Curso's True High Brix!

So the extra soils runs are like a good wine/cognac, cigar, even a good tomato sauce- better the next time ;). All the locals are happy, happy, happy after spending a few grows together, everyone and everything gets along even the In Laws...

It depends on a few things. But yes it's getting better over time as long as its taken care of. It's a lot like a sour starter for sour dough bread to me. There are places in Germany that have had those alive for 100 years, you just have to keep it happy.

This is what it looks like when I switch with energy. She has had cat drench one time.

LOL! I've been reading and mulling your timing ...

I've been giving mine the first drench when they look like the first pics, a few weeks into flower. At that point they stall for a week and then go into rapid calyx production on top of what they had. This happens about a week after the 2nd drench. They get one Trans/Water and then Energy/Tea, and I'll either alternate with Trans/Water or give Energy every watering, depending on leaf fade.

Heheh, backwards from what you do.

Don' mean to confuse anyone ...

And for newbie brixsters ... this is what's amazing about the kit - it doesn't seem to matter much what we do - they always turn out great! Go figure. :cheesygrinsmiley:

I did it that way too. I found my plants had bigger, denser buds doing it early. So that's why I do it this way.

My next plants will be timed your way then - they should be showing pistils in another week. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Like I said I hadn't mentioned it because I'm still running it for the 2nd full run. Can't really say "it's true" without testing it again. Feel free though. Waaaay back in this journal we talked about the effects of the 2 drenches and the timing of them. Later gives you really nice flowers with loads of calyxes. Earlier (making energy earlier too) makes fat buds. I found that earlier gives a different flavor profile too. The diesel I did this to was really gassy but sweet, but the buds take on a more indica look with skinny leaves. I'm not growing any sativa's either I have mutts as we like to call them, I don't have the patience or the space for long flowering plants. That also makes a difference. I know the parents of all the plants in my tent right now (aside from the urkle) so I have an upper hand at what they like.

You can change the bud structure with those 2 products. Pick which one you like and run with it :)

Guys please remember...where I am at with the soil for this grow is kind of uncharted territory, a nice 4th run. So this is all stuff I am finding as I go along with my soil, in my grow. Your's may or may not be different. I've been playing with this tub of soil for about 15 months now. But the timing shouldn't be to much different. I am just running it more water than anything with this run. The instruction are still best practice. I really don't want to open the rabbit hole for you guys.

This method is new and relatively uncharted for cannabis, and we're all playing with the tools. :cheesygrinsmiley:

The one big lesson I'm learning is this: If your soil is right, the grow will be right. It's hard to truly damage your plants with the foliars and drenches, and more doesn't seem to help anyway.

The crazy thing is that it grows fabulous flowers ... at the same time that it's perfect for noobs. As I recall, that was what blew Doc away when he discovered it.

Oh no bro you can really hinder a plant with the drenches not so much the sprays(aside from Bloomit). While they are nontoxic an ill timed drench makes for some not so nice flowers and confused plants.

Heheh, I would tend to agree. It pretty much destroyed my mineralized soil plants and I've been nervous about it ever since, so there's been no experimenting with it on my end. A couple months ago, I accidentally used a double dose on five of my plants without a problem. I just skipped the second drench and everything was ok.

I used it a couple times about 3 weeks before harvest and wasn't impressed. It bulked them some, but it was too late for a full effect. I may try it again with a 11-12 week strain - the 2 doses at the regular time, and then do a 3rd if there's time for another switch to Cat and back to Energy.

But then, I'm not sure my 6 gallon pots hold enough for that ...
