Dark Devil Auto: A Community Grow Record

Excellent grow LEDRF! Reps+ That is one gorgeous Dark Devil Auto and how impressive that you'll get such a stellar yield from her. Wow! You're making us look really good here. :laughtwo: Keep it up. :high-five:

I have a tiny one to share today. This is a picture I took yesterday to show just how tiny she is. At Day 50 now and only three weeks before I need to tear everything down. She's not going to yield much, but she'll yeild something, and I'm ok with that.

No redicule allowed guys. LOL! She is what she is and we love her just because she grew. :laughtwo: I find it fascinating how fully developed everything is, even at this tiny size. She's like a little bonsai baby.

I want one , that is just so cute :thumb:
Be safe .

The baby looks vigorous. :battingeyelashes: Here we go again. :laughtwo: Your first one is really so stunning in coloration. Such amazing variety in the strain, given the many different approaches. My hope is that somewhere along the line we're going to begin to notice what works best and can then begin refining it to where the yields per grow become more consistent.

This community grow idea is working just as I'd dreamed it would. You guys make me proud. :high-five:

From my journal

A comparison shot of both dark devil at aprox the same age. 1st pic is the one in regular 1 gal pot at day 10 and Second pic is in the 1 gal shallow pot at day 9

All is looking good for the same pheno. They look pretty much the same to my very high eye.

They look the same to my "wide awake and haven't gotten high yet, so where's that brownie?" eye. :laughtwo:

Dark Devil Auto - Day 47

Background: In 4'x4' tent, Mars Hydro II 900 along with 2 photo period plants so she's been 12/12 since 10/30/15 using RAW nutes. She started slowly and was germinated in her final 5 gal smart pot but has gained on it weekly. She grew from 17 inches last week to 19 inches as of today. She's starting to slow down and acts more like the auto that she is. She gets 1 TSP Bloom, 7.5 ml Overdrive, 1 TSP Molasses and 1/8 TSP Cal-Mag per gallon of water. pH measured 6.49. She's had fans lowered and some pony tail training. She has not been topped.

The breeder suggests maturity to harvest at about 60 days. I suspect that this one might go another 3 weeks. We shall see.

They're all beautiful plants, my friends -- from the enormous (LEDRP -- holy cow!) to the petite (she's so cute, Sue!) to the I-swear-I-can-smell-that-from-here (Mr Am4zn) to the symmetrical beauty that is MJ's plant :)

My current grow is coming to an end, and I've got my DD seeds waiting and ready -- and I've just heard that my grow tent is at the Post Office waiting for me, so I will get started this week!

 :slide:  So glad to hear you'll be joining us. The more the merrier. :battingeyelashes:,

There's no late to this grow rifleman, it's ongoing. We'll be growing Dark Devil Autos for years. We're just exploring the possibilities now.

 Better late than never. You all have given me the dark fever. Will include some in my next order.

You should take Atrain's advice and run with it.

Yeah I want to see you run the AN line in hydro on one rifleman... that will show the real potential here.... looks like LEDRF is gonna set the bar to beat but running in dro.... you should top it

I hope to get a chance to try. Acquisition is a bit of a problem right now. I'll be working to resolve that this week. Autos will be my only hope for another crop this year too, as I'm already past my window for finishing a photo plant before it becomes too warm here to grow inside The Roost. It might as well be something dark.

My big girl is doing OK. Her inner growth is still nice and green but her big fan leaves get progressively lighter every day. Due for another full feed tomorrow.

I was hoping to get the darker pheno like last time, but it looks like this time, I got the lavender one.

65 days old in this video. Toward the beginning of the video, I show Dark Devil and talk about her. I'm tempted to grow one in DWC with Cogos because Cogos is so stable. That will have to be at my new place.

My two didn't make it :(

I'm switching to coco, I'm not cut out for this DWC stuff

Bummer!

I hate losing them. I'm thrilled that your reaction is to try another path. I admire the persistence. :thumb: Life's one big science experiment and we get to be the lab techs. Isn't that a cool way to look at it? Then you get to remember that this lab gives you smokable harvests. Does it get any better? :laughtwo:

You'll be more successful at your next attempt. I have every confidence in you.
