thanks man... Day 22 now, I saw a few yellow leaves and decided that the cause might have been a nutrient deficiency, so today I added 1 ml / L of Bio Grow (bioblizz) to the water.
We'll see if they get better in a few days ... Im continuing with the 18/6 light schedule for a couple more weeks and im keeping up with the LST.
here are the latest pics (the LST plants are cheese)
I just realised that the red/pink LED light is causing the leaves to look weird, I'll make sure to photograph them in regular lighting next time, these pics aren't doing the girls justice
thank you for answering HempR. They been in the new soil for about 2 weeks now, maybe I should wait a few more weeks before I add nutes... I read that the nutes in the soil only lasts for a few weeks and that I should start feeding them around the 2 week mark ...
The PH of the water is 6.5 and the PH of the soil is between 6.0 and 7.0
I read that it might be a potassium (K) deficiency ... not sure thought ... what do you recommend that I do HR ?
here are a few photos taken after I've flushed the plants and pruned some of the yellow / brown leaves... waiting for the plants to recover from the nute burns.
I'm going away on a month long trip in June and feel forced to put them into 12/12 as early as this weekend. I have about 9 weeks before my trip, I feel that its too early to put them into 12/12... they will probably grow a bit during the flowering stage, I don't really have a choice tho...
Unless you have someone to take care of them, you should flip them now. You will need about 8 weeks for them to flower and then you need at least a week to dry them.
hey, I have not had the time to update in a while, I've changed the light from LED to HPS 400 watt. I've flushed the plants with 7-8 litres of water, I did that on 2 occasions the past 2 weeks.
They are not doing well at all thanks to the nute burn,
I also pruned and trimmed alot of the dead and "rotten" looking leaves ...
the plants look "skinny" now , but the new growth seems to be doing ok.
the weird thing is that all of the leaves are "small", they are curled and have burned tips and they look somewhat dead / rotten, and each leaf is maybe 1 ½ inch long.
If I compare the earlier photos I posted to what they look like now, the difference is huge, the leaves are way smaller now.
I consider this grow experience a lesson in not adding nutes (as late as I did, maybe I shocked the plants??) and to pick a better soil mix next time.
im on day 13 or 14 of flowering and will post new pics in a few days ...
hey man,,, ..the distance between the light and the tallest branch is about 45 cm / 17 inches.
the temp is about 31 degrees Celsius = 87.8 degrees Fahrenheit at the top branch / leaves.
It's almost definitely nute burn / heat stress but they might also be root bound, they are in 3.75 litre pots (1 gallon) but what do I know, Im new at this ...
no sweat man.
Put them in bigger pots and move the light back a couple of inchs and just cut your nutes dosage by half.
Do this for a week or two and see how you gety on and see will the plants pick up a bit.
