Hi Doc, I’m posting here bc I’m not sure if you’re checking email during the holiday break or not - I know there’s a lot on with moving the garden!
I think my package maybe stuck in customs (FYI for folks I’m having a custom amendment sent - along with some replenishing kit supplies, doc posted it on Dec 7).
The main, immediate challenge this is presenting is that the 2 plants that are destined for that raised bed are in desperate need of transplanting. One in particular that was super vigorous until a few days ago has started to fade very quickly (in leaf and stem). Plus, the solstice has now passed and they will make the transition to flower sometime in the next few weeks. They need the bigger bed.
I want to know if it would be a terrible idea to go ahead and transplant them into the raised bed as is, and broadcast when/if the amendment arrives.
It’s a long term process building this soil, so we know it’s not going to be perfection straight up this season. So I realise it’s not an ideal thing to do and I’m ok with that - so long as it won’t do anything totally disastrous.
So - will the plants survive if they’re already in the raised bed when the broadcast gets applied? (Assuming it gets here!)
Thanks Doc!
