DD Stable Of Impermanence

Hey DD, you and the missus enjoy some great time off. Relax and unburden yourself. I know you'll sort out those bent nails and have it how you want it soon enough! :blunt::high-five:
Jesus would not have thanked you then Donkey !!! heehee .Great to get some building time in too. Made for purpose is always a better option mate. Time is always the biggest enemy of ours for this one. I am desperate to do a more solid build for purpose too. At home dad with no time ever !!!!.lol
Good to be signed off now from services?. Donkey has had his feet untied and can roam safely. good for you mate. stoked the caps are doing it too. onward and upward.

Hi all.
You know when you have those days when everything just goes right? Days when everything is easy and things just work?
Then there’s the other sort, right?
Yesterday was one of them for me. It seemed like every time I hit a nail it bent.
I persevered a while, but it was a waste of time.
I got discharged yesterday from special addiction services. I spent about eighteen months with them altogether, I guess and just over a year with my guy there.
This new normal is very weird.
Hmm.
I got to spend a few hours at it today.

I’m back at work tomorrow, but I’ve taken the rest of the week off for our thing this week.
That’s going to give me two days to get it done. Should be ok.

I hope you’re all as well as can be and happily lit if that’s your thing.

Good to see you, Koro. Thank you for your kind thoughts. I felt like I wasted the day the other day but we’ll get there.
Haven’t bent any more nails, either - back in ‘the zone’. ;)

I think made for purpose will be better too, although I’m keeping the tent in service as a veg room.
Getting signed off the services.. hmm. I know it’s a good thing, but to misquote a t-shirt I saw today ‘science doesn’t care what I believe’. I know you used to work in a related field. I have to say I got a hell of a lot more out of it than I thought I would. Well, I went in with no expectations but you know what I mean.
The capsules are also surpassing my preconceptions. Between them (when I’m not at work) and CBD things are changing. I had low pain yesterday, didn’t smoke one joint and had five hours sleep!
I sleep in 2 hr bites because of pain. This is my third five hr sleep in a year! All three are since beginning the prescription CBD.

Hey Joe thanks for the ups, brother!
I made a rod for my back by using demo timber at the start I kissed goodbye to straight lines and right angles, but no worries.
After work I finally got the plates dynabolted to the floor, and the last of the tricky bits of the framing done.
I’ve not made a door before. I have ideas around boxing the framing up by wedging it to get it plumb and square and hiding the gaps behind a fascia. Let me know if I’m missing anything or you have some tips and tricks?
it's an overcast day here by me last 3 days and counting
At dawn on the fourth day look to the east.
:high-five:
You’ve landed your swampy feet back in middle earth. Welcome home!

You have a very beautiful garden, sir with lots going on. Hey, the fact we’re seeing you out and about - this means you are healing your stoorish self, I hope?

I’ve been intrigued by the word stoorish. The OED was no help  eventually I found One wiki to rule them all. I‘m glad I jumped down that rabbit hobbit hole! :thanks:

My dear wife, the woman who loves me anyway, bless her, once brought home the newspaper ad from when weta digital were looking for extras. She was trying to prove to me that she was too tall to be a hobbit. I didn’t get the tape out - everything is easier when she is right, I find. Anyway, was she trying to prove to me that she is actually a man? No thanks

Here’s a fun new thing for me - when you zoom in on this first pic you can see how far away from the flower the trichomes are going to grow. This is the critical purple kush. I didn’t even see it until I looked at the photo. She’s going to be sticky and squishable.

Your ladies are looking bodaciously beautiful as always Donkey! :peace:  :Namaste:
CC it’s great to see you! That you still have the use of your thumbs means your new trim brush works? One heck of a harvest you’ve been having :p
I’m hoping in the new space to grow some as tall as the ones you just cut. :yummy: Thanks for the compliments I’ll be sure to pass them on to the girls. See if they don’t puff themselves up with the flattery. Thank you.
I 100% agree with candycane! And I'm so glad to hear that CBD is having a positive effect on the pain, and therefore the sleep.

Nice work on the new grow space! At first I thought you made a linen cupboard for all your brown and white swirled bedding.
Cheers, Shed. I’m finding the best pain management with a CBD/THC combo. One, or the other by themselves: differently effective. Together, better. I’m really good about not taking THC when I’m on call and I really notice it after a week without.
Super lame not to be able to pay down some sleep debt and get some escape that way.
I’m optimistic though, and that’s new.
The insulation is wool, not glass. No formaldehyde in it either. Our local fibreglass go-to’s are impregnated with all kinds of nasties - probably for very good reasons too, just not in my food chain.

