Devil's Carnival: The Community Grow Experience

Sure is a tall one sue. We had one from the previous generation that stretched like crazy in flower. She was very purple and very very frosty. More leaning towards the carnival side of things.

After all of the plants that we have going currently are done, I plan on continuing the breeding and stabilization of the DC. If their are traits that anyone has concerns with or that you are looking for, let me know and I'll breed for it. I would love to see tighter node spacing and more of a bush type plant. Don't really need to do anything on the yield side of things since for us it is more of a connoisseur plant. Still a decent yielder though.

Thanks to everyone that is growing this, seeing different training methods and phenotypes helps us with the breeding since we may not see everything.

I thought I would toss this picture in here since we have decided that the random plant we have mixed in with an aloe plant is a devil's carnival. Absolutely beautiful colors so far and this is my favorite time of flower.

Yes there are plans to make this publicly available. I want at least 2 more generations before releasing it. Otherwise it isn't as stable as I would like and leaves too many phenos out there. If we can get it down to 3 I would be happy. The next run we do will narrow it down pretty good and the following run should be close to what we want to keep.

So yes I have been looking at one of the mags sponsors, www.cannpot.com , and signing up as a breeder to sell seeds there seems possible. Maybe I could set something else up as well. Need to stabilize the strain first. Shooting for the spring or early summer 2018 and we should have a decent stock and a stable strain or two.

I honestly wish I could pin point the smell, but to me it is a mixture of citrus and floral if that makes sense. I'll puff on some a bit later and see if I can get a better idea.

What was your tallest one Brix? I'm reassured that the high was the same. I really wanted color, but I'll settle for potent.

Well my memory is terrible, so I would have to look at the journal. Look at the journal and realize that I didn't take any pictures of it in late bloom. But I know without a doubt they weren't nearly as tall as your girls. I can say that with 100% certainty.

Ok so jus wanted to drop this in here and say I'll be posting my progress here on my 2 d.c. seeds I was gifted for my bday from sweetsue she is the best I was so happy this is the best bday gift I've ever received lol but yea I hope they turn out to be photos at least 1 anyway so that way I can clone her to make sure I'm able 2 keep this strain in my arsenal I'm like a fat kid in a candy store I can't stop grining I've been on cloud nine all day since I got the mail 2day and opened sues card she got me n there it was the best 2 lil things I cud have received lol

Yea im so glad i started trying hempy cuz even if this growing style dnt suit me even tho im sure it will lol it has so far but yea even if it dnt work out for sum reason I definitely found a new start my seedlings and clones cuz so far I'm still at 100% everything I've tried doing has so far worked out lol

What a beauty! What's the plan with her Nis? I won't be getting purple, at least all indicators are headed in that direction. She's at day 43 under flowering lights, and this week I kicked the timer back an hour to 11/13. As soon as I think she's dry enough I'll give her her Energy drench. She got Brixeed yesterday.

Her clone is now 43 days old, and has been chopped back severely, and yet she insists on being another Amazon.

At least another month before she has a place to flower. It'll be a challenge to contain her. I'll take a clone of the clone but keep it small or keep cloning it until I grow out another seed. I'm hoping for a purple pheno but I don't want to lose these genetics during the search.

Mine is coming down tomorrow....maybe later today, don't know. I didn't get any purple either Sue but boy did I like the tester I smoked last night. It's a very functional happy high. It lasted a good 3 hours with a little sleepiness at the end but it was my bedtime anyway so I don't know if I'd get that feeling during the day. I cloned it and it seems like it is good enough to keep for a while but I really want a purple one with the same effects.
So far I think Nis hit a home run with this crossing.

We will be running a HSO black dog next run and I think crossing the two could get us somewhere. Maybe a GDP also...the options!

I wouldn't say it was a bad yield but it is on the lower side of average I would say. I don't care too much about yield unless it is just way too little produce to justify the time. I know how this one grows so next run I can let it get bigger for sure. It didn't give me a lot of larf. Even the smaller stuff was fully formed buds just small. I have no complaints. While harvesting I did see some purple on the underside of the sugar leaf but no purple on the buds. I smoked it again last night and I really do like this stuff.....great job Nis!

Dam sue great job keeping the genetics alive gotta love photos for tht ability man i sure wudnt have as much medicine as i do if not for cloning lol lookn gud even tho its not purple it still has me drooling over here lol
