Well, just noticed this today but it seems 24 volts will corrode the electrodes. Lol.

I dug as deep as I dare and couldn’t feel it anywhere. It was at least 10” long. Black wire is fine.
I restripped it and putt it back in and will pay more attention this time around.

Well, 7 days later and the copper wire is eroded again. Decided to stop with the experiment as I can’t see all that copper being good for the plant.

Glad I could contribute something to this thread.

Do you think there is a worry of too much copper for my plant? Seeing some weird things with a variety of leaves. Friday I fed with standard dose of GH of Micro 5ml, Gro 5ml, Bloom 2.5ml / gallon and fed 3 gal at 6.3 ph. Also giving calmag at recommend doses of 1ml/l

it looks like the plant is just casting off growth that is under the canopy and not contributing to much because it isnt getting light... not sure I am seeing a deficiency. Copper is one of those things needed in small amounts by our plants and I seriously doubt it is going into the soil in amounts to hurt anything.
