Hey Nis, sorry didn't get back to ya this morning. We had a birthday party for our daughter today, lots of kids running around lol. Yes, these are some of the beans I won in that contest. There will be more strains to come in this journal as well since I have 8 CKS strains now thanks to the last 2 contests.

The Dutch Treat seems to be starting off fine in my seedling mix but is certainly slower than the Hash Plant, she has been stretching a little more than the other. I looked this evening at the bottom of the green cups I planted in and the tap roots have hit the bottom on both and are working their way to the edge of the cups now.

Hey SG, thanks for making it over here. Yeah I thought it would be a good idea to use the green clear cups and then tape them up, this way I can have a look at how the roots are doing before actually pulling them out of the cups, just have to peel some tape back :)

**Time for a quick update**

Here we are on day 3 for CB Dutch Treat and Hash Plant.. They both seem to be loving life so far, hash plant is slowly working on her second set of true leaves, they are just starting to poke through. The dutch treat seems to be a little slower getting going but has just as fast of a root system starting out as the hash plant. I like that I used the green cups since the bottoms aren't taped, I can see the tap root doing it's thing already :)

Here is my short girl CB Dutch Treat, first set of true leaves developed and waiting to show the 2nd set.



And here is miss Hash Plant, tall and stretchy. She has started developing her 2nd set of true leaves.



Not a whole lot else to touch on today.. I cleaned up the whole upstairs area today to try and get rid of any excess fur and dust flying around up there (I know I will never get it all) since I do open up my tent door during the day for fresh air movement, along with the windows if it gets a little warm up there. Hopefully soon I will be able to seal off that one bedroom completely bringing in fresh air from the house through the doorway I will put in and then exhausting out the small window that is in that room. Hopefully exhausting thru that window in the winter wont be to bad, we will see how that pans out since we get some pretty cold temps.

Anyways, take care all! I will be back with another update in a couple days or if something else big happens lol

**Quick update**

Hey folks, just stopping in with a quick update for tonight, still not a whole lot happening. I topped up the cups with more of my seedling mix this afternoon to cover up the majority of the stem and make more roots :) This will also help make them more sturdy when they get bigger.

They were also ready for a small drink today as well, I did this after adding more dirt, each one got about 1/4 cup. The cups had a pre-soaking the day of planting so it's been 5 days. Now I will let them dry out until they get pretty dry, get them roots searching around the soil for water.

You have to go to edit signature in the user cp section. You can copy and paste the link to the first page of your journal there, OR you can type in the text you want to appear in your signature, then click and drag to highlight it all, and click on the small globe button at the top and copy the link to your journal there.

Give it a try and if you need some help just let me know, always willing to help when I'm around. In the mean time I will try to search for your journal.
 
**Quick update**


Hey everyone, just another quick update. Work has got me pretty busy lately it seems, early mornings heading to the power plant and then odd jobs in the afternoon/evening, and then life on top of it :) Needless to say I've been keeping pretty busy. Still managing to get my every other day pictures and getting them on here for you all though.


Here we have CB Dutch Treat, day 7, a whole week old now. She still isn't doing much stretching at all which I don't mind, I like to my plants a little shorter. Quite the growth rate over the last 2 days since I topped up the dirt and gave the 2nd watering, I have noticed the first set of leaves getting bigger and broader, as well as the 2nd node developing more.



And here is Hash Plant, 7 days old as well. This girl still seems to be stretching a little and is getting even closer to the lights now, might have to move them up in a day or 2. The 2nd node is really starting to come out on this girl and leaves getting bigger as well, decent growth rates I think :)

I can't wait to see them take off either, once them roots get developed they will get up-potted and should start taking off nicely.

Aww thanks shruum, buying more internet time to come over and see me and the babies haha! I'm sure Snid will let ya slide on in there, but watch it, he's a bit of a biter when he gets all worked up lmao. The goodies are sure to calm him down some, good thinking!
 
**Update time**

Thanks to all of you for stopping by and showing their support and love, it sure means a lot to see some old friends from my last journal as well as the new comers that stop in. Great support is such a big part of this wonderful community, keep it up everyone!

The 2 seedlings are still doing fine upstairs, they are both now 10 days old. Noticing a little bit of growth each day. Not to much vertical growth lately like it was at first, since I got the lights nice and close to them it's slowed down some.

Dirt is starting to get dried up again and the cups are feeling pretty light, I have been watching the babies closely for signs of needing water but I don't want to stress them this early on. I will see how the cups feel tomorrow morning and determine whether to water or not. They were watered lightly on day 7 when I added soil to the cups but the temperature is warmer and humidity lower upstairs, I figure that's why the soil is drying out so quickly this few days.

CB Dutch Treat has gotten a little bit of leaf twisting from the fan, had it a little close. She still hasn't grown vertically anymore so I'm wondering if this strain will end up being short and bushy or if it's going to take off out of no where one day. I heard from a fellow 420 member they are a slow starter so this could be what I am seeing. No big deal, I'm sure she will fair out just fine :) Just trying to push out that 3rd node now. Here she is in all her glory..




Hash Plant is still standing tall but has also slowed down some and seems to be focusing on foliage growth for now. The 3rd node is really working it's way out now and the 2nd node leaves are getting quite a bit bigger compared to the last update. Still looking healthy as well, here she is..



Will soon be time for me to put another couple of beans down to get this party rockin :) These will likely be 2 more photoperiod strains, CBDream and Purple Kush! Once I get some more light happening in the veg room I will start popping a few autoflower strains as well, I think I will grow them in some 3 liter pots I have laying around. See what happens as the time passes by :) Take care all, keep them gardens green and smelly!
 
**Quick update**

Hey again all you fine folks. Sorry I haven't been updating a frequently as I normally would like, been lots going on lately and just beat by the time I sit down at night lol. Plants are doing just fine though, not much tending to them right now really, just checking up on them to make sure I got no maple bugs or other insects crawling/flying around in the room. I find that when fall comes all the creepy crawlies go looking for a warm place to hide, unfortunately that's inside everyone's houses, garages, sheds etc. Anyways, on with the show!!


Here we have a couple small root shots, I decided it was time to peel back a little tape to get an idea of what the roots have been doing in there. These pictures were taken on day 11, today is day 14 and the Dutch Treat has started to get a root wrapping around the bottom. Dutch treat first, Hash Plant 2nd.



This is CB Dutch Treat, day 14 and seems healthy. Fair amount of growth in 4 days, she's just starting to work on the 4th node.


And here is Hash Plant on day 14 as well, pushing out the 4th and 5th nodes which are staying pretty close together.



It will soon be time to start mixing up a nice and light batch of nutes for these little ones. I just watered on day 11, both plants got 1/2 cup each since they were pretty dry and also got a little bit of run off. Plan will also be to top these plants since I haven't gotten my hands dirty on any early training and bending. Maybe 1 of the next plants I will try to maneuver around the way I want. Anyway, that's it's for tonight folks, I will get a nice full update on things over the weekend! Thanks all for stopping by the garden.

Oh yes they sure have, and they are loving it so far. I am hoping for tasty, we will see how it goes. All trial and error here :)

Thanks premed, it didn't seem like they were growing very fast for the first week but then I started noticing big differences. Go compare the pictures from day 10 to the ones I just posted in the latest update, crazy difference in just 4 days lol
