Hey thanks Smeegol, yeah. It’s something I’d been going to get around to. The smell of the veg tent was getting nosier than you would want a stealth garden in the suburbs to be.
It’s a way to make do with one filter and extractor. The flower room exhausts to the garage and the veg tent has a passive intake. I’m happy to say that with the flower room door closed you can feel a definite breeze pulling up the exhaust duct from inside the tent. Causing a slight bit of tent suck if anything.
This means the room’s tight!
I haven’t even finished the trims in the corners yet. It’s good to know I won’t be counting on the last layer of paint to seal it all up
One of the good things about it now is that the flower room has a slight buffer from wild temperatures. The veg tent girls will be .. I was going to say taking it for the team, but thought it sounded completely wrong so I’m going with .. glad to get to the flower room when their times come. There.
So, yeah I only just thought of that - a bit of extra protection for the flower room - but it’s definitely one of the reasons I hooked it together this way.
I can’t wait til she’s helping me sweat out mine, man. I don’t want to get all wossname or anything, but mate. I’d been on the knees I’d been brought to by the public health systems for.. well, some time - rather unwell for some time, yk. So this is the first help that had happened to me in.. some time. All I’m saying is I’m proud to be able to show you your help wasn’t wasted.
So it’s five weeks since flip, but she’s only been flowering for three, if that.
She looks like taking her sweet time and I’m so ok with that
If that seems to contradict something I just said, well that’s because I will be tidying up her larf and looking for (slightly less) immature testers very soon.
Interestingly, I flipped the lights when she was 20” tall off the soil and now her two tallest have surpassed 40!
Her two stablemates both have very firm and densely formed flowers, while I get the sense with her that we’re only seeing the statements of intent so far and that she’s about to knuckle down to grow the most impressive flower heads in the room. These pictures are from yesterday and I’m seeing definite, unimaginative swelling on her budlets even in a day.
I’m excited to see that carpet of crystals coming on.
Here she was yesterday compared to a CPK. Another comparison in a week if I remember.
Another donkey thing I donkey do is turn each pot 90* each day. I don’t even mind if it’s OCDonkey because the garden seems to enjoy it.
This week’s Seedsman update is
here.
