Dark Devil Auto: A Community Grow Record

Day 16

She took well to her feed and is growing great guns. For scale the 1 penny coin is 2mm larger than a us dime.

Significantly bigger. :laughtwo:

Plants in LOS can take just a wee bit longer to get their feet under them and then they explode. Your little lady is looking quite robust.

Whoa BB. The color you get on your leaves! Is that your lights getting them to turn like that? Amazing!

My middle girl is showing purple. (Day 43)

You're on your way to the purps. I give credit to the .....WORMS~~~ you knew that was coming, eh?? They do all my heaving lifting. My lights are the cheapest LEDs I could find and 2 of them were used. In VEG room I'm running a 450W reflector and a 700W MarsII. I use all the light they will give me, as in I don't use the VEG side of reflector all LEDs are lit all the time well 20/4.

Hey there AT - glad you're here.

I grow 100% organic LOS (living organic soil) in no-til pots.

Why??
Easy to grow
Healthy to imbibe
Sustainable for the earth
Taste is better
WAY less expensive
consistent results
happier plants

Whats not to like about organic farming?

Sorry brown.... I hope you were just answering a general statement and not confused thinking I was attacking anyone's style especially not what soil the intend to use..

Incase to be clear autos can be grown in any medium organic vegan or bottle fed mutants like I grow lol..... I'm referring to AUTO vs PHOTO and how to maximize there performance and what myths to listen and not listen to also types of training LST, ponytailing , topping. That sort of thing..... so to all of ypu who grow 100 percent no til LOS .... hats off to ya

Nah just posting a general thing about LOS no-til and why I do it. We were in the woods again today gathering up worm castings again!! Thats about the most work I do for gardening and its not really work, walking the dog with a bucket and a scoop.

She got upcanned to youngster status today at 18 days old.

Her big sister, at Day 33, was looking particularly impressive this morning.

Dark Devil #1 - Day 14

I was reading again some strain characteristics. I need to wipe them from my mind and tell you that DD #1 is COMPACT

She is just now starting to grip the mix and this will be her week. This one had a tough germination and the seed was started in a 5 gallon smart pot. She is special. Picture quality - not so special.

She looks very similar to the tiny one I just upcanned Jim. The one I have growing in th closet in kit Mosul has been the fastest grower of all I've run so far. It's also the one to show the most color. Interesting.

I think BB may be into something with his 20/4 lighting. He turns out incredible specimens under all that light. I'll take that under consideration.

This one confuses me. She doesn't look like any of the others at all. If any, it would be BB's specimen.

Today after a TransWater drench and a Brix foliar spray. (Day 47)

It's just so crazy how they have such different profiles.

Hi kids hope all is green in your neck of the woods. I'm back with a little update on my little tiny Dark Devil and may as well show off a few other autos I've got going. Also I swapped in a new LED light 2 days ago and I'm really liking what I'm seeing already. New lamp is a Smart Grow Par force 240 - 240W LED hybrid I think... looks like a little mumbo jumbo in the description but whatever.. there's so much BS going with LED lights its hard to wade thru it all. This one has no fans and the light is actually white not pink so thats a little easier to stomach there. The plants seem to like it, they are reaching up to it so hey, cant be all bad. It was a tad spendy tho, be'ins I'm not only lazy but cheap too! hahahaha my mom would approve (on the cheap part).

Anyways here we go:

Our little lady - she's small but will pack a BIG punch, she's just going to get fatter is all, just the way me likes me goyls, short fat purple and most of all happy!

This is another purple auto... forget which one, I think Blueberry auto or something I'll have to look but she sure is starting to look pretty, real pretty.

Pic of the back of the new light in our VEG room where we grow the autos and clones and seedlings.
We have Krystalica older clones about ready to go into flower but I'm not liking the looks of the leaves. Maybe I've over watered again.. I'll let them dry out and maybe transplant into 10gal no-til pots I have ready in the flower room already watered and ready for some plants. Back center is a CBD Lavender - this one is very nice and growing well, I will take clones of this one since its sold out at Herbies. More seedlings on the right there with the autos left and center under the new lamp.

I think this one in blackberry - I've got 2 of them going and they both look like twins so thats a good sign

Here ya go Sue - this is a half bucket of worm castings we got in the woods yesterday. Some folks walked by me on the trail and looked at me like I was sub-human...gathering worm castings like there was no tomorrow. I'm going to trade some of this for a load of horse manure from a friend I met over the weekend she's got horses!! YAY me. It's actually for my wife she's mad cause I won't let her harvest the vermicompost yet (not ready) and started her own compost piles that we will add the manure to and let that sit over the winter for the outdoor gardens in the spring. The leaves have leaf mold on them and there's a few worms in there so I'm leaving them something to munch on until the cold weather gets here. Hopefully there will be a frost warning in the flower room before outside in the gardens!! I think it will - pretty sure it will be in the flower room. :thumb: If you look real close there's some worm cocoons. I think they know winter is coming cause there was a lot of cocoons on top of the castings this time.

Did some training as you can see. Trying to get her a nice even canopy. I was also playing with the time lapse feature on my mobile phone.

These were set at 1 pic every 5 seconds for an hour or so. I have one going now that is set for 1 pic every 10 seconds for 8 hours. I'll post the results for that tomorrow.

Mr. Am4zin, you are truly amazing. That was wonderful photography. Your plant is looking just luscious. That phenome with the bigger leaves is the one bobrown is growing too. I have one like that but my others are that tiny thing Jim has growing slowly in his own tent. Take heart Jim. They will catch up in their own way.

At Day 25, in LOS and all by her lonely now in the Tiny Closet. She'll be under CFLs the entire way.
