DD Stable Of Impermanence

That's just excellent. I'm jealous of the future you too! Really fantastic that you've enjoyed the first day with a working press to experiment on. It surely can only get better from here, presumably a lot better. Lovely trimmed colas indeed. Great stuff!

Hi all. Phwoar. Here is a report on my first squish.

Very happy with our new toy!
Very happy to have entered the world of potent solventless extracts.
Happy to put our harvest off another day.
And happy to report the HulkLato is happy too...

They’ll be under HPS by the end of today.

So do I , mate, so do I !!
I mean, I need the bags, obviously, but oh! Lucky as I am, I hope it hasn’t run out yet!

More smashing fun later. Trim jail too.
I hope you’re all good!
Cheers.
your going to have some fun there Dd. Hulklato looks good and healthy too. enjoy the squishing.

Aftermath
Hi all. We had four plants to trim and a bunch of other stuff to do. IDK how we made such a meal of it, but we were up til 3 and I was up again finishing things off this morning.
That might sound Iike we had a great haul, but I’m expecting only 7oz dry.
Here are two views each of the last two down yesterday.

We just figured out that the 12 plants we’ve grown have given us 26+oz. This is at least NZD13K we haven’t spent.
I’ll be looking to the new press to help us eke out our harvest most effectively.
No doubt we’ll keep you posted.

For the first time since we started we are not running any of our own gear in the tent. 1 from another 420 member (gidday @Ganjagrandaddy ) and two from a sponsor (@SeedsMan FTW).
Jolly grateful we are to this community of people :adore:

Have a nice day, all. Catch you later.

And it's all been lovingly grown and vared for with you knowing exactly what has gone into it too. cant beat our own products DD. nice job. 7 oz is a nice amount to squish too. your going to have such fun mate. It is one of tje downsides of the drying period too. gutting to see the huge colas become popcorn compared to their original sizes too. I dread airy bud harvests for this reason. My blackberry yield , although expected from planting , was a slight dissapointment as they grew so well but the bud is bang on the money. I know the hulkberry was a good producer second time round with more attention on her. ( still was not a main plant so got some neglect but came through). Hopefully with the bg41 and her bud density in addition , Hulklato will hold her own. Your doing her and the seedsman seeds justice mate.

And that saving of 13k is a bonus too.lol. I can only imagine how much I have saved over the last 20 odd years (and made !.lol). I now have a wet trim jail sentence on 2 Lsd-25 girls tonight and the coming week will no doubt see the end to the last 6 girls too. Bluedreamatic make some fat solid colas that should maintain their size on the dry well too. well worth a future grow Dd. catch you soon brother.

With enough spare parts I could build a better donkey.

When I joined 420 mag I had some plants I wasn’t sure were going to survive. I wasn’t doing much better.
The plants ended up ok.

I lost about enough for a whole blues anthology. Strength, sleep, sanity (ha), 40kg of weight, most everything off my plate. Almost my job. Lucky still to have my wife, my house, my dogs.

It’s hard to write a happy blues song. Now and again they happen. I don’t particularly like the other kind.

I’ve just now had a second referral to a specialist pain clinic refused. They cited my active status as a client of special addiction services as a barrier to their ability to make an assessment.
I can’t take bennies, opiates, alcohol or nsaids and haven’t been offered so much as a paracetamol for my trouble.
So it isn’t that anything I am taking would interfere with an assessment. All it is is prejudice.

I had a surgeon sticking machines up me and me up machines for the six months it took him to fleece my insurance. He won’t answer emails or return calls or give an opinion or diagnosis.

I am officially on the scrap heap.

With enough spare parts I could build a better donkey.

Couple more threads to pull yet on the rich tapestry that is healthcare in this shithole.

Anyway. The point is. This is why I am making my own medicine. Thanks for your help.

The day after I put the tent in the roof space last year it snowed. The next day I had fully insulated it.
I got home from work the other afternoon and it was 44*C in there
The tent is no longer insulated.

HulkLato front left, CBD front right, CPK in the back.

I will probably only be able to keep my finger off the trigger a few more days before they get flipped.
While I’m happy that the three plants are going to fill the available canopy space pretty well, I wouldn’t mind more canopy space!

Especially if I get a good turnout from these..

So hoping we’ll need a bigger flower room.

We have the new press to feed, after all. I squished a 10g puck last night.

Have a good day, good people.

Well...the plants look great DD, and with the way your healthcare system is treating you, that is the absolute best thing you can have!

I'm sorry to hear they are treating you like a subplot from a Kafka novel instead of an individual in need of help. It's horrible the way bureaucrats take over medicine. :grrr:

I'm looking forward to the spent-puck experiment. No matter what you do, save them in the freezer if you have access to high proof alcohol (151+). There's a lot of goodness left in them that can be recovered in a QWET (quick wash ethanol).

Where to begin brother ?. Quacks are just that ,quacks. if it ain't an easy pharma fix or a talking cure then it ain't happening. bastards. seen so many relatives , parents ect... taken down the cancer gravy train treatment plan netting the pharmas £5000 per chemo jab for both my parents always to no avail ( as expected) and to be told they take 5 weeks to work after an initial prognosis of 2 weeks to live ????. they made 25000 off her alone forna jab she could not benefit any way from at all , each syringe was in presentation box too , no shit. Them they starve them first before finally removing water. She held on for days and the frustration from the "specialist care team" became very bitter. There is no care in healthcare , only wages for silence and collusion mate. I avoid them like the plague. Being an ex drug and alcohol worker myself ( 20 years) among other roles , I dont doubt the difficulty you face getting care D. The life changes needed to get clean are humongous to then face medical judgements that any benzo or opiate will roll you down the hill so therefore wont be responsible for the treatment is sickening. fuck em fella , I pray you find something in the CBD's to rebalance your system. positive vibes your way mate.

Plant are looking brilliant too. filling the space is never a bad thing.lol
a good defol at 21 days flower will get all those sites visible and let you cull the popcorn. Brilliant job mate.

Am loving the enthusiasm on the squished. great to watch and learn. I want to eat a puck though, they look portioned out for dieting like rice biscuits. lol. peace and love brother

Hey DD, good stuff with your growing, shame the medical support isn't going as great. You're going well with your cloning, I've have never had experience in that but with a suitable tent/glasshouse or safe grow area it'd be bloody great to be able to take never ending cuttings off a mother and get an endless supply of harvest. As it is I am crappily squashed into furtive stealth growing which sucks not being able to do so without feeling free and relaxed about it, I hope there is some positive change for that with the referendum this year. And also for you with your grow, hopefully you can get some great results from these plants, and the pressing will help produce a more pain reducing quality to the resulting rosin than normal bud would give. How was the resulting smoke from the recent harvest you did? Does smoking vaping or dabbing it, or however you take rosin, does that produce a better more concentrated high compared to having it as normal buds?

I’ll be keeping my eyes peeled in op shops for a small stainless pressure cooker. I’ll use it to infuse oil for edibles and jazz it up with pucks for sure.
I'm looking forward to the spent-puck experiment.
The first drop to land from the drip-tech rig. May there be many more!

Ya, but you're our donkey, Donkey :circle-of-love:
:passitleft:
Where to begin brother ?.
Yeah. I’d rather be happy than right. Having a moral high ground doesn’t help me sleep when I hit the hay. I still wonder whether medicine could.
roll you down the hill
Too late for the roly polys. I’m at the bottom of whatever curve that hill is at the top of. This is why my search for more potent solventless extracts led me to rosin.
The slightest sniff of any of that stuff spells multi system failure and fast. There isn’t a lifestyle left in it.
going well with your cloning,
Hm hmm. Just had 15 or so that didn’t make it. Thanks though. Better hopes with this lot though. And there’s one CPK clone from the first cuts I made which is now ready to up pot :yahoo:
I am crappily squashed into furtive stealth growing which sucks
I feel your pain. Whoops, no. That’s just my pancreas again.

Ok. I was quietly hoping to get high AF again, but ;) it’s still cannabis:rolleyes::laugh:
I’m spotting it or smearing it on a rolling paper and it’s doing good. I am definitely smoking less joints. That has to be healthier.
I’ll keep squishing and spotting until I’ve collected a gram then I’ll make some capsules. This is past halfway..
50C0B04F-DC52-4F03-8C64-356B2BACEEE5.jpeg

On the recent harvest these hung in a drying rack for four days then got put in jars. Then boveda packs arrived and they’ve rehydrated a little. I may put the bovedas back in their wraps and start burping them off for a cure. Good to know. It’ll help to get more juice in a squish too methinks.
Last harvest I knew I’d let them hang too long, but didn’t physically have the strength to do anything about it for a few days. Didn’t have bovedas either.
This time I chopped when I judged the trichomes to be fully ripe and before they turned amber. There were a few ambers to be found but bugger all. Likewise, hardly a glassy one.
I rolled the first joint after work the other day and I’m pleased to say potency was greatly improved. It will make better rosin too, no doubt.
838A7BF9-5C78-4640-9C11-277449E2AA2E.jpeg

The rest is still in the fridge where it will be for another week. Final weights to follow.
I’m glad of the increase In potency because i’m still too sore to take the time to do a tolerance reset. That’s why I changed when I harvested.

