Dennise - No Longer The Newest Of Newbies - Not Growing In MG - Perpetual

If you know basement is infested use a bug bomb before moving plants down there.

Basement not infested just usual spider here and there, just the basement is unknown territory, I don't know if there is anything to be concerned about. Not a big fan, maybe things will change, bright lights, wonderful aromas, doesn't pot keep the basement icky things away, like garlic to vamps ? :;):

I have a little bit of an update today on the Green xxxxx, Skunk Afghani and the Black to Black..... I didn't think my girls could be any prettier than the last girls in the closet were (NlxBB, AKxWW, SBR) but I think these are even prettier. There is nothing bad I can even think of to say about the Growology. A blind running moron could use these nutes and not flux them up :goof: and I am amazed at the job they are doing. Honestly the camera just doesn't do the color of these girls justice. They are pretty enough to just leave hanging around as house plants..... They are 5 days in bloom and were each watered with 1 gallon of purified water with full strength step 3 Growology......:circle-of-love:

Yea yea that's it... I'm sure of it...:high-five:....:circle-of-love:

The heat output from lights would help to keep humidity levels down in a musty old basement.

Personally I think basements are best indoor grow areas, keeps temps under control much easier.
I totally agree and wish I had one. No one would have any reason to wander down there and it will stay so much cooler and I think a perfect place for LED's cause there won't be a heat issue. Just sounds perfect to me......:circle-of-love:

Nice pics Dennise, healthy plants....

With your collection of smart pots, you ever consider trying simple hydro 'Capn Style'? 3/4 my grow is now this type of set up, moved away from soil, it a mess and I have more control over things with hydro, IMO. You could do a simple setup for probably less then $50(althought I have spent more then that converting it all over) At a minimum it a fun thing to try.

I don't know Craw.... I really like growing in soil and am thinking I will most likely go back to soil with any new beans I pop. I would like to be able to grow with Red Bud soil, compost and worm castings and use Growology nutes once the plants start looking in need of something. I know that doesn't make a lot of sense but I love the Growology nutes and the way they build up the trichs but I think if I could start with the Red Bud it most likely would be well into veg before it would require any nutes much at all and then giving them the flowering nutes to finish flowering... It is just what has been going through my head of late so by the time it gets to popping new beans I will have changed my mind 12 times and Lord only knows what I will have up my sleeve by then and I did just receive another bag of ProMix so have enough to do everything that has popped to date. I do know I need to use up all the stuff I have "invested" in so far before going off in another direction or my fella is gonna step on me again with all that money talk stuff...:thedoubletake:.....:circle-of-love:

Thanks everybody ! :circle-of-love:

I've converted two separate areas of my basement and I was surprised at what a can of white paint will do.

These places were forgotten, untended, cobweb-filled, dank ugly dark places that smelled of old sticky grime. But wow, some work with the shop vac and a coat of Kilz and they're bright and clean and welcoming - even smells good. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Hi Dennise :ciao:

I wouldn't go completely off of stage 2 yet. During the stretch your girls are gonna be sucking up the N and too little and you will get some girdle yellowing. If you do it's not that bad. Just some faded leaves after all.
I don't want to speak for Growology, but I think the jest of what we have been chatting about is feeding step 2 for the first 1 or two weeks of flower (sometimes even 3) while the stretch is still rocking.

Don't panic, as pretty as them girls are I'm sure they are in perfect health. Just run it by Growology before your next watering and see what they say. ;)

I like the way you answered every ones post in one shot. I have to learn to do that as I get lost by the time I finish reading a journal. I just germinated a Green XXXXX and was looking for another name. Just found it thanks Lady D.

I think keeping the plants on Step 2 for a week or so into flowering would be fine, but as spimp says, NOT doing that won't be a big deal either. And Dennise, they sure look great! Thanks for the shots and the comments!

High Dennise :circle-of-love:, I hope all is well with you and your girls...of course I have a question or two. When do you start adding molasses???
I need a humidifier, warm or cool mist ?
Ordering another grow tent today, I wish I could build a grow area like you ... now I need another LED light.
This hobby can be a little expensive but you gotta have what you gotta have.
Thanks for helping me out. :thanks:

Your the convincer Babygirl, it's GROWOLGY from here on out for me. Also on the hydro tip; "If it aint broke don't fix it".

Though I can relate to what Cdaddy is saying. You just about have soil down pat so why not venture into other methods of growing.

:passitleft: High b...... the WW is in a cabinet under a Top Led 3w reflector all by herself......:circle-of-love:

I will do that with the next girls coming up but have already switched over to step 3 on the girls in the closet. they seem to be quite happy about it so we shall see.... The comments are easy John cause it is the truth... your nutes are awesome......:circle-of-love:

:passitleft: High granny... I would go for a cool mist humidifier and my only reasoning is I have read King saying to use a cool mist and if the King says it I believe it and that makes it true...... With the Growology nutes you don't want to use molasses... again I don't know the reasoning I just know I have read that you will have problems if you use molasses with the Growology so I never have. Hopefully John will chime in here and tell us why but I think again I read it from King.....:circle-of-love:

I just have a love for dirt I think. I really like growing in soil and I have so many little grow spaces that it would be such a pain in the azz to have all the hydro placed all over the house but I change my mind like the wind so ya just never know.......:circle-of-love:
I would let your auto flower White Widow grow without too much manipulation.
I have her in the cabinet all by herself and she is potted up in her final pot and just being watered. I am going to just ler her grow. Thank you.....:circle-of-love:
I was going to agree and say White Widow. The autos are sort of dwarf anyway, so it will just make its own shape. At least that's what mine did. I topped my autos once. LA knows a lot more about it than me.
I'm not going to top her or anything. Just going to let her grow and see what happens.......:circle-of-love:
