Dennise, your plants are always picture perfect. When you water with 1 to 1 1/2 gallons of water how much if any drains out before you put it back into the tent? You have a wonderful gift with your green thumb with so many good friends to learn from Thanks for sharing your grows.

:passitleft: High Neil... I set them in the tub obviously and water just until I see water starting to run out of the bottom and then I leave them in the tub usually for about 30 minutes is all.... Just enough so they don't drench the bottom of the tent... I like to water with enough water to see them start to drain... They are not in catch trays.... I don't really like them to suck it back up the bottom.... I know a lot of growers use a swick system to water which does sorta water from the bottom and some soak the pot half deep in water and let it soak in the bottom and top water... I really don't get all that...:thedoubletake: The swick I can see if you have to be gone for a long period of time but for any other reason...:scratchinghead: I can't figure out any better way than picking up the water jug and pouring it in....... When I have had to flush for some reason and use a bunch of water.... I just let them stay in the tub until they aren't dripping any more but it is never much longer than an hour at the most... Hope that helps a bit...:)....:circle-of-love:

And also... the 1.5 gallons was the one and only time she has ever held that much water.... She is just sucking it all up right now almost as fast as I will give it to her.... Her normal watering is a gallon and almost always right as I'm finishing off the gallon jug I will see her starting to pee...:) I use organic nutes that are in the soil that I use (PeeJay's soil) that are called Yum-Yum... and the stuff is amazing plus I have access to some amazing compost and worm castings.... and there is a good bit of perlite so the soil I have been able to mix up has just been beautiful and I am not having to add anything but water.... It is making life so easy... I am spraying every 3rd day with the essential oils at lights out for added trich production but other than that it's just plain ol' H2o.....:circle-of-love:

nice buds forming. how do you like the spider led grow light compared to the mars hydro led grow lights?

Thanks b... I like it for flowering... I think it is to intense for veg and tbh the lights wiring scares the hell out of me and that's part of the reason I only flower with is... With that said it definitely makes denser and larger buds and the penetration is much much better.... But it's still a Twilight and after what happened with the spider16... I'm still a bit scared of it...:circle-of-love:

what happened with the 16 again? I remember seeing a picture of that thing hanging just don't remember the story lol. the 4 is running good though right? I might get a spider 2.

It blew up the switch 3 times and literally fried it. The third time it was"fixed" I gave it to 7dust... It was wired with tv wire and not for USA current... This is supposed to be fixed but I don't want to go back down that path... I had my spider 4 rewired and a new switch put in it... I just wouldn't go stronger then the spider4 just to be safe... Honestly... For the same or less money I think you can be safer... Check out Chronic's lights and Broke ass's last one....:circle-of-love:

oh yeah BAR has one too. thanks for all the info D. shame on them for not just doing it right from the start. there's some other nice looking panels too called wellpar which is priced like mars hydro I wonder how their build quality is

Honest real, if you do get a spider. Better put a fire alarm above it. Or open it up and look see what wires they used and Google if it used for tv, or whatever. Not sure I would even trust it at this point. They used cheep wires and switches, but they have a nice set up just cheep equipment inside. He at shield inside are hot . Temps get way above normal pre ram's. This spider 16 got up to 228 degrees and fire usually starts about 219.f any moisture or anything can burn it at that temps. Wires they had in these was rated only to 150.

It's odd how they have those fans sitting on the LED Units. Seems a bit of a restriction on cooling the whole LED unit........

That are the heat sinks and size and fan would be ok but with that design they have no good airflow
and that create hotspots in the middle of that lamp.
Beside the fact that intake and outtake are much restricted, that design will never be able to cool that thing.
