after the cat drenches, (and subsequent watering) Feed salty at same strength as energy, but also add equal amount of transplant and one tablespoon of epsoms.

My LA is Burning got the salty twice after the cats, and I finished her on energy. Lmk if any questions.

Had this thought on my mind re: heavy feeders vs salt lovers. I had a couple Sativa Dom hybrids that were definitely not salt lovers. But after the cat drenches, when I switched back to energy, some issues appeared. Yellowing or slightly rusting fans, crispy leaf tips. I now believe these to by symptoms of hunger! I've upped my energy dosage for plants that stretched a bunch and are really packin on the buds. That's when they need it! Also experimenting with top dressing rescue soil and some EWC as alternative treatment. Probably a combo of the two is ideal.

Looks like the roots got cold and the room was very dry. The fact that the condition is effecting all the plants is pretty indicative of that. If you can bump up the temps and rH it will help quite a bit.

Try a double strength Transplant/Tea drench the next time they need water. That should help get the roots happy again.
Thanks for reply, I raised them off the floor, put a catalytic heater nearby and hung moist towels in the tent. See what it registers in a couple of hours...

Thanks always for your observations Doc.

Oh, on another note, can one of you experts explain the semantics between watering and drenching? It's one thing I don't feel I really understand entirely.

Thanks.

So that's the bubble Yum. Usually I'd just wait till bone dry water and watch her rebound. But since you guys have this DeStress spray is this a situation where you guys would use?

I use those terms to differentiate between deep soaks and light watering, as well as water vs drench (energy, transplant, etc). Deep soak when feeding, keep the soil moist when watering!

Looks good. Wait till dry to water to build those roots. First round soil stress 1-2x per week. Once if everything looks great, twice if everything looks ok. I'd hit that with some destress for sure.

I was waiting for someone to give me a heads up. I intend to do Pestelence s1, 9# hammer and pure kush I thought.

Is that pure kush from gage green? If that's the case, the dad is Joseph OG and might like the salty. Because we don't use the salty till second half of bloom there is a pretty easy way to tell if you need it. Smell the plant. My LA is burning smelled sweet and had almost no "dank" or OG terps until I hit it with the salty. That really brought the gas, and completely changed the smell. If your pure kush smells kushy after the cats, then consider skipping it. If it's just kinda sweet smelling, hit it for sure. That's my current theory.

They look pretty good.....I also let them get bone dry in veg, then soak them, repeat.

You could use a DeStressing, but they look pretty good! Time for Brix.

Next time you feed, give them a strong Growth Energy drench.

I really, really love what I'm hearing here, Tav!

If I could just get the damn drench to stop blooming in the bottle! I hate having a 3 part "franken-drench."

I do the opposite...I water heavy and drench light.

This is my preference too. Well, mine water themselves, but I drench light, counting on the micro herd to do the shuttling around of nutrients, as is their nature. When I watered it was the bonsai way: slowly until it began to run through, give it 10 minutes and repeat. The plants loved it.