We’ll see how the more-permanent Stable looks tomorrow and we’ll hopefully see the girls in their new lair.

Lol :laughtwo: Thank you! I’m still hoping that brush works as the 5 I have left to trim are still drying but almost there! If I disappear for a few days that means it didn’t work and I can’t type:laughtwo:

No doubt you will! You’ve been rocking it already I can only imagine what you’re gonna do with more space! Stoked for you that you are making some more room to spread out! Giving credit where it’s due and good for you letting the girls know as flattery always helps with the ladies! Hope you have a great rest of your day and hopefully get some rest.

and hopefully get some rest
I sleep in 2 hr bites because of pain. This is my third five hr sleep in a year! All three are since beginning the prescription CBD.
Make that 5 five hr sleeps in a year, the last three in a row!
It’s getting so I don’t know myself. I caught a glance of myself in the mirror and I was like huh.. who are you and what’ve you done with yeah, nah that is the sort of daft thing you we I would say, isn’t it?
Just kidding. This magic happens with smoke, not mirrors.

Speaking of magic...
I had to do a donkey double-take yesterday. A xmas card appeared in the letter box. Oh? You say. A xmas card? But it is the beginning of March, how curious.
Indeed, dear reader, curiouser than a cat.

@Sunnyskies, @Ganjagrandaddy, @Kingjoe83, @InTheShed when Marvel finally do the action-comedy biopic of my life, whoever is cast in your parts, if that doesn’t sound rude, will be wearing their undies on the outside.

This is so exciting. I need a bigger garden!
Thanks for stopping by, y’all.

Thanks Shed. It isn’t for lack of effort on my part I’m still in this situation.
My doctor rang me and based on a blood test says “are you back on the drink again? You have pancreatitis. Look after yourself”
And wrote “back on the drink again” on my file.
I haven’t had a drink in years.
I’d previously asked him about CBD/THC drops. Because a GP has bureaucratic hoops to jump through with the scrutiny of a government department, he declined the invitation to help me in this way. Made me wonder how many dodgy scripts he’s written.
Anyway, my wife’s doctor will prescribe for me. She’ll do it the moment my specialist puts a diagnosis down on my file.
So yeah. Franz Kafka eat your heart out.

Been off booze 2 years now, both my docs know I use cannabis as my only source of medicating, the one doc who's not too keen on my cannabis usage told me I had overdosed on my oil back in dec when I was rushed into hospital, turns out it was actually my sugar which had spiked to 17 and found out I'm pre diabetic which came from my other doc when he was doing his rounds and saw me lying there in the bed told outdated Doctor the next morning when I was more myself that I didn't appreciate his outdated biased diagnosis based on my cannabis intake and totally missed the sugar reading the previous evening from blood tests taken...

Nice to have you pop in John. I want to thank you for shouting out the other day. You de-escalated an alarming situation.

I had no idea you’d been through that.
Always an open virtual door for you here and a real one in the South Pacific should the urge take you to stretch your legs.

Good people are good to know :high-five:

Izzy is indeed a little hardarse. Not just conversationally. I thought there would be something worth salvaging, but I’ve been amazed. I learned a lot about the kinds of punishment these plants can handle.

And spider mites - bastards! I think we’ve got them on the run for now. Had everyone out of the tent last night for inspection. Seems fine for now.

Gave the girls a hit of mycothrive and topdressed EWC with their feed last night. Hoping for another wee push for the last week of stretch.

How have I been? I’ve been grateful for the oil I’ve been dosing with. It’s the only thing that can get me through a work day. Apart from that - I haven’t slept for more than two hours at a time in three months. Starting to feel that. Weak as a kitten too as my muscles are vanishing. Can touch fingers to thumb around my wrist now. Basically every breath and movement is an exquisite symphony of pain and I am more than bored by it, I am also bored with it.

I had another CT scan this week. I hope they find something worth treating this time.

The rest of the answer to your question is that I have about 3.5 oz left til our next harvest in about two months. As high as a kite I think is the expression. So high I have to climb a ladder to pick my nose.

Better for everyone that way.

Cheers.
:meditate:

I can relate to the suck ass pain brother.........also to the suck ass feeling of running out of flower couple weeks short of harvest.....

Hey Smeags. It’s amazing, isn’t it? We put our lives in the hands of these people when we are having bad days. They are not supposed to have bad days of their own on days which are already especially bad for us! I feel very strongly about this, too. In between overwhelming bouts of, well.. you know.
Only now the new guard are reframing the old-fashioned ‘drug-seeking behaviour’ as ‘relief-seeking behaviour’. Semantics make a difference.
We’ve likely hurt ourselves with alcohol and god knows what trying to find relief that we’re possibly getting now with cannabis.
Congrats keeping off the liquor btw :high-five:

Thank you CC. You are most welcome.
So the Isabelles (Here for anyone who missed it) are named for the colour pots their parents were started in.
Isabelle Purple’s two clones are showing healthy roots now and are ready to up-pot. Just need to make some room and get the Blue’s planted outside at my mate’s place.

All these Isabelle's in the stable, and only 1 stud muffin to slather unrestrained endearments quietly in their ears.................but now I know.........

Thanks Gerry. Things are trucking along in the gardens. Flip day 48 today so bloom is in week 7 now, so they got a K boost last night with bloom nutes and molasses for the herd. My thought is to get the soil energy up by giving the herd a boost.
For the first time since flowers set it’s getting smelly in the tent. A bit of a drought this week is supposed to increase terpene production - we’ll see.
I’ve also painted the walls of my veg space white, increasing lumens@leaf. We’ll have an update on that in a few days time.
:meatballs:
Cheers folks :)

Did the drought work..? As a drought could be forecast next week if need be, I normally do plain h20 last week and darkness last cpl days before the beheadings...

I’m just really glad of the day I joined up 420mag. I’m trying to remember the headspace I was in at the time, I wish I could. It was the single most creative moment of my year to date.

I’m bewildered at the moment - mister lettersafterhisnamelongerthanhisname professional gut boffin just cancelled on me and I ... fuck I just don’t know.

You guys, by comparison are just better at health and positivity :)thanks:) than the so called pros.

New additions to the Stable:

HulkLato has landed. I will be stoked if I can get one of these up. She got a bit cold  so she’s on a warm pad now.

Thank you so much @Ganjagrandaddy! Like I said mate, there is always room in our chicken coop. You can stay as long as you lay, I mean like
For the reader, gigiddy, HulkLato was a little serendipity from a hermied Blue Gelato 41 and a Hulkberry, ripe and sticky. Speaking of reading, it was Richard Dawkins with the best ever definition of serendipity, “when you’re looking for a needle in a haystack, but instead you find the farmer’s daughter”, always liked that (I think the book was The Blind Watchmaker something, something. That is all I remember of it. Must be the best bit).
Speaking of Blue Gelato 41, the first time I remember being really angry with our prohibition and notoriously difficult post was reading about this one and thinking .. dark thoughts, shall we say, about the whole thing.
So :high-five: @Ganjagrandaddy
I’ll be embarrassed if I can’t get one up. You’ll be able to tell because my ears go red when I’m embarrassed and they are huge!

Another genetic injection (does that sound rude?) in the Stable today..

Seedsman’s Critical Purple Kush and their Dr Seedsman 30:1 CBD.
Medicine! In the mailbox. For free. From strangers. ... nuff said.
These are for the group grow in the link in my signature now.
@SeedsMan (thank you!) also sent some of their White Widow which I’m keen to try and Alaskan Purple. I hope to compare our auroras when I smoke that!

Serendipity for the win!

That is Alaskan purple is the schnizzle no lies there, the other Seedsman for the new comparative still haven't arrived and I reckon most you guys are coming close to harvest...haha

Did the drought work..? As a drought could be forecast next week if need be, I normally do plain h20 last week and darkness last cpl days before the beheadings...
I have no idea. The flowers got smellier, to my nose. I wouldn’t read much into that. Each harvest I’ve made has been better than the last. The nose on my current jars is Loud and I did nothing, I mean nothing special to encourage that. So i’ve run consecutive not concurrent comparisons and I am not convinced that any of my tampering has made any difference.

Yeah, wow I’ve been surprised to see this one grow out in people’s journals. I can’t wait to give it a go. Everyone seems to like it - I see it becoming a keeper just about everywhere it pops up.
Some of the others in the comparison grow are still at germination stage. You’re not that far behind yet.
I’m amazed there’s a country with worse post than ours. I think sometimes the delivery albatross uses the mail as nesting material. I just got beans a couple of days ago that were posted before the seedsman ones. The ones that are in flower now.
In flower now and on the move. I got up to shift our girls from the roof to the garage under cover of darkness and the neighbour has left her floodlights on! It’s brighter than day out there. Always something, huh? Wish me luck.

I hope you’re good, Smeegs - and whosoever else may read this I hope you’re good too. Things are better when they are good.

Garden transplant done.
They are in need of a feed, which they’ll get today.
I’m using risers under a couple of them to even the canopy up.
I will install the HPS at the normal lights on time today, having moved them at lights off. I have another few wee jobs to finish, but here she is - the light-proof room:
