Curso's True High Brix!

Lol, on my last trim of 1 I have Hi-Brix was placed in the middle of the awaiting soil still waiting to get used as I used only 10 gals so far.
Q.- have you ever heard of "Bubbleman's World"?
Check it out on Y-Tub.

Oh brah u da man. Thanks for sharing. Bubbleman!!!! Beautiful product...I'll need to try on next harvest!

I mentioned my not testing my plants in Doc's thread. I figured I'd explain why here.

I don't test for a few reasons, mainly because I've seen plants ranging from 6-18 brix in the past year or so. I can pretty much tell by looking at things where they are at, roughly. I know, I know...However, there are many other identifiers that tell me where things are at. I use my keen observational skills.

There are a few things I care about with my plants and they are leading questions of their health. Are they happy? if yes, go to the next question. Are they healthy? If yes, move on to next question. Are they reaching for the light? If yes, move on to next question. Are they pest free? If yes, move on to the next question. Are the leaves dark green and waxy?? Are they mold free?? If you answered yes to all of those. You are over 12 and don't sweat the rest.

I have NEVER seen a bug in my 4x4 tent. Should I test with the refractormetor? Yeah probably. Will I? Probably not. I grow for me and share. Growing with this method, kit, high brix, whatever we want to call it to me is about the soil being finely tuned. Period. Our reward for our tuning is some pretty fucking fantastic cannabis.

Now by all means, I am not saying not to test. I just have seen it from one range to the other, I'm pretty confident that if someone came and test my plants and I said "that OPP is 15 brix" I'd be really close :)

Great post...

Great post...

Thank you :)

I guess I should say what happen if you answer NO to any of those above questions. IF!!! The answer is NO to any of those questions. STOP and figure out why, before moving on to the next question. Something is missing, out of whack, tune whatever. Something is just misfiring and that needs to be addressed.

If we follow the instructions and keep the plant happy...they should always be "yes" answers.

Edit...One more thing...basically if you answered no to one, they are all soon to follow.

Excellent post!! I love how you broke it down here because this is exactly the same things I look for and these are definitely the key characteristics I have seen with high brix plants as well! :thumb:

Thanks Ice :) Quality identifiers are fun to see once you know what your looking for.

Don't get me wrong the refratormeter is a fantastic tool to see if what we are doing is working out. For newer HB growers it's a great idea to have one just to see where your plants fall. We (seasoned HB growers) have tested enough to see what a 13 brix plant looks like. Newer users might want to get that same experience using the tool to gain the knowledge, to know what you are looking for. People can follow in our footsteps and take our word for it or do the work and gain what we did by testing over and over.

I just wanted to touch on something before I start harvesting and washing this OPP...I was thinking back to previous harvest's and thought I should say something. I have noted that my trics don't degrade on the plant at all. NO AMBERS EVER. They turn amber off the plant when they start to degrade. These plants I have currently are the healthiest plants I have grown. The trics are milky. So again use other quality or ripeness identifiers like how receded the pistils for example.

Got pictures of this ripeness identifiers?

Somewhere around here...The trics on this plant are actually all milky...10weeks...She really could go another week or so, she's still really happy...

Couldn't agree more. I'm letting the Champagne go purple....just passed week 11. Still clear and milky....not an amber triche to be seen.
