DD Stable Of Impermanence

ditch the safety hat
She just did it by herself

So far, so good :slide:
in 20 odd years of growing
(Some years more odd than others, no doubt)
lost 8 of her siblings in veg to spider mite
OK every time I do an insect treatment leaves end up looking like donkey poo. Either you guys all secretly wash your leaves an hour after treatments and never tell anyone, or Isabelles are just particularly sensitive.
tie that girl up like i would kylie minogue if she fell into my hands !!!
Thank you for that mental picture ;) (that’s a raised eyebrow in this instance, not a wink)
Congratulations on your beautiful harvest mate! Looking forward to watching your next grow. :peace:
:yahoo:
Thanks CN. Just quietly, just got the last of it back out of the fridge last night. 12 days some of it took. First time using the fridge to dry and So Impressed with results!

As for the next grow - 4 plants flipped 5 days ago. Photos aren’t happening until new growth as they had an insect treatment before they were flipped. Their leaves are working again now and growth is good again, but they really don’t like any of about four or so treatments I’ve used.
May have to go garlic and Castile soap.

And the latest in the next next grow just broke ground

brilliant on the helmet mate. looks like all the babies want to play now too. on the spidermite, soap, garlic and some tobacco water ( Tobacco , Boiled water then left to steep) will see those little bastards to their end. surprisingly Milk at 20% water mix also kills soft bodied bastards that suffocate from it as a foliar spray. .My two penneth worth matey.lol

Sorry about the boring baby photos, folks. I’m gonna stop now. But at least that guttation is weird.
I read how it can be because of stress, but what’s to worry about at that age I ask you?
Must jus mean she’s going to be sticky ;)

Hemp is in the house. She’s going to be the first sativa through the Stable. And staple meds, I hope.

And back by popular demand.. two untrained iPurples in the back. We have no more of her clones. She’s been fun right from the start.
The tower fan didn’t work out. I had my 8 bucks worth.
Five or six days post flip. I had been planning to fill the tent with each of the Isabelles Red in the front one at a time. You see bud site density a little more concentrated on the right. She’s in the smaller pot and was going to go first. I was then going to spend her flower time training out her sister.
Then life intervened.
And thank goodness, too.

Thise Isabellas are beauts mate. plenty of vigour going on. Selfishly loving the baby pics here D.lol
That Hulklato seeping is a cool pic. Showing some excellent transpiration of excess water. As for sticky , Hulk goes a sandy/sticky and gets covered on buds and leaves. That hash I made is from her mainly. The finished cure has a totally unique look to it, tight but small ( from my holding her back so long and over stressing her constantly too !) and they have a very thick dustiness to them. Still knocking my socks off 3 months on . Gelato gets uber sticky too from finished examples I see on here. Original Hulk THC recorded at 30%. If treating over activity then great Meds !!!. lol
Please dont be shy with those baby pics mate. it is your thread for your record remember. I do think we all worry about over posting or nothing interesting BUT being able to invite/involve a community is a massive bonus on top of recording our work. Enjoy your diary mate , we do.

Decarbing 30g atm.
Then overnight in the freezer in its foil pouch for terpene preservation.
Tomorrow I’ll strip out the stalks and infuse half in EVOO and half in coconut oil.

Hoping to catch up with the outdoor Isabelles later today.

Stay medicated, y’all :peace:

Ex Stable Mates

I took the dogs up the hill today to visit Isabelles Blue. They’re doing ok.

One of the dogs excitedly tested the possum proofing and was in there getting a nose full of a dose of blood meal our guy gave them a few weeks ago.
I dosed them with the bat poo grow nutes their 2g forebears both had, some silica, calmag and fish meal myco made into a tea with water from a nearby pond.
They’re each about three feet tall and showing preflowers. Ok so sunlight hrs outside today 15:12.. not sure when we get to less than 14 hrs, but it must be within a week or two because it will be solstice in a month.

And home again all three new seedlings are doing the guttation thing. I’m sure guttating isn’t a verb. I’ve taken their dome off for now and will watch them like a ...lorikeet.

Those outside plants look great! I'm guessing since it's a month until the solstice that it's just showing sex now. Mine don't show any sign of flowers outside until 2-3 weeks after the solstice.

The plants that I've seen with guttation never seemed under stress, so I wouldn't worry about it. Like GG said, they're sloughing off the excess water, usually caused by higher root pressure forcing the moisture up.

Nothing about stress on the wikipedia page:
"At night, transpiration usually does not occur, because most plants have their stomata closed. When there is a high soil moisture level, water will enter plant roots, because the water potential of the roots is lower than in the soil solution. The water will accumulate in the plant, creating a slight root pressure. The root pressure forces some water to exude through special leaf tip or edge structures, hydathodes or water glands, forming drops. Root pressure provides the impetus for this flow, rather than transpirational pull. Guttation is most noticeable when transpiration is suppressed and the relative humidity is high, such as during the night."

That’s exactly it - the roots are feeding more plant than there is to be fed. I think it’s a good thing and I’m definitely not worried about it. Thanks for the reassurance all the same #fistbump
In typically haphazard donkey fashion I can’t find the piece I was looking to cite for inciting anxiolytics.
But heehaw hey - now I don’t know whether to put the dome back on. What fun little ones are..

Always exciting with new strains in the garden but even more so with the Hulklato! Looking forward to seeing how these play out. How long are you planning on vegging these DD?

Yes! :tommy: <— at last, a kit with some kick.:nerd-with-glasses:
Plans? you ask. Well, to say they are plans is over-egging it a little. The last lot (g2 to these g3 and so the same) went 73 days post flip, where these have just done 7.
Happy to bunch them up before they are done, or chop one or two early if I have to.
While the flower light is 400W HPS the veg light is :eye-roll: 40W LED. IKR. It’s supposed to be equivalent to 115W fluorescent.
I do plan to top and train them and take clones and maybe have some of those clones in the flower tent too, before the scythe swings for them.
I could swap veg and flower spaces too, I’ve thought about that as an option.
Growing these girls will be like my first ever actual xmas miracle. You ever notice the miracles seem to happen either on the donkey, or by the donkey, but never to the donkey? Geez.
Maybe this time ;)

Eyore, eyore ,eyore to have more confidence. lol
Its genetics in play now matey.
I dont think a scythe will do it, maybe a John Deer auction for a combine harvester this season.lol
buzzing for the Hulklato Nice and straight up , no thinning portions. She will be taking moisture from below as shed so expertly put it. Domes scare me now as too easy to get mould sneaking in. I weather them in a big heated prop in daily stages of allowing air in. soon as I get a couple of real leaves opened out , I want them in the normal air. UK is damp so usually fairly decent starting rh to do it in.
You have some great ladies about DD , should be a great winter and hopefully a diagnosis and a lot of relief.
peace and blessing mate.

Glad for your harvest and new babies, Double D.

It tastes sweet :p and errm, that’s about as scientific as I got
It’s sap and it’s there because root pressure is supplying a plant bigger than the one that exists. Best I can figure.
I’m taking it as a win anyway.
(Honestly, I’m just glad I haven’t killed them). I think it means I have an active, happy herd in the soil and that such roots as we have are healthy enough.

Here’s a photo I posted on the seedsman thread the other day..

great shot mate. shows how well she rids herself of excess ground moisture.
