Dirtfamers Backyard Giants

Well I moved the carport up about a foot. Hard to see in this pic but I got about 10" to play with now. If you look in the top corner you can see I just put the foot on the pole and set that on top of my roof. It was a big mistake to plant them this close. I will lose pounds for my mistake.

Been busy BS'ing with this carport thing. As you can see I added the blocks to get more room. I know this is all jerry rigged and looks funny. Next year I will know this strain and be much more ready for it. After all I never expected that if I stood on my roof the plants still would be waist high? Next year I will have 3 of these 10x20 carports going down my back yard at 2 plants per carport I will know this plants and keep them shorter and pruned. It's going to be a solid wall 60 feet long. :)

Here is a shot over by the fence. I moved the potted plants over here under the plastic. I took my little cover down for it was not needed.

And the buds are in high gear now.

Man i enjoy to looking at this plant when you plan to make some close-up shots of buds?:D

this amounts looks amazing for me i wonder which element of grow tech. is diffrence by him plant and other guys grows why those plants are so big!:D

I give the credit for the size of the plants to my backyard soil. Sure I dug a 3x3 hole with fox farms soil mixed with 35% perlite. what I think happend was the fox farms soil and perlite let my plants build a huge roots ball foundation in the 3x3 fox farm hole. Then by per luck when the roots and that foundation grew out of my 3x3 hole it was a perfect match and just exploded in growth.

My back yard soil has millions of earth worms. I can get 10 plus worms in every shovel full. When I water my grass there are worms everywhere. Not just some a lot. everything I plant back here grows wild. You seen my sunflowers and tomatoes.

Anyway this is the only thing I can think of why these plants got so big. I can;t really say it is the strain for the plant on the left under the cover is a no name strain. Probably bag seed I do not know. But it is huge also.

I am not claiming to be a super grower or anything. this could be anyones backyard. This grow is per luck on how big the plants are. I have grew for 5 years and have done pretty good. But nothing like what is going on now. I really think I am blessed with my backyard soil.

This grow has been simple. FF soil/perlite. FF trio pack and feed to there chart with Ph water. Thats it.

I was worried about closing in all the sides for air flow reasons so I added a roll up side on the cover. The cover is jacked up so high that rain can angle in if it is windy. With this set up I am hoping I can roll it down and help keep the rain out and air flow up. should work real good as a wind breat too. The 10 foot ones like this cost $24 at home deppot. The sale smaller ones as well.

Hey ur a very resourceful man. How many years experience u got under ur belt Dirt? I may look to u for help outdoors next year if we're both still around. Absolutely amazing. Tallest I eve saw was about 9' so I can only imagine how urs look in person. Good job, +rep.

I started 7 years ago. Been doing okay for the last 5. I have grew outdoors for 3 years now. This is the first in my back yard. I best outdoors grow before this grow was 20 plants that gave me 5lbs dried. Would of been a few more lbs if not for storm problems. So I am really stoked about this grow.

Yet another update :) The buds are coming on fast now. These should be pretty fat when they are done. Still have like 4 to 5 weeks left on the potted plants. Here is some pics of the two potted plants.

Here is a shot of the plant by the fence. She is going to have some very large colas. 3 to 4 footers it's looking like. This plant has about 30 large tops. Should be a good yielder.

This is the no name strain, left plant under carport. She is just a fat girl. Growing into my roof now. She is budding good also and doing it fast. I can't even get the whole in the photo. She is also already showing some frost.

This is the tall plant on the right under the cover. Buds are growing mega fast now.

Here is a shot of the back side. it has now filled out pretty nice. way better than I thought it would. The sun travels right over the top of the arborvidas. Next year I will take about 2 feet of the arborvidas so get 100% full sun all day.

Okay back to the potted plant in day time pics. These are looking tasty.

And here is some close up of the tall plant on the right under the cover. These buds are no just forming and already some good resin.
