You'd be much better of with the kit than with what you're doing there.....like I said, you can use them. No problema. I'm saying you might get better results with OC+ under those kind of conditions. Strong, bright indoor light is like filtered forest light at best. Our plants like a bit of light as long as it's not too hot or dry.
3 gallons would probably be fine in that environment. Flower ASAP, try to get as much light on them as possible.
Thanks Doc I'm going to keep them really short with lst, topping, etc. Im trying to keep at 6-8 inches when I flower. After it gets rootbound and gives me enough growth, still keeping it 6-8 inches the entire time in a 1/2 to 1 gal, I will transplant to 3-4 gal and flower. I kno OC+ is good but want the taste everyone is describing from high brix. I know I wont achieve the fullest but I want to get close and if I get a good product with cfls, I kno it will be supreme with better lighting. Thanks again and if you have anymore tips, please feel free to give them. My environment will be climate controlled though. oh n it will be 3-4 gal fabric air prunning pots.
Why don"t the people that make this stuff have a web page ?
You know direct contact info ?
It feels like a major run around, like finding great budd in a unknown town
When I go to the contact site, where do I go to send you email ?
The only place to type is the search bar
Maybe I am over paranoid, but when staying under the radar is most important the fewer sites visited about our hobby is safer.
Well, if your situation calls for it, I suppose you should just do it. Let me know if you want a kit.
And another quick question Doc, what are your thoughts on amaze, pgr, n bloomit and how to use them now that you more experienced? I know you might have posted these things before but I kind of live in a few of your journals and get the info mixed up. I really need your updated views.
Amaze needs to be mixed with fish, PGR and dextrose for best results. That's essentially what's in "brix." So I'm not using Amaze by itself except I'm trying it the last week in bloom this time.
Bloomit is still in the arsenal, but I don't know how to use it just yet. It's damn powerful. Be very careful with it.
I know you're prolly getting really tired of me Doc, sorry! But is Bloomit stand alone or do you mix with pgr? And should Amaze be mixed with all 3(fish, dextrose, and pgr) together or either of them 1 at a time and at what rates? Dont want to over do it.
And this may be a dumb question but have you thought of maybe being able to leach nutrients out of a soil or soilless mix(potassium to be exact) or will this be impossible. Maybe running boiling hot water through(dont know the effects it may have on da mix itself) or some other way? Or am I thinking wrong?
Bloomit is a stand alone product used to support seed production.
AS far as Amaze goes, it's always paired with PGR and Dextrose.....often paired with a very acidic fish hydrolysate.
I've said this many times:
Don't invent your own foliar spray! Sprays are designed to compliment the soil. Guys with pHd's and labcoats formulate all this stuff.
Please clarify what OC+ is? Or PGR?
Sorry if I confused you but no I'm not talking bout inventing my own foliar sprays lol. I was talking about leaching the potassium from high potassium soils to make them good for high brix but it may also leach everything creating a clean sterile soil that we can make alive again with the right amendment, I dont know. I was under the influence when I thought about that one.
And on the foliar sprays, you never told me at what rates that work for you so I could use a lil less.
You can leach potassium out of the soil by not using any fertilizer of any kind with potassium and growing a cover crop or two. Pull the crop, don't compost it.
Which sprays are you using? They don't do much of anything unless you're in the right soil.
The guys using the kit, who have things dialed in will agree with me that the sprays are very effective and very fast....not like other sprays!
I will be using amaze, pgr, and bloomit in a soil very near your best practice soil with the promix, worm castings, 6-5-3, azomite, rocknchicken or a seed meal. I know I wont have true high brix but some similar to what you have grown before your lab formulated amendment. How would you recommend I use the foliar sprays now that you are more familiar with them. and at what rates. I know you said you are still unsure about bloomit but I trust your practices because you're more experienced then that of me with this.
