Dennise - No Longer The Newest Of Newbies - Not Growing In MG - Perpetual

The roots are only growing where the cuts were but I have no idea about which one was deepest or what not. Also the branch on this little plant is thicker and more bark like than MJ so I actually think MJ would work better and possibly grow roots other than were it was cut and my thinking is that the moisture and nutrients needed to start root production would be more easily absorbed through the branch of a MJ plant than the plant in my window. Just sayin'... Maybe someone can use this info if not just fyi..........:green_heart:

If I were growing with a license on the up I would definitely have a propane system and my greenhouse would be larger than 200 sq. ft.
I also live in the SW, so it is nowhere near as cold for as long as up north. My big bills come from the A/C which you need or you die in summer. I have no clue how people did it in the old days. I am a native New Yorker. Moved out of there 20 years ago.

Heat bills are one of the main reasons we don't simply move to Colorado.

I wouldn't leave here for any reason especially to go to Co. No disrespect intended but I love where I am and a lot of x in Denver area and it ain't quite far enough at times and I was through there last summer and holy hell it was hot. I thought I was going to melt. Friend we were staying with had no A/C and I assure you I will never go back in the summer. Man that was horrible.............:circle-of-love:

I know! I grew up in the city, Brooklyn. I spent many summers upstate New York. It is a very large state which many people don't picture. Most people live either in the northwest of the state or the southeast of the state. It's expensive as hell.

He makes it through here pretty often so hopefully he will see it. Thanks Notorious.....:thanks:

I love the soil layering experiment.:Namaste:I buried mine tho.I will have to check on her and see if there is any new growth coming in.In my case,I was thinking it would grow like a main stalk, but I have read also that in order to do that, you still need to have the main top lower then the branch I have buried.Kind of what we do when we LST.There is some info out there, just need to hunt for it.

Hi Garden..:ciao::ciao: I know what ya mean. My fella's family tried to get us to move up there to be closer to his mom (she recently passed) and we did go up there for 6 months to help take care of her and the 2 weeks it is warm there are awesome. We rode to some beautiful places but I saw when their taxes came in and utilities and the amounts they have to pay to own a car etc.... Then I had to take her to a hospital and right then and there I made up my mind I would not be living in NY. I love the health care system here and I just would not go to the hospital in NY... I would just die I think. It was aweful.... not to mention I plain could not pay what it cost to live there..... I'm good with going to visit every couple of years then coming back to my beautiful place. I think I will see it legal everywhere in my lifetime. :circle-of-love:

Ok You guys remember some time back we were talking about ways to clone and someone, can't remember who, was talking about cloning while still attached to the mother... Well I didn't want to do it to one of my girls for obvious reasons but I have this little plant in my kitchen window that I have had for years and it never gets bigger but blooms a couple of times a year but it's branches lay low and I thought it would be a perfect way to check this theory and it definitely works. I hope I don't get in trouble for posting a pic that is not MJ but it is for MJ growing purpose. I can only assume that if it works on this plant it will work on MJ and this couldn't have been easier. I just took a new razor blade and cut tiny little slashes in the stem and laid it down where it would touch the soil. I didn't bury it at all it was just touching the soil and here ya go.......... ]
Geez, I'm a day behind here.
Cool experiment Dennise! That deserved reps!
Hope you and all are doing well on this beautiful Sunday. :circle-of-love:

Truth be told, the state I live in is really quite nice. We have nice and long periods of springlike weather all winter long. These cold snaps only last days. Today it is supposed to be 78 and tomorrow it won't get out of the 30s with expected ice and snow/rain. My mother, on the other hand, pays over 11,000 dollars every year JUST FOR real estate tax and that is the senior discount. Of course she does live on Long Island and the ocean comes right up to her backyard, but still.

I too believe we'll see cannabis legalized everywhere in the US in our lifetime. And I'm 58.

Hey Dennise,
I saw your post about cloning without removal from the mother...well, I don't know if this would work with Cannabis, but air layering is also a great method to make clones. You can do a search for the technique and maybe experiment with that, as well.

I think It is something about them T states..... I think your T state is more like a T country and will most likely be about the last to come around with my State being next to last. That's OK though. I only live in red and I like it....:circle-of-love:

Well, this is planet blue in universe red! The city I live is very liberal. Has big music and film festivals and lots and lots of hippies. I like it here. Our governor idiotica said the other day he was interested in seeing Cannabis decriminalized. But, we have Wendy Davis who I hope will win our state as this is our gobs last term. Buh, bye. Wendy is going to turn this state around...I know it, I Hope it!
