DD Stable Of Impermanence

Yeah well we're not all accomplished wire artists now, are we?
No, we are mostly duct tape ninjas, but needs must.
Double D would lose his mind in my tent. :D
Too late, Al. Seriously. Wait. Where am I?!
@DonkeyDick
He's a high wire specialist!
Now who are you calling a speciesist?
The updates in the Stable seem to get more and more epic!
Ha! Hey. Want to hear something epic? I’ve retired a few lately, but here’s a list of everything that’s running around in the Stable at the moment:

Panama
OG Kush
White Widow
Space Needle
Star Killer OG
Chem ‘91
Girl Scout Cookies
Sour Bubba (and they are just the ones I haven’t tried yet! Also running..)
C99 x Blueberry
Candida
CBD30:1
SAGE n’ Sour
Gorilla Zkittlez
Bubba’s Sis
Critical Purple Kush

There’s your southern Norse saga since you were after epic. Snorse! Myffic :high-five:

I gotta ask what is your favorite to grow , not smoke but grow?
Good question. I really prefer to grow plants that don’t need stakes. A plant that can’t even hold itself up just feels like it wouldn’t survive in the wild. Candida, SAGE n’ Sour, Gorilla Zkittlez - they are examples of annoying. If they weren’t so useful.... anyway, the Alaskan Purple was a good one physically. One of my favourites to look at in full bloom, very easy to grow.
The CBD30:1 is a marvellous plant to grow. It took me quite a few runs to tune in to her. She is all about her roots. If I look after her through veg she does superbly in flower, fades to beautiful colours and has a nose on her that is something else. She has such dense and greasy colas though that she is a little susceptible to bud rot.
The Bubba’s Sis is structurally pretty good. I was just moving one around now that has a couple of weeks left and she’s very bendy with her heavy tops when she isn’t being held up by her neighbours.
The C99xBlueberry wins atm. Her branches just go where you put them and they can hold weight without breaking a sweat. Not the frostiest to look at, but she builds nice colas on as many tops as you give her and every one of them is a winner.
I’m liking the Panama for structure. The White Widow is also getting the same training as her, but the WW is so much tighter it’s difficult to get a clear photograph.
:meatballs:
Cheers
:passitleft:
Rolled a few of the C99x to take on a dog walk. I hope you’re all having a nice days.

Who's walking who? :lot-o-toke:
It depends who you ask. Don’t ask me though ;)

Hey, speaking of the C99x it got a transplant today.

I’ll give her a few days to get it together again, then take a few cuts, tidy up her frame and flip her at the end of the week. I figure that gives her another 4 weeks of decent root growth and that should be more than enough for her to fill her new pot.

There should be a bit of room with this Zkittlez out of the way.

Another citric acid spray in there today. Was the first in a couple of weeks. Definitely a good maintenance practice to keep up.

Cheers
:peace:

Impermanent Update

While things are happening at the speed of a growing plant it often seems, on a day by day basis, that nothing much happens. The weeks and months, though, just seem to leap and bound along.

Here is a leap across a week in the Stable:

I top dressed a little Earth Alive bacterial inoculant and some Dynomyco and she seems to have ‘woken up’ a little. She’s draining her pot twice as fast as she was.

The Star Killer OG got the same treatment and was praying nicely the next day.

Panama at about 19” compared to the White Widow above at 8.5”, sprouted the same day.

Humming along. I still don’t have roots on cuts yet, but plan to flip the Panama this Friday if her cuttings look ok.

Hey, so hey. Yeah. Hey yeah.

This is one small step for giberellic acid, but a giant leap for donkeydom.

If there was anything like an open pollination (these seeds are selfed from the GA3 testee), I may find some crosses in this Gorilla Zkittlez sitting chopped in a tray awaiting trimming and washing.

There’s also a Bubba’s Sis ripening - she’ll be down within a week - that may have some S1s on board.

This OG went in too late for any pollen action. Nice to see her tops coming on now.

Thanks, folks for tuning in to the Stable and keeping the donkey on the dial.

I hope your gardens are flourishing floridly.

That's a lovely frosty list of strains.

Hmm... from such a nice collection I'd still like to know which ones rise to the top of the pack for you when it comes to smoking them.

Great stuff DD. Well done, always nice to eventually get there successfully!

NIce seeds DD! So what was your ga3 mix and schedule?

I'd still like to know which ones rise to the top of the pack for you when it comes to smoking them.
Just the Bubba’s Sis. I’m looking forward to finding other faves, but for now this one is the standout.
Congrats on all the doings, and especially on some successful GA3 action in the stable. :thumb:
Cheers, Shed. IKR?! About time we saw some progeny!

108ppm, sprayed once/day for 5 days, flipped on the fifth day. Then I waited ten weeks before anything happened, then six weeks more. Worth every minute if they’re viable!

Thanks, it's always really interesting to hear of what strains are doing it the most for people.

Wow, that's quite a wait to find out if it has worked, but super pleasing to find it has!

4 months! I know. Too bad the mixture I made has probably expired by now.
I’m definitely doing it again though. As soon as I replace my broken scales (don’t hold your breath).

Yes, the Bubba’s Sis. Looking mournfully at a rapidly emptying jar, and longingly at the last glass trichomes on my next one as she ripens up.

Hey DD! Congrats on the successful seed project! :yahoo: :high-five:
Man that is one nice green stable my friend:green_heart:
Cheers, Rex. Stoked with the seeds!
Things are trucking along. I’m getting impatient to try some new varieties now.

:woohoo: kinda seedy around here. nice job:theband:
Seemingly seedy. . . kinda

I saw a couple of these while trimming and washing yesterday.

This was the only one that jumped out at me this morning while packing her down into bags for the fridge.

We’ll find out if there are any more and whether they are any less funny looking in a couple of weeks.

Cheers :peace:
