Dark Devil Auto Grow Journal By MarkTHC

Lights: ON
Temp: 70 Degrees
Humidity: 65%
Light Hight: 37 1/2” inches above the soil
Soil: 1” Down Wet, 2” Down Wet.
Container: Heavy
Water: None

She is looking amazing I noticed some of the fan leaves growing out of the flowers are starting to change color turning a purple and yellow color.

I Think this will be my last watering with nutes and then I will begin to flush. I did see some people got their Dark Devil autos to last 11 weeks. I for one do not have that much time. Right now, my plant is in the living room and I have company coming sometime in late January so I really don’t have too much to play with. I will have to harvest at 8 to 8.5 weeks.

I mixed two 1-gallon jugs of water with,
  • 10ml Base
  • 10ml Bloom
  • 10ml CaMg+
  • pH 6.3
Looks like I will be watering about 2 days from now just before week 6 starts. Then time to flush. I am going to purchase Honor OG Trichome Stick 100x Magnifier.

Day 40
Flowers are filling out very nicely and looking good. I still have about 3 ½ weeks left until harvest. I ordered my Trichrome 100x magnifier this morning. I like the idea of 100x because my eyes are not so good. I think this will help with that.

Sometime tomorrow should be my last nute solution using date then I will begin to flush. I will look at the trichomes to determine this. If it's not ready I will keep it going and hope it finishes before my guest arrives or I will have to move my plant to a bedroom.

First, let me commend you for being about the only person on this site to have used a proper size pot.
15 to 20 gallon plastic pot is about right and frankly I guarantee it's the only reason that you have as far as I can tell the nicest Dark Devil auto on this whole site.
Your soil acts as a buffer for small mistakes like over watering, too much nutrients, not enough nutrients etc.
If you had grown in a 2 to 3 gallon plastic pot and did everything else exactly the same I can virtually guarantee this plant would be no where remotely as good as it is today, you would have had a myriad of problems.
Instead you made a few mistakes, over watered here and there probably over nuted a bit and the 15+ gallons of soil buffered it down to where the plant wasn't adversely affected by it and you have a big beautiful plant because of it.

If you must go smaller dont go smaller than 10 gallon FABRIC like I think you are planning to.
And with the fabric pot as long as your soil is a proper good aerated soil then you dont have to worry much about overwatering.
A fabric pot breathes on all sides top and bottom, the roots get to the sides and they self prune and spread out causing many more root tips and air/oxygen gets to the roots WITHOUT having to let the soil dry out so much. It's just another buffer that makes it easier without having to walk such a thin line where every little thing you do if it's not just right your plant suffers.

You almost cant overwater in a large fabric pot that has good soil in it.

So IMO you did exactly the right thing to start with a large pot so your small mistakes stayed small and you got about the best Dark Devil auto I've seen on this site because of that decision.

Excellent job and very nice journal.
Your grow has given me hope that my Dark Devil might turn out decent.

Container: somewhat Heavy but lighter than it has been
Water: Two 1-gallon jugs with 10ml Base, 10ml Bloom, 10ml CaMg+

There was plenty of water runoff this morning. My Trichrome magnifier came in the mail yesterday. Trichrome look mostly cloudy and some amber color but there is still plenty of clear ones. Tonight, I will do some research on trichomes.

I water with my solution with the nutes listed above this will be my last nute watering and in two to three weeks I will be harvesting. Everything is looking good, flowers are getting fatter and look very healthy. My leaves where the flowers are at, are turning yellow and purple.

December 27th at 7:35 am

Lights: ON
Temp: 70 Degrees
Humidity: 58%
Light Hight: 39 1/4 inches above the soil
Soil: 1” Down Dry, 2” Down Moist.
Container: Heavy
Water: None

I raised my light a couple more inches higher. This is about as high as I can get my light in my tent. The container is very heavy and the soil is still moist. I will begin my flushing tomorrow night or the day after, plenty of time between then and harvest.

This light has really worked very well for me and it has been amazing to watch.

Day 45

The only reason I am kind of in a hurry is because my tent is in the living room and I have a guest coming over for a few weeks some time in the first couple weeks in January. I'm a very private person wen it comes to marijuana even though I have a medical authorization to grow. I don't want this person to see my plant. That is the only reason. I have not checked my trichromes in awhile I will take a look again tonight.

So, I did give her a good watering with some more nutes there is some runoff, not a whole lot but some. On each branch, all the flowers are starting to form into one big bud. It is very interesting to see how this is growing.
