Dark Matter, Red Sky, Chunky Cherry Thai, BP Skunk In LOS

Good morning it is! Soon it's time to give these beauties a nice branch trim for their time in flower. They seem to be canopying for me and I just want to get a bit of height before I put them on their 12/12 light schedule. I can't say enough about the seedling mats helping out in there! When I open the tent in the morning it's 64 degrees until the light warms the place up. Without them, the grow would be misery. Maybe a week and it's flip city, maybe less, we'll see.

Hey StoneOtter.
Everything looking good.
If ya don't mind a couple suggestions I would get those Grassroots pots on pot elevators so the bottoms can air prune and give much better drainage.
The Grassroots only has 4" of air pruning area at the bottom plus the entire bottom, the bottom is like 60% of the area the roots can air prune.

And if you get yourself some Rove Beetles you shouldn't have any soil borne pest.
They kill everything .

I appreciate your suggestions Nunya! I got away from elevators for no good reason a while back, well I watched some good grows and followed the lead. I was considering getting them back to lifted. When I get some help getting 2 on elevator blocks I'll do that with them. Rove beetles, check.

The one thing I forgot is how cold it is down there. Still 64 at lights out so I have to keep them on the heat mats for this grow. Next one will have a higher elevation for sure.

You cant heat the tent or space to keep it at 70⁰ during lights out?
That will keep the entire root system nice and warm.

I try to never let mine get below 70⁰

High folks :ciao: it's a beautiful sunny warm spring day today here. I think a walk around the garden to plot the summer grow might be in order. We had people in to cut lots of trees that were working hard to take back that which they consider theirs, our yard! So I hope to have way more sun this year for a few plants. Maybe a couple of tomatoes too. In the meantime, thankfully I'm seeing the Neville's Haze buds changing into more thick bunches of calyxes in places. Maybe that's the fate of the rest of them. 62 days in flower today, almost half way according to the breeder info. I smell PIFF now! I can't wait to burn some of this one!

That's good sense. Running a heater costs a fortune last I tried. These run 17 watts a piece. I just can't get myself to do it. Summer's coming. In 70 or 80 days the next ones will get elevated.

I'm fighting the same thing right now, but I'm in the hoping the seed sprouts time frame. I have them off the floor and a small heater blowing into them. I have the two 10gal on seedling heat mats to help keep those big pots warmer. It's the curse of growing in my basement without a full tent to help keep the heat it, but it helps me in the summer time .

Yep, the cool is a blessing and a curse.

You could make a clay pot heater which would both heat the tent and give off CO2 and if you have the pots and a beeswax candle its free

Godfather OG, amazing strain. Any seeds left of It, or that’s the last one? The red stems look beautiful. Definitely would love to grow a Godfather OG. That Neville Haze looks so frost. How’s the smell on her? From what I can tell, that Haze smell should be really strong on them nose.
Hi CT, I may have one seed left for a rainy day. I did make a cross with a stankberry I haven't tried. I think it's going to be called StankFather. Having had both separately I bet it's going to be a treat.
Lady Neville is starting some frost, I'm hoping for her to fatten up, we'll see. She smells like catholic church when they get all smokey with the incense.

Haze is looking great, and the next 62 days will only make it look even better!

my best half wouldn't sleep nights with a fire going in the tent though.
I'm with your best half Otter! I can't imagine leaving a candle burning overnight anywhere but in the kitchen sink. Also, you would need to deal with the light from the candle.

I'm getting a very specific vibe from this post. :cheesygrinsmiley:

I've made one of these years ago when we had a total power outage for like 7 days.
We burned it for days night and day with zero problems.
Little tea candles sitting on bricks is pretty damn safe.
But you would have the glow of a candle if you're in flower.
Iam not convinced that makes any difference but ya never know.

Something without a glow would have to be like a hand warmer or a radiator
