DK'S New Grow 2020

Could you have them shipped to someone in the states? Then they can see what it would cost to have them shipped to you. Might be worth it for ya.

At 175 watts I would bring it down for sure.
I would of paid the shipping but unfortunately only 2 sponsors got in touch with me dope seeds and seedsman... They sure both made my year though!

Still love my title too and I wasn't expecting to win at all so it's not a loss for me just an unfortunate circumstance

If you're willing to pay shipping, contact them right away and get them a US address. Then look into what it will cost to ship them down to you. No reason the sponsors should get to keep the lights they committed to donate!
Any suggestions on the height... Given I am trying to cover 1.2 m x 1.2 m
What are the dimensions of the light? And what is the actual footprint of the grow rather than the tent?

I'd seriously hate to impose on them...

Like the are covered by the plants together?

21 x 31 x 6 cm that's assembled dimensions according to the site

Imposition on whom? The sponsors or the person you have it shipped to? The sponsors sign up for it, and the person you have it shipped to would just have to take it to the shipping place and relabel it to. Assuming you pay them for the cost :).

So you have a rectangular light in a square tent yes? 21 x 31cm is only 8x13". That's a pretty small light. About the size of my old Mars Hydro 300.

Well I don't have anyone that I know of that would do that for me. And will they allow that?

Like I will definitely pay up the shipping as I mean how else  I would hate to give it up if there is a chance.

So what do you suggest Mr shed? The light lower by how much? And will it work for the rest of the grow?

My Mars Hydro 300 pulls about 130 watts and I think they recommend around 18"/45cm, so I would start to lower your about 8cm/day and watch the leaves for any sign of stress (burning or curled edges, pointing away from the light). It would also be helpful to get all your plants as close to the center of the light as possible, because I'm sure the light falls off quickly at the edges.

In terms of the prizes, check the prices online for shipping something of that weight and size to SA, and whether it makes a difference if it comes from the east coast vs the west in terms of cost before you commit, but I'm sure someone here would do that for you if it would work.

Well I have taken your advice and sent a message. If they can post it to me I'll be over the damn moon

I didn't know about such... Shit that's something to think of hey... I mean who do I ask shed. Like to me it's imposing... And I don't want to feel like I'm just using someone now haha.

I would definitely start with an online search of the shipping size/weight of the lights you won, then find what it would cost to ship to you. It might be more than you want to spend vs the cost of a light you could buy locally.
Considering the light costs like $1700 I think the shipping won't outweigh it but the shipping I saw on the package from Rob was $67 and that was just a few stickers lighters and a jar.

Let me check

That's what comes up

You're right! I think that's expensive for a 650w wall draw LED light, but the important thing isn't what they charge for it, it's what is it worth to you...and do you have the money to spend on having it shipped.

Make sure you include shipping dimensions. No one likes last minute surprises at the shipping counter!
Considering the price yes I do and am eager hahaha...

You see why I'm so eager to have got it....

I hope they accept the offer and I can have a online buddy from USA help me...
