Dime's 12/12 From P.E. Bagseed CFL Grow

Looking great, DIME! Those PE's grow quick and smell great the whole time! In a couple of weeks, those girls will be mosters and you'll be tuning up your odor control! :yummy:

Thanks Krip!

Hey, did your PE have wide leaves too? I thought these were more of a Sativa dominant strain but I'm not exactly sure looking at these babies (plus I'm medicated right now :)). Also, not knowing what strain pollinated the mom, I thought I might be growing an unknown cross. Should be interesting to see what shows up :).

Those are some real beauties:thumb:. I can't believe how fast they're growing.

Thanks my friend! I couldn't believe it, even after seeing it with my own eyes:rofl:

I'm trying to maintain a more steady environment this grow, I'd like to hope that is paying off. I'm thinking about giving them a treatment with Serenade as a preventive measure for PM as even though I cleaned the crap out of the grow room, I'd rather be safe than sorry :wood:

Thanks for stopping by.

Yeah...the PE leaves are huge! Definately indica! :yummy:

Thanks Quix, that really means a lot to me. :thanks:

The videos are fun, I'll probably do them every weekend since it's so much easier to show much more than I could in pics.

...Now, here are some pics :).

Day 8 of 12/12 from seed.

I can't believe the growth in a day!

PE#2 is by far the biggest.

Under the 60X loop, you can see hairs and what looks like the heads of trichs. Last grow I saw the same thing and those turned out to be some frosty girls.:yummy:

They are growing fast and seem to have loved the boost from watering.

That's all for now, physical therapy kicked my butt tonight and it's time to smoke :thumb:

Dig the macros buddy....:goodjob:

Thanks guys, I think you are right. The leaves are very wide and actually growing into the sides of the cups, I think I may have to cut the cups down a bit tonight. I was thinking they would stretch enough to clear the tops of the cups but Uh... Nope. :)

I'll get some pics up tonight, it looks as if the roots have gotten to the nutes in the soil as the plants seem to have hit a growth spurt. The leaf sets are shooting out on almost all of them.

I have to get my veggies into larger pots tonight as the roots are shooting out of the peat plugs I germed them in. They are also on a 12/12 from seed schedule ;). Pics of the PE seedlings will be up later.

Day 9 PICS

The plants are growing well. PE #5 is a bit slow, but I'm surprised how close in size they all are. #4 and #5 are a bit dry up top so I added just enough moisture to the peat to last until tomorrow, then I'll water/feed again.

They are looking like they are happy so far.

I keep looking down here for girl parts :)

Some of the leaves were growing into the sides of the cups and since the plants didn't stretch, I shortened up the cups. This will give them more room and let the air from the fans help build some strong stems.

That's it for now!

Fantastic pictures Dime - they look so healthy, just perfect. Nice! :thumb:

Oh and thanks for this:

I'll give ya a pass on the tardy since you were busy building that bad@$$ room for your grow . It's great to have you here... you have a great way of showing support and are a pleasure to have around, so thank you :Namaste:

... we do follow a lot of the same threads huh? I'm sure I'll see ya in a minute... maybe less :high-five:

Dime, I'm really glad to have you in my circle of "grow buddies" here, and while I'm thrilled to be nominated, you get MY vote. You're creative, thorough, helpful, and a natural at this hobby. Not to mention, very supportive yourself. Thanks man for the kind words --

You know... it's not an easy thing to speak from the heart, especially when it's over the internet, THANK YOU. You are a kind and generous human being and we are all fortunate to have you around.

I feel very lucky to be a part of that circle my friend. I really do pray for the day that the laws that keep us all anonymous are no more. It will be a great day when we can all sit down together in person and share the very thing that brings us together here. I'd like to shake the hand of each and every one of you guys, look you in the eyes and say, "Hi, my name is ............, nice to finally meet you".

:Namaste:

Morning brother dime!

You're a true perv checking for the female parts, that's why we love you :yahoo:

I was gonna suggest backing off the lights a bit if you want a little stretch, as soon as you get what you need drop them back down again. :goodjob:

Oh yeah... grow journal :). Busy last night so here was last nights update.

They all looked pretty much the same last night but have doubled in height already.

Day 2 of 12/12

^This little one has a bit of husk on her leaf-tip I didn't even see until I posted the pic.

The light is ~6" above the top of the cups and the fans are keeping it cool. One thing I learned about this light from last grow is that I can keep it within an inch and it's only around 80-82 degrees. I need to keep it as close as possible to encourage some dense growth again.

Update 2 will be later tonight.

:peacetwo:

looks good bro, startin off nice, i also just started my second grow, and mines are definitely startin to grow dense aswell, come check me out, i'll be postin new pics here shortly, i also baught this spray that i need some people opinions on, its a fungicide, insecticide, and miticide all in one, so if you got a sec come check me out...

Great way to put it dime! Hopefully that day will come sooner than later!

P.S. Them clones are :surf: along like magic man.

Thanks xbox, I'm ready when the time comes :). Yeah these little plants are chugging right along. I'll be watering again today as the cups should be pretty light. Hopefully they'll get another boost:morenutes: :thumb:

looks great so far, cant wait to see how this one turns out. :goodluck:

Thanks! Even though I know what these seeds came from, it will be interesting to see what they look like in another week and also when they get bigger :).

Talk about lumens per square foot, if you're running all 12, its got to be brighter than sunlight under there. No wonder they're not stretching.:thumb:

 Yeah there's a bit of light on them right now. Before I added the 42 W bulbs I measured the foot-candles (or lumens per sq ft) with a light meter that takes spot readings at a particular point in space, i.e. the tops of the plants. @ 1.5" away the light fixture maxed out the meter @ 5000 foot-candles or ~50,000 lux. I guess this would be rated at well over 5,000 lumens per sq ft. Not too shabby for CFLs :thumb:

from what I have read, sunlight can range anywhere from 10 foot-candles (dusk) to over 10,000 foot-candles (direct sunlight). I'd like to get a meter that goes higher to get an exact reading now that I'm using 6, 42W bulbs in place of 6, 23W bulbs.

Your only a perv if you stare  but I love ya right back!

Yeah, I was thinking about raising the light a bit but was concerned that if I did they may stretch too far later and I will loose the effective range of the CFLs. I may just raise it an inch or two and see what happens.

During the last grow the bottoms of the plants shot out like crazy trying to get to the light the top 6" or so of the plants were enjoying. Guess this is where the defoliation is gonna come in this round, needs to happen anyway to have enough room.

Thanks Blue!

Thanks for the compliment and I'll make sure to get over there and check out your grow :thumb:

I just used a whole bunch of different products so I may be able to help or at least offer up my experiences with them.

Those little guys look great!

Thanks T!

Now I just hope these little "guys" end up as bud covered "gals"
