Doc Bud's High Brix - LED Indulgence

Hey Doc,

Since this is your most current L.E.D. thread, and we are now officially in communication about settin' me up with a H.B. Kit, I have to ask... Have you given Mars-Hydro L.E.D.'s a test? I am specifically the Mars II's, I just got my Mars II 700w in the mail and its been in the tent for about 3 days now.

Since you say anyone can grow this quality medicine with an L.E.D. and the H.B. Kit, I am hoping mine can stand up to the test.

There are many journals with great success with that light in fact there are a few journals with docs kit and the mars light. I think Curso used a mars for a while and Gov too, Just read through the high brix journals and you will find not just your answers but a wealth of knowledge about growing with docs kit and tips and tricks from experienced growers. This is coming from someone who subscribes to all the high brix journals and has read hundreds upon hundreds of pages of grow journals. These guys are great and lay it all out for those who want to learn. If you haven't already please read through Curso, Docs, Gov's, Graytails, Smokey's journals and you will find a great community of friendly helpful people and a whole library of grow instructions. (sorry if i missed anyones great journals)

Hey Doc, everything looks beyond great just as expected. i can only imagine the quality of dry sift these babies would produce if you run them through a 140 micron screen .. aahh 99% hash :dreamy:

i've been lurking your threads for a while now and you got me intrested in HB right from the start.

one question if you don't mind, how far into veg you need to be so you have enough leaves to measure your brix levels consistently, and what is "consistently" anyway, do you have a specific timeline when to measure your brix levels like every week or something?

btw this kit of yours is getting rly popular, already youtube videos exist with people using it. Maybe take it to the next level and sell it commercially on a website of yours or something.

RE taking readings, I take them whenever I remove leaves from the plant, other than plucking unhealthy leaves, etc. You always want to take healthy, vibrant leaves, bud, petiole for a reading.

So, in veg i get them when I top and when I prune. In bloom I usually prune twice as well, at about 3 weeks in, and again at 6 or 7 weeks.

Any chance you could grab a measuring tape and tell me what the actual width and length of your p1200 panels are? I'm trying to put together some data on different panels, as the p450's I have are actually bigger than the website specs say they should be.

I want to buy the p1200's but need an accurate measurement...I contacted PlatinumLED for this information but they told me they cannot provide more accurate dimensions than the approximations on their site.
