Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

Good jesus those r some frosty ass buds congrats bro. What is the strain of those beauties if u dnt mind me askn.

Its funny man now tht i started up hibrix growing everytime i check in on 420 here i have notifications anywhere from 30 to 59 was the highest its gotten at once lol.

Thanks, this strain is some testers I'm running for a breeder. Platinum Buffalo/sleeping Iraqi by strayfox. He used inhouse genetics platinum buffalo. I'm in love with kit, every harvest looks like these. Just super easy with the 2 drenches, it took me couple runs to get comfortable.

Nice well gud luck bro they look amazing congrats.

Hey guys 2day is the day i do a brix foiler spray shud i do those at lights off or on i jus figured off so they droplets didnt burn the plant. But if sum1 cud confirm when is the best time to feed the brix foilers?

Hi folks, I have a Blue Dream coming towards the finish. It’s dealing with too much N I’m pretty sure from having too much worm castings in my mix so there is a little claw. Bit that’s not the main I’m posting, just context.

It had plain water 2 days ago and a TP 3-4 days before that (at the mild end of the spectrum). In the last 5 or so days the very tips of the sugar leaves are showing some burn/bleach. I’m wondering what that is :hmmmm:

My plan is to harvest soon, about a week prob’ly (it’s pushing nanners, a lot) and to make the next drench a very mild one (GE) and then maybe one more plain water before harvest.

Anyone got a take on what that tip burn on the sugar leaves is about? Could that be connected to too much castings in the mix as well? And if so, should I just skip the final Growth drench?

Oh... pics

Hey there BJ, usually about an hour after lights on is the best time to spray. This is the time when the most stoma will be open and ready to receive the foliar. Just make sure to ONLY spray the under side of the leaves with as fine a mist as you can. Don't soak them ok, that will cause Brix to puddle and can burn. I would mix on the light side, say .5 - .75ml per oz of RO or distilled water. This is until you get more used to spraying... then you should be able to mix at the recommended 1ml per oz.

Shit i jus hit them now with what the bottle said and 1oz of foiler spray for a quart of ro water then i soaked them figuring they needed to get everything top an bottom so shud i maybe shale the plants alil n get the droplets of or maybe use plain ro an slightly mist them dwn to wash it off alil? Also did i do to strong of a mix?

Yes, I would go in and shake them gently to get the excess off of the leaves. No worries, most spray at full strength, diluted was mostly just a suggestion so you wouldn't burn on accident. They will be ok, and even if they come out with a few spots that's ok too. It could just be a learning experience, but lets hope for no burn!

If you have the option to turn the lights down some (or move up) that may help until the the liquid has evaporated

With this sprayer i got it such a fine mist it didnt stay on for very long after i shook the branches n got the big droplets off. An so far no burn hopefully dnt wake up 2morow n notice it lol. But yea so far the kit girls are booming along im pretty impressed. Man i cant wait to hit flower lol.

Hey guys. Sorry to bombard with so many pics but I have 4 plants at different stages going at the same time. 2 photos and 2 autos. Just wanting some general input. Here is my G13 haze. She is still droopy. She was up potted a week ago. I expected a turn around by now. She got a tp drench on transplant day followed by destress. Just a bit of water around the edge last night. She’s had a lot of yellowing and clawing since the first drench a few weeks after initial water at planting.... I was looking to do a growth drench tomorrow night but wanted to ask first if there was something else I should do. Here she is

My next victim is a Chem 91’. She was also set to receive a growth drench tomorrow along with some lst. I think she’s relatively healthy but definitely has some droop going on as well.

Next contestant is DDA. She got a bit of water yesterday but hasn’t received a growth drench yet either so was looking to give her one tomorrow and start with the flower calendar on her. I’ve tried not to let her get quite as dry after hearing some testimonials about stressing her. She was planted in the #1 and will remain there. Clawing and twisted new growth noted. Here she is..

