Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

Mr krip, I have been growing hydroponically in pure coco for like 2-3 years and just recently started growing with super soil, and like you I have nothing to do. But unlike you, I'm not complaining !! And no expensive nutrients to go waste my $$ on. And i do have enough nutrients, that i'm forced to do one more coco grow. I do miss the rapid growth, growing in coco, but I'm seeing a better quality product with the organic route. Instead of vegging 6 weeks in coco, I now veg like 8-9 weeks in soil. But if the bottom line is better quality, then I'm in.

My sarcasm my not have been clear, but it was not really a complaint! ;)

I probably have over $500 of hydro nutrients (mostly AN PH Perfect line with the full suite of additives!) just going bad because I switched to the kit for the higher quality, so, I'm with you 420% on that!

Awesome man thanx appreciate the quick help lol. Im bout to start my hi brix journal 2nite n wanted to get my mixxing the soil part in there but wen i started i noticed it said it expanded so tht kinda threw me off lol but thanx man i cant wait to get started. Actually i got another question if i planned to go perpetual which i do how many plants can i do with this kit?

You should get 45-50 gallons after you're done mixing. Doc recommends 7 gallon pots or larger. :Namaste:

Ok thanx i got some 10 gal cloth pots for jus this situation lol. So what about when i start out shud i just start seeds and clone in the 10 gal cloth pots or should i start out in small 1/2 gal pots an upsize as they get older like my normal grows?

You can get 4 10 gallon soft pots out of a kit. You want to start them in 1 gallon pots and do the wet/dry cycles to build the roots. When they are ready to transplant, stick them in the 10 gallon pots and flip them that day. Doc has plenty of videos on watering in veg, they are easiest to find on Instagram. There is also a complete journal you should read 1st too, someone else will help with that link but it's Darkscotia apprentices Doc Bud or something close to that.

That Darkscotia link is your best next move. Read through it...sift through the banter, but pay attention when Doc makes a post, copy those, or write them down, you will come back to it time and time again. Follow everything exactly till you get a few grows under your belt with high brix soil.

any pics?...it is still aphid season...in any event I would suggest an iso alcohol spray or neem treatment...depending on size you could do a Stank dunk ...care has to be taken when using neem with lights on...shit will burn leaves...cheerz...h00k...:rollit::passitleft:...

Neiko what % mix are you using for coco with the Kit? Was it any better or worse than without if you have tried both?

I used to grow with Promix HPCC and really liked it. Yeild wise it was nice being able to get 3-6+ Oz per autoflower in a 3Gal Fabric Pot. Ive Got my kit cooking for the last few days. Wonder what differences I would have to do if any when using 20% coco vs the standard HP.

Amen , Doc , Amen.

Whoa sorry to hear about the aphids! Hook that looks awful!

I mix 1/3 pre washed canna coco. I take out 1/3 of the promix. Everything else is the same. To make it easy I mix 3 kits at a time. I buy 2 bales of promix and mix it with 3 bags of coco. I have been doing this exclusively for 2 years.
