:yahoo:My DDA seeds arrived today, I'm on a quest to make DDA seeds, last year I failed to make DDA seeds but was able to make Critical Jack crossed with DDA seeds. This year I'll keep the mice away, break out the colloidal silver and have lots of babies in my future. :bongrip::Namaste:

I keep forgetting to ask (or maybe I've already asked, but forgotten the answer? :burnt: ), was that Sour Crack an auto-flowering plant? I'm trying to figure out if all the seeds from that cross will auto-flower or not. My... er... caregiver was kind enough to give me some. I intend to grow a couple (if I can STOP FORGETTING THAT I'VE GOT SEEDS SOAKING BEFORE I RUN COMPLETELY OUT OF CANNABIS SEEDS AND HAVE TO GO BACK TO TOMATOES AND PEPPERS :stupid & burnt: ) real soon, and I'm trying to help a friend plan a small, clandestine, easy to handle (he's in kind of bad shape, physically) outdoor guerrila grow this year - and would like to set him up with an auto-flower or two. Along with at least one photoperiodic strain, if I can find something in the hillbilly vault that has a short enough flowering period to be out of the ground before the cover all drops leaves and/or fades back.

Be aware that the breeder of this strain sells both an auto-flowering AND a photoperiodic (not auto-flowering) version. In other words, if you are wishing to order the specific strain that this thread is about, be sure to order the one that has "Auto" in its name.

You may already know this, IDK.

Yes both parent plants were fully automatic. :biglaugh: All SSDC beans from that run will be feminized autoflowering.

Sweet Seeds sells a photoperiod and auto version of the Dark Devil? I thought there was only the auto version. Where's the photoperiod Dark Devil? I'd love to get hold of a photo version for breeding.

You are both correct. My apologies to everyone - I screwed up! No soup for me. I was thinking of Cream Caramel instead of Dark Devil. There is no photoperiodic Dark Devil - and, in fact, that'd be a rather difficult trick, since DDA appears to be a cross of two auto-flowering strains ("Big Devil XL Auto® (SWS28), and an exotic autoflowering strain with purple flowers").

WooHoo!!! :yahoo: More seeds! I love the way you guys pull this off. I haven’t the time or funds to do it yet, but I have a couple chemovars I need to seed so I can stop cloning.

I thought the Dark Devil was auto only. You got my hopes up. But I'd still love to get a photoperiod purple strain with effects like the DDA. I might have to try and make my own crosses and make my own seeds and hope to get some purple ones.
 
All purple is to me... is a color (and, occasionally, a sign of a nutrient issue). But I have been intrigued by Sue's descriptions of the effect, for sure.
 
I do like the purple pheno of dark Devil alot,the green not so much

I've just crossed DDA with GDP as well as ACDC, hoping for a killer Purple photo strain
 
Is this a part of a plan to "breed out" the auto-flowering, or are you just creating one generation's worth of seeds?

I think it's a crap shoot but am looking for a photo with the traits of the DDA.

Id assume the potential to get photo and auto seeds is there so I guess we'll find out

That’s what they got with Nis’s Devil’s Carnival. The purple phenos kept some of the DDA traits, and quite a few turned out to be photos. Mine is.

What are some of the main/preferred DDA traits? Both Sweet Seeds and Seedsman product pages just talk about the colour and smell/taste, not the effects.
