Dark Devil Auto: A Community Grow Record

:thumb:.

What percentage return are you getting on your DDA extractions, on average?

12-20% but I’ve only grown one myself and it herm’d. I’m positive I’d get a higher return with fresh bud, but I’ll take what I can get. I’ll grow many more. :cheesygrinsmiley:

It’s pretty tasty stuff...

Day 45 for my ladies. I have a few good weeks of great growing weather coming up, but into the greenhouse they will go if things start to get bad.

So pleased am I to finally get to this room and find it brimming with excitement. :yahoo:

GT..... Damn! Now we don’t have to get seeds to you by hook or by crook. :laughtwo: You lucky dog you. :high-five:

I’m envying you the goo. :drool:Can’t wait to grow another so I can squish some fresh for myself.

Kanda, your plants are looking marvelous. Growing them in groups is only going to have you planting more groups in the future. We all think we’ll have enough, but experience teaches us there never is enough DDA to keep everyone happy. Lol!

Althegardener2, there is no tastier bud. I’m convinced of it. :cheesygrinsmiley:

And Amy... it pleases me to no end that you have so much growing in your garden. The individual expressions will make up somewhat for the reduced yield. That pink one reminded me of some of the Devil’s Carn displays. I bet that one has a unique euphoric experience to the rest.

I’m making infused coffee creamer this lovely September day with some DDA bud. I was curious if it’d turn the milk purple, but so far it’s not done so.

I call it coffee creamer, but it’s really canna candy for me, and accepting that it won’t make it into any cup of coffee means I can allow myself to not strain it out and simply eat the bud/milk candy. :slide:

What I really stopped for was to encourage you all to consider cobbing the buds from a future harvest.

I have a number of chemovars cobbed, and each has a unique euphoric fingerprint. The DDA cob has proven to be the most potent among them, lifting me to new heights of bliss with a mere 0.2 grams of chew. I grab that chew on the way out the door at 6 AM, on my way to the beach, and it carries me all on its own until about this point in the day, around 1 PM, when I realize I’m wanting some supplemental cannabis.

But it’s not a typical buzz at all. If you’ve tried cobs you’ll understand. The DDA cob experience is like floating. Lol! By far my favorite, I’m so thankful that it takes so little to bring such incredible results, with a robust hang time. If I didn’t supplement for a couple more hours I’d still be ok.

This is me though, so I’m not gonna wait a couple more hours. :hookah:

This is SweetSue's thread on cobbing. I just had to know. From a former chewing tobacco dabbler (sneaking it in at work iow) I appreciate how fast a pinch of something can move to your bloodstream. This is damned intriguing.

High DDA buffs :ciao:

DDA d#3 green/pink

DDA d#3 Purple

 it’s sticky, like soft toffee or glucose and it’s super sweet

While you can’t see the drop so well, I really like the way this pic below shows the shapeliness of the top foxtaily flowers :yummy:

Sounds delish! I too am surprised it hasn’t infused any colour into the creamer. Curious. Especially considering how much purple comes out in the cobbing process.

Yes! I’ll be paying special attention to that. I plan to make some dosing oils out of these as well. I see potential for excellent depression medication as well as part of a daytime pain management routine. I’m finding I like to have a few different oils on the go for mixing with the CBD - variety works there as well :)

It looks like you have tucked crystal balls in those gorgeous plants. When does the oracle arrive for a reading? :meditate:

Thanks CT

because my plant had thrips piercing the plant
I don’t think that’s what causes it tho’. It’s root pressure :)... Guttation

:meditate:

The purple one got chopped last night, no wait, night before. I’ll do late ‘Cat’ drenches on the rest and attempt to notice the differences in flavour.

comes out because of environmental factors, but it wouldn’t have Guttation if the thrips didn’t leave holes in it...
Ok, well that’s absolutely not true :)

This, from an article at the CSIRO in Australia (our public science research organisation)
Guttation is a process of natural secretion of fluid from leaves via specialised structures called ‘hydathodes’, which are located at the tips, margins, and adaxial and abaxial surfaces of leaves. Hydathodes form natural openings but, unlike stomata, are open permanently and offer little resistance to the flow of fluid out of leaves. Each hydathode is formed of colourless cells, and appears as stomata-like pores in the epidermis or epithem, also known as ‘transfer tissue’.