And lastly, a GSC auto. I don’t even know..... She’s looked yellow like this since the beginning. Very slow growth. She probably around 2 weeks old without looking up exactly. She came up with a small white dot that was very hard on her cotyledon. Not sure if that’s relevant or not but I had never seen that before. Here she is..

just some general info...lights are 24” from top of G13 in 10 gal pot so all others are well farther than that. Temps at running between 68-79. RH will only get as high as 45 with lights off and 40 with them on. Does dip to 35ish at times. That’s running a cool mist humidifier that gets sucked into the tent through one of the lower panels. Any advice is welcomed and appreciated. I’ve seen posts about measuring drenches in ml per gal of soil. I’ve been doing mine per gallon of water, using the high end of the recommended dose from the pdf. Thanks in advance and thanks to Ween for Being quick to help in my journal when I’ve had Brix questions there.

I do not often advocate for culling something bud but I think the GSC auto will be a waste of time. Two weeks in and looking like that for an auto seems to me like it will not put out. The G13 Haze is concerning. I would have expected her to bounce back after she got into more soil. What to do I cannot say. Your Chem plant looks like she has some nice dark green, shiny leaves. I think after watering she will perk back up.

Hey Magoo! I wish I could help, someone with more experience is sure to chime in. What I will say is that I think she needs more time to dry out, in a 10 it should be more like 2-3 weeks, maybe I'm wrong due to the fabric pot!?!? Also, I'd clip those yellow leaves. Other than that and the droopiness, I see a lot of nice green growth.

So now all 4 of my girls are full on blooming in 16/8! 2 from clone and 2 from seed? They all look healthy with no (or very few) 3 bladed leaves. Almost all 5 and a few 7. Took a few pics but battery was low so no flash and I didn't want to post the blurple pics.

Any thoughts as to why my plants are blooming on a veg schedule? These are not the first to,do,this on me.

I can flip but was hoping to put it off for another 2 weeks because I will have company here around Christmas and I don't want the BCPs stinking up the places, in a good way for me but not so much for my guests, ha! I,can rely on my carbon filter and maybe scented candles or something.

Hey Magoo - I don’t have much to offer but I tend to agree with ween that things look too wet, on a few. If you drenched the one in the 10gal at transplant it can take quite a while to dry out after that. :)

Sorry I haven’t been to visit your Brix grow much lately, I’ve been a bit stretched o_O

Im sure more experienced folks will be along here soon enough to add their insights.

FWIW, I try to post my Brix related questions here as well as my thread... access to a larger Brix contingent so responses can be swifter :thumb:

:Namaste:

The bottle says to spray a fine mist and the directions say on the underside of the leaves, right?

BRIX — DOC BUD's HIGH BRIX BLEND
It says we recommend mixing 1oz brix foiler spray per quart of water and misting plants lightly every 7 - 10 days. That is what is says on the back of the bottle. So i fogured it ment the whole plant not jus the bottoms. But it ended up ok for most of them. They did get lil shiney blotchy spots on a few leaves but for the most part i think they look healthier all except 1 who has a leave shriveling up but im not fully sure it was the brix spray. Here she is what do u think i was think a pest of sum sort. Its the bottom right leaf u will see it lol.

But my others seem 2 be doing great. Even my new seedling is lovin the new soil my amnesia lemon.

Plus i got another baby my gorilla glue#4 auto in 10 gal cloth pot full of hibrix soil. So im interested in seeing how good i can get an auto to preform with the kit.

I guess i shud point out wen i said i soaked them. I meant i got the whole plant top an bottom. But my mister sprayer bottle does such a fine mist it wasnt a ton. Like they werent drooping to the soil line or nuthn like that. But everything was misted down.

Bump I think @Doc Bud missed this.
I've never seen young ones look like that. If it happened to me I'd question the cook. I assume that's 1st run soil? Did you mix the soil all at once? Did you store the soil all together like in a big trash can or separate into totes or something? What temps did you cook the soil at and for how long?
