Dirtfamers Backyard Giants

Hanging plants whole isn't a problem. I think it makes it harder to trim if you wait till they're dry.
Dirtfarmer. How'd your greenhouse do through our little storm last night?lol

I cannot process the leafes on the plant for it to considered not usable. I mean think about it? It is legal while the plants are in the ground? Then it has to be legal to let them dry right? So, while your plants are drying and being strored in bags you cannot be growing 6 more. So by storing the plants this way lets you legaly store your weed as long as you are not growing 6 more over 12 inches. I think some people here are not understanding that you can't grow 6 more while you have your harvest stored this way. It just counts like a growing 6 if it is still on the bush.

I do not know why the law is like this but it is. And as long as it is I am going to go with it. I been in the joint a few times and I am not going back. I have a family and a home now. I can't even think about risking it all over MJ. If I was younger and single and living in the fast lane you bet your ass I would be processing and moving this on dime. Nowadays I will just chill and take my time and try to be smart about it.

My wife ask me every morning if I am legal? I tell her yes.

These are the last pics of the potted plants. All that is left is pop corn. The first potted plant gave up just shy of 1.5 lbs. The other pottedf plant will be over 1.5 lbs for sure. anyway enjoy the update.

just amazing good job

Had my first ripper attempt last night about 1am. I was on the PC doing the last update when I heard my Jack Russell do a little woof bark. For whatever reason the dogs were inside at that time. So as soon as I open my back door my alarms go off. I hear a crash over the fence and running down my neighbors fence line. I yell I will fucking kill you. I did not get a good look but the person looked like a young teen to early 20's.

20 min before this I was out in the yard dinking around. The lights in my house and TV were on. I was in and out all night long. So he gets away for I am not going to run anyone down.

So I check the fence line and see a hole in the fence. When the kid was running off he did not have anything in his hand or backpacks. I figure he needed to carry the plants in somthing. I serached the yard good and found nothing.

This was a stupid ripper for sure. All my house lights were on. You would think that they would wait. Unless they know I go to bed in the tent at 4am every night.

That being said I told nobody about my grow. The only one that may know about it are the meter reader and the yard crew that comes once a week to my neighbors house. Besides that they must have smelled it.

My alarms will set off a single beep when they are tripped. Then 30 sec. later the main alarm will sound. So the ripper heard the first beep and did not run. But when the main alarm went off and as I was coming out my door he then ran.

So they plants will come down 10 days before 8 week mark. There is way more bud than I ever thought I would have anyways. I do not want to gaurd this shit anymore. Plus my wife is totally freaking out. Threating to live in hotel until the plants are all gone. She wants to take the dogs with her for she thinks they will poisen the dogs next.

so they come down today and all this week. I am going to harvest all the tops off the plants making the plant about 8 feet tall. I will then tie the plants up like a x-mass tree. Then cut the stalk off at the bass. Then move the plants into the garage and stuff into the rafters. Then untie the plant and let it dry whole. (this way keeps me legal)

It is a shame I cannot run these out. I will never know what could be or if any leafes were ever going to turn yellow :)

It is not so bad for I was expecting this. My plants are way to big and the plastic covers makes it pretty easy to figure out if you can get into my neighbors yard.

I will keep you all updated on the harvest.

Dirt, harvest just your tops first just like you plan. Take the time to trim and dry and cure them properly. Let the secondaries bulk up--about a week to ten days, probably. You'll be really glad you did because you'll then get to taste "what might have been." AND, with the cooler weather, you should get a lot of purple coming in. Then do your pull....

Hang in there. You'll make it through this.

that sux bro. I had to deal with rippers last season. thats why i didnt end up going outdoors this year with a crop. My wife gave me the same grief about starting one this year, i just opted not to just to be safe. But either way those plants are monster!! and your harvest already looks great. but no matter what your "THE DIRTFARMER". And the dirtfarmer can grow monster that we all wish could be in our back yard as well.+rep

Raids and rippers are a real buzz kill, aren't they. It takes a lot to keep a cool head in order to finish a grow--to weather the storms, real or figurative. It's a natural knee-jerk reaction to just pull 'em all when the worst happens.

Believe me,I know.

But don't do it. If you take them early, all your secondaries will be fluff--a total loss. So you're just biting your nose off to spite your face to keep your bud from falling into rippers' hands, or in my situation, LEO. You get the same loss taking it all early, so why not suck it up and leave them out there to finish ripening?

The word may be out that you have a crop, but that scared kid ain't coming back. That was his big attempt and he blew it. Meanwhile, if you have any recommendation carrying friends that wouldn't mind keeping watch for bud, get it arranged so you can have them in 4 hour shifts so nobody gets sleepy.

And hang tough...

:peace:

IRISH: Bro I serously wish i had you as a partner in some of my outdoor runs. Your a true soldier. I could just imagine a crop between you and DIRTFARMER, this whole world would be green.

LOL! Thanks. Panic serves no one. Better to be tenacious and see it all the way through...with adjustments, of course.

Ayup. *LOL*

even better. Women are more tedious then men.

Tedious. So that's what that's called....:rollit:
