Dennise - No Longer The Newest Of Newbies - Not Growing In MG - Perpetual

Can we see the inside of that extra tall tent Lady Dee? One day you can wear one of your Harley Tees & wear your new Dinafem Tee the following day. And then the next day throw on a skull & cross-bone Tee. Confuse the heck out of your neighbors when you go into town.
I will take a pic of it in the morning. It is in the same room as the tent with the girl in flower and they have gone night night. I took 1 but it was all fluxed up but will certainly take more tomorrow...:sleep:
I kinda do that now. I wear peace signs one day then the next I wear Harley shirts then I threw in the Growology shirt and now the seed shirt... I'm not sure if I will confuse them or if they will be going....Ohh. I get it now...:hmmm:....:circle-of-love:
:passitleft:....:circle-of-love:
new tents yea! I need to get one to replace my closet veg station.

I got some Lemon Thai Kush that I have high hopes for from Humboldt Seeds, about to go flower, they are big leaved plants but growth rate is rather unimpressive. Hard to pick what to grow from so many out there/

Soil moisture testers are worthless IMO, although never tried $$$ one. Weight method is the way i usually go by.

Plants are looking good, two plants you got outside are going to be big and obvious in a month or two, how is your privacy level?
I agree with ya totally on the watering thing and usually do but just got lazy. I won't let it happen again that's for sure. I feel kinda like a jerk for hurting them that way.....:thedoubletake:
Thanks for the concern but I can't see a neighbor from anywhere around my house. To see into my back yard you have no choice but to get out of your car and walk up on my property and that is not a very smart thing to do in these here parts.....:circle-of-love:

OMG OMG OMG OMG my plants are all in full flower!!!!! Will they revert back into veg as the days get longer? Should I start more seed now and scrap? WHAT!!!!

Not really in a panic or a n y t h i n g!

Two choices IMO, and this is adding to what Lester said because he is 100% right (as always)

1. bring them in under a light at night, but do not keep light on ALL night. e.g make it go off 1-2 hours after sunset and 1-2 hours before sunrise. (If a plant gets light all night long and then goes into a early summer day patters it will be more likely to flower then a plant whose indoor light pattern is closer to the actual day patters, I have no real evidence to back this claim up but I firmly believe it.)

2. ride it out, they should revert to veg in not too look and depending on how far they got in flower before reveg will have to do some trimming.

What latitude you at also? I am at about 46 degrees north, at about 1000 foot elevation and I just put mine out in last week, and that may be to soon, only did it cause warm sunny dry week.

Hey Craw I don't know if you have looked into the tents much but when you do at least look at the Secret Jardin. So far I am really impressed... With that being said let me also add I haven't even put a light in it yet but it seems to be really well made and I put my great nephew inside it and zipped it up and he says it is totally dark. It was very easy to put together but seems very well made and the price was really good too.....:circle-of-love:

Yea Secret Jardins are good especially for the $$$. I go with Gorilla for big tents cause hold ALOT more weight safely, but pricey. But for this one will be something like the Secret Jardin, I cant remember do they have plastic or metal pole connectors? I just need a 24" X 48" and only 6 feet tall or not fit in closet. Then i can take doors of closet and use tent vents with exhaust fan for better airflow.

Okay, well...shoot, the WW x BB is really flowering its face off. I am at 30 degrees, so much farther south than you. I was a bit concerned about doing this so early, but I was so ready. I just want to make sure I get a harvest, so in order to do that, what would you do? Start over from scratch? I have to see what seeds I have left.

How do people take cuttings from flowering plants to make monster crop or is that super cropping? This is so ridiculous. I am a professional grower! Am I crazy or what? It's ONLY a PLANT!

I'll check my seed bank. Not sure what I have left. I'm on my way to John's journal.

Had to stop and ask my great nephew but he says they are plastic but not the cheesy plastic like is in my other tent... He got the pleasure of putting both of them up.....:)....:circle-of-love:

Well if it was going into flower I would probably bring her inside and let her go for it and start another outside. I'm sure there is plenty of time left but don't you have several outside????.....:circle-of-love:

Oh, the cold is over. The A/C is back on! What is causing the flowering is day length. The days are still hovering around 12 hours or so. If I knew they would just reveg I'd just keep watering and taking care of them, but I don't know if they will revert.

I've been doing some reading, it's all over the place. So many different answers it is mind boggling. One person said that some of the indicas have a hard time reverting back into veg cycle if they flower early. Another person said if you flash them with light to interrupt the cycle of darkness they will revert.

You can't believe the amount of different ideas there are. I'll call High Times directly if I have to!

It depends heavily on how far into flower they have gotten. If they have not built up enough flowering hormones, which means if they haven't fully gotten into hard flower, then they'll have no problem going back into veg, and will likely produce fine medicine. However, if they synthesize an abundance of flowering hormones, meaning if they get semi-deep into flower, and then they get hit hard by the sparked synthesis of vegetative hormones, then we see less quality flowers and also increased chances of self-pollination. On the latter end, we have plants, as said, usually indicas, which are able to synthesize and store more flowering hormones that do not get overcome by the concentration of vegetative hormones and will continue flowering even through the summer solstice with no problem. So it's all case by case. I would definitely let the plants grow, because I am almost sure they are not far along at all in flower, which means their next batch of flowers in ~August will be just fine. It's when plants are in mid-bloom and this revegetative signal occurs is what you don't want. The lesson is to be prepared, and don't put plants out that are sexually mature, but don't have enough time to finish flowering without the aid of some kind of light deprivation technique. Usually you find the sativas bouncing back to reveg, although I have seen pure Trainwreck get harvested in June for an early harvest with no issues at all in revegetation. So it's all case by case with each plant depending on how mature it is when its put outside. As I've stated, my method to insure an early crop and avoid revegetation is to simply force flower, and let the naturally flowering ladies do what they wish. What that means is, anybody who is sexually mature enough to want to flower before the June solstice will get force flowered and pushed across the finish line, the rest will grow to become large and beautiful plants by the end of Fall.

As an outdoor grower, you acclimate to your surroundings and adapt to what is necessary for a successful medicinal harvest. With experience you understand the upper and lower bounds of what you can do to be successful given the variable conditions of your microclimate.

Feel free to PM me about your specific issue, but I'm sure with your 45+ years of gardening experience that you'll have it in the bag :thumb:

I think that is what I would do.....:circle-of-love:

I think I agree with Craw and would just them do their thing....:circle-of-love:
GF I feel as though if you interrupt there night cycle with bright lights for an hour or two it will throw them off their flower phase... I mean the old saying is keep ALL light out of the flower tent when it's night cycle cause it will throw off the plants flower mode...
:high-five:....:circle-of-love:

Green, from what I've been reading regarding photo period is that even a few seconds of interruption can keep the plants in veg. There are pro growers using a method where they have the lights on as few as 9 or 10 hours a day and right before they turn the lights on they give the plants a strobe flash and it keeps them in veg while only getting 9 or 10 hours of light per day. They do get very stout and have many tops. I've seen this being done and it looks amazing because they can keep everything perfectly even in the house. That is desirable when growing on a large scale no matter what you are growing.

So, now where to I get a strobe! Hahaha. Okay, I'm not going to do any of that. I'm going wait...and see. I can always go indoors and get myself a full set up. I wonder how much a full set up would run me...would I do LED or what? This sets me up for a whole other bunch of questions.

The plants right now are healthy and loving life. Brats with their flowers.

I've had brats here for the last 2 days and at least mine eventually go away... Jezzzz..
I certainly think you made the right decision on the girls. I think once the weather is all straightened out they most likely will too. It may have cost ya some time but fall is a ways off no matter what cha do....:circle-of-love:

:yahoo:...I have just a small update for the day... First off I would like to apologize to all of you for not being around like I normally am... especially after being honored with the nomination of MOTM. :hugs: I was sorta talked in to or ambushed or what ever ya want to call it but have started a treatment for the MS and it is sorta kicking my butt... hence the reason my fella had someone pop in for a couple of days to visit (he finally fessed up to it last night) but I'm trying to stay up with everybody as best I can but if I miss something please excuse me for a bit but I will be here as much as I can cause you guys are better than any of their medicines...:passitleft:... Any who back to the update.... The Wild Thai and the OG Kush were both watered with 1 gallon each of purified water with 1/2 strength step 2 Growology... They were starting to claw a bit too but I think it is for the same reason as the tent girl.... my meter is broke. They are nowhere as dry as the tent girl was but I don't know how dry they have gotten in the past or how long the meter has not been working right. I think they both look great but you will see a little bit of clawing that is completely gone now and it has only been a couple of hours since I watered and took these pics....:circle-of-love:
