It's not confusing if you decide to follow the directions only and ignore for the time being people who have been using the kit for years.

Learn what each product does for a couple cycles and then you can use the products in your own way....once you learn what they do.

If can mix a bag of rocks into a bag of soil and water it, you're able to cook your soil.

If you can grasp the concept of using one product today......and a different one next time you water, You've fully comprehended the idea of alternating drenches in feeding.

Lastly, if you can mix up a quart of water with an ounce of liquid and spray the plants once every week to ten days you've mastered foliar feeding.

But if you treat it like a chemical reaction that needs to be perfectly in balance to the mililitre.....well, you'll have trouble. It's much, much easier than that.

If you're looking for detailed and complex this might not be for you. Not only do most people who start down this road always say how much LESS time they spend in the garden and how much they don't miss their pH pens. They also comment that it frees up their time to perfect the environment, which is the most important thing any indoor grower can do.

This isn't difficult.....only if you make it so.

No worries 88! It's NOT confusing, please don't think so OK. The 'gang' and i are here for ALL your 'kit' questions. It's too easy ,..that's prolly why it seems complicated. There is NO set way to use it. All u have to do is read the directions and take away the important things right now. They are to get your enviro clicking and alternate Doc's Drenches thru grow and bloom foiler feeding with Brix in between drinks/Drenches every 7 to 10 days. that's it. It's NOT rocket science , however there was ample science involved in it's creation. Almost all the guess work has been removed by Doc and the 'lab'. Please be patient ...and IF u have any questions u just can't get your head around u may PM me any time for help OK. It's really 'stupid' easy , trust me. Cheers 88. :circle-of-love:

Yup doc kit seems easy peasy compared to other grows ive completed. I can only say so much since im in my first run. First thing i noticed is patience. Its just hard to not do anything coming from using bottle nutes in coco medium and ive learned to relax a bit. Soil system are more forgiving and it seems many first time run grows are successful with some mistakes to be made somewhere. My first mistakes was underfeeding in attempt to make the drench bottles last longer. Experienced kit growers helped me out to get that sorted out and they will help you out. :)

Easy steps
Alternate drenches using Duggans method
Foliar spray

Annnnnnd That's it. !

No, i'm not 100% sure of that. It's just wat ive been doing and when i think about wat the foliar is actually doing...it's like i wanna give the plants a treat...between drinks , if u will. Why waste it on the day 'of' or right after?...when u can take more/further advantage by giving the sprays /mists between their Drenches/drinks while the soil isn't too dry and things will still work properly down there. Please note , as well. My DeStress is several yrs. old...i just don't need it very often. Only use it when they are in bootcamp/training...otherwise they just don't require it, everything usually just clicks along happily.
We all know the parameters....just meet them all...done...
Sometimes we come across a salt loving strain , like some OG's and ChemDawg stuff, or strains bred and created in a hydro /salt enviro , that they require more effort and awareness by us.
My next crop coming up has two Lemon OG Hazes , and they will be in 5th run soil, so hopefully i can pass on some things learned throughout that grow. Ive been experimenting a lil these past several grows with some things ...just to get a look at how /why things work...and don't work. Cheers.....time for a cold drink.....hmmm.:cheesygrinsmiley:

That makes me think of another way to explain it.

Average plant, average environment, average grower skills = use "best practices". Use the tools according to the instructions.

Of course, not everything is average, darn it. :cheesygrinsmiley: So we fiddle and change things around a bit, to see if we can deal with the non-average stuff.

:high-five:

Or sometimes, like me, you just see how lazy you can be and still have the critters do their excellence thing. My plants have been magnificently fugly lately, but the buds are amazing - fat, knarly, stinky things, full of foxtails ...

It's very very hard to screw up a DBHBB grow. :thumb:
