Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

It's great to see you Dredd. :passitleft:

I often wonder how many people are out there reading but not posting.

Hey all, late to the posting party, but have been following this thread from the beginning. Started off using peat moss as my starting point, and bought all the amendments singly at first, which wasnt cheap. Great results my last couple times with brix readings up to 14 in flower so far. Got a kit cooked now, and have some cookies and chem and cookies kush started. Attached a pic of the current cindy99's im running . Now that i have a kit going would be stoked to break into the 15 range.
Everything has changed in my growing style since i started reading this journal. I recommend it to others all the time. Calcium and learning to control electrical balance in the soil has made the bigest difference in all my gardens. Evn my basil shines and reaches for the sky, which it never did before. Thanks, Doc. I'd recommend you to any grower, and hope biological gardenimg becomes more prominent over the pseudo organic nuts out there who make rules about what is and isnt organically allowed.

o glad to say goodbye to large percentages of compost, and the mediocre results it gave. Anyhow, howdy. I'll be `round.

Welcome!

The kit gets us to the "best we know" at the present time. If you want microbial action in the soil and nutrient density, this soil delivers it.

I can't wait to see how it goes!

Having a little issue with some "yellowing" on some of my plants and could use some help identifying the problem.

This is occurring across different strains. Plants are 6-7 weeks from seed. Second run soil. One gallon pots. Some are just beginning to show pre-flowers. I'm feeding per Doc's instructions, alternating "double" drenches per the instructions.

At first, I notice the yellowing on "middle" leaves, but now it's showing with new leaves. Plants are healthy and growing rapidly. Environment is stable. They're getting Brix every 7-10 days and have only had Stress when I topped/pruned them. They are starting to get root bound - I'm dunking then every other day and some could almost use it daily. Probably time to up can. Any advice would be appreciated.

I'd give some de-stress foliars. I believe that should solve any deficiency issues.

Cheers guys :)

I have been planning to transplant once it needs water everyday / which I thought would be around now. At the moment it’s still taking 6-7 days to dry out. :hmmmm:
If you did happen to drown your roots before the rescue that may explain why it is drinking slowl. It is up to you if you are comfortable moving it up now or if you want to wait a bit. I will say though that any discolored spots will probably go away once she is in more soil.

Thanks Yeti - ok that might be it... the drowning it had. I do have it in my sights and in the plan to be transplanting this week sometime so maybe it’s more ready than it’s drinking speed suggests :thumb:
You're welcome. I just posted that response in your journal as well. Seems like we are chasing one another today lol.

I’ll be popping my first seeds in docs kit this week. Super excited!! Soil is ready on the 18th after 1 month cooking. Will be growing Barney’s G13 Haze and HSO 707 Headband. So I’ll be coming with the questions! :yahoo:

What strains is this happening to? Looks like time for a rescue drench, when they dry out next. Plants are not hooking up with the soil