Here’s something nice to look at as your reward for reading to the end. Today’s garden.

They’re growing an inch a day right now.
Cheers
:peace::yummy::cool:

By the way.. if anyone comes across Black Swan seeds for sale please let a little bell ring and come back and let me know?
Seedfinder points me at Exotic Genetics who say it’s years since they dealt with it.
It’s terpenes have been researched in relation to the type of gut issue mine is likely to become at the drop of a hat.
I feel like it’d be handy to have a jar or two of cured buds ready.
Thanks, all :thanks:

There's a lot of goodness left in them that can be recovered in a QWET (quick wash ethanol).
You’ll be very interested to see what @zeroday is up to. I’ll link you here to his post on how to care for your trim, which should be compulsory reading. You can find your way to the start of that thread from there :p

Here is a lady who doesn’t let a background detail like the fact she doesn’t know the words stop her from letting us know exactly how she feels.
Similarly, I don’t know what to say, but I won’t let that stop me giving it a go.
Here goes.
Thank goodness for the backspace key and people who care, but not in that order.
How’d I do?

Look what dropped from a sunny sky yesterday..
Unbelievable. Almost! ;)
I want to thank my nephew from another refuge @Sunnyskies I hope you don’t mind me saying how generous you are, mate.
:high-five:
My garden just got a giddy-up.
I can’t thank you or 420 enough.

Good on you DD, that looks like a great giddy up! :hookah:
Mate we are all set! Just let me get a few hermies grown, or tricks with silver - what am I saying they are regs anyway!
We’ll never have to worry about the borders again, Stung. Referendum or no.
Let me know if you get the chance to set up an indoor rig this winter and I’ll help you feed it!

Haha.. the thing with most people in NZ is we're used to getting dak or weed or whatever, it is either possible or not, but never normally is there any choice, it was always just whatever was on offer. So all these different named strains are wonderfully intriguing and baffling at the same time.

I would like a indoor grow set up but I can't see how I'm going to do that with family who think I'm growing crap chilli plants on the balcony each year that never produce any chilli peppers. Unless we move somewhere else where I could get a glasshouse going I feel I am pretty much stuck with balcony growing. The trouble with that is I am limited to maybe 3 plants, I think when the stink factor is taken in, in about another month, that maybe even 3 plants might be a couple too many.

I also want to try making my own feminized seeds, I was going to do it this year but plans got shelved when my plants were showing pistils in November and I wouldn't be here over Christmas to keep up the daily spraying of Colloidal Silver. Similarly, I planned to do the same with the Gorilla Glue Auto but then decided I will first grow one out so I know what I am dealing with.

But I still have a jar of White Widow pollen (regular) sitting on a shelf in the lounge from last year, it has stayed dry and powdery and I think I will use it to dust a cola or two of my 2 Quadlined girls 2-WW & 3-WWG. So far, touch wood, they're looking pretty good, and going on past selective pollinations, a couple of colas dusted can give a few hundred seeds. I'd just like a few more, even tho they'd be regulars, that I can store away so I have seeds to grow in future years, and plus if this season's bud is any good I'll be pleased to have seeds of it.

I still have 2 X Californian Dream, 2 X Gold Leaf, and 3 X Chronic Widow, all feminized from 420. I'd like to grow them out and pollinate them for seeds too, but ideally using CS or STS to selectively force female pollen on a cola or two. So it would be great to have a big tent or glasshouse where I can join the big boys and have 8 or 10 different strains going at once. It's a bit of a shit this furtive growing, I have 3 new untried strains to grow and not really the space to do them all. I'd really like to rip into it for a season or two, make a load of different strains of bud to use as the situation required, and make a load of great seeds for future grows. I will be interested how you go growing out that selection and what your thoughts will be of the different qualities of bud each strain produces.

Short of getting an indoor setup I may even look at trying to do some sort of outdoor in the ground stealth grow, I heard of someone who grew out a 12 footer in the city that he trained it to grow along the ground so it stay short and somewhat inconspicuous.
