Dennise - No Longer The Newest Of Newbies - Not Growing In MG - Perpetual

Nothing beats having a fella to cook for and eat with....my last fella I would ask what he would like for dinner, he would speak, I'd go buy the ingredients and we would click our wine glasses together and say 'nobody has it better than us' when we sat down to eat. You are a lucky gal, D, to have such a great fella.

Yeah, I only eat at home, can't afford anything else at the moment.. Can't wait till I can though.. I don't have the patience to julienne my carrots  I'm one of those lucky sobs too.. I can be a gluttonous pig and lose weight... I enjoy going out occasionally. Im not a trained chef, they have skills I can't create but can enjoy..in saying that though, my favourite meal is mums roast dinners...

It's so far to a real restaurant here you really have to want to go....don't just jump up and decide to go out to dinner around here.... The IHOP was an almost hour drive...:) I love me some IHOP....:)....:circle-of-love:

I personally think that is about the sexists thing I've ever heard a man say...:;):...:circle-of-love:

I agree with you., D, I've had fellas who did all the cooking for me and it is indeed very very sexy.

I started cooking for myself when I was 9 years old.

In the summer I'd wake up at 6:00AM and Mom let me use the electric frying pan to cook bacon and eggs. So I'd hit the kitchen at 6:00 and be fed and on my bike by 6:30.

When I moved out on my own, I just kept cooking and after working in restaurants I was better at it than my wife, so I've been doing it ever since. I'm a man of an earlier era, and I always thought it odd that a man could hold his head up without being able to feed himself. :hmmmm: Our fathers were helpless without a woman to feed them.

That is why both my Boys know how to cook...clean and sew by hand or machine. I made it my job to make them self sufficient.....that way they can choose the woman they want not the one they need to cook...clean..and sew for them.
Plus women love men that can do that stuff

It's becoming a lot more common for males to cook at home now.. I along with most of my friends moved out into rentals at 17-18, you learn to cook, especially when on apprentice wage, lol... I actually learned at school. Was one of two blokes in the class. I couldn't work it out, was a good looking classroom, easiest subject to pass, you cook and eat food and gain a life skill, tick in every box..

I do most of the cooking at my house. It is not that my wife can't cook, she can. I just like to do it more!! :circle-of-love::peace:

Loved it Dennise :rofl::rofl: :passitleft:

That's how I learned a lot of what I can do, Mom and Aunt taught me to not need a woman.

Kudos to you, Mom.

Grizz, I was the other bloke. I took Home Ec too. Easy class, lots of gals, even the teacher was....MmmHmmm.....yeah.....

Probably the most useful thing I learned in high school was learning to make chicken fettuccine primavera in that class. That dish served me well in my younger years...cough, cough....

:cheesygrinsmiley:

I would have figured you to be the guy in home economics.... An all most all girl class... Food and girls... Bet ya didn't hate it...:biglaugh::biglaugh:...:circle-of-love:

:)

Hey, I was young. Around females the young male brain loses cognitive abilities.... if they are even developed yet. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

I was looking at "ultra palatable" food yesterday online and found the Tacobell Waffle Taco

there never was a more delicious looking fast food breakfast item than a waffle folded into a taco with scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon cheese and maple syrup dumped on top! So cruel they killed it off in 2015...

Yum! Getting my waffle irons out tonight. Can't think of a better delivery vehicle for my meds.
