Cultivator's Return - Multiple Grows

When I first started growing indoors I followed your coco thread heavily, I’ve never posted small talk or off topic stuff in your journals simply because of the educational value. I didn’t want what you were teaching to get lost in the clutter like it might on say my journal. I hope your plans to expand your teaching works out well for everyone.

Thanks everyone, I do know I have some of you just following in the background and its cool. I just feel shit at the minute with ill health so feeling sorry for myself lol.

Are there any decent soil growers following? Ive made some super soil yesterday but I think ive made a mistake by adding too much perlite. Remember soil isn't my strong suit but I thought having a go at making a super soil that only needs water start to finish would be interesting and I have space to do it. I will likely always be mainly be hydro but im interested in quality soil making just from learning about beneficial bacterias and fungi. Ive tried to incorporate these into hydro grows with amazing results and I still think I can improve it. I have copied sub cools recipe but not to the exact letter, I be honest and say I half guessed the weights of some of the ingredients and gone overboard with perlite. will this be detrimental and should I add more soil? of course then it will water down the other additives.

Brotha u one of the first ppl i followed an learned aloy man ur grows are always amazing n learned a shyt load from ur page n im in soil now love hydro but just wNted to take a break not for nothing its not bad ..an i as well mixed my own soil hopfully all goes well

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I work damn hard but ive been unwell and run down recently. Theres times when I don't get 5minutes to myself but I guess thats the same for everyone who works and trying to run a family, hard work. They don't teach you that in school lol. I do know I have helped alot of people but sometimes it feels like its taken for granted. Thats not any kind of dig at anyone but whenever I ask anyone for anything back there always seems to be an excuse. However I do have some good people around me and id be screwed without them at the moment.\

Im always interested to hear about other peoples grows and experiences, I still learn every day too. No one knows everything. I just don't commit to other journals because its time I don't have. And once im on journals I often get bombarded with questions and I always try to help but it takes up limited time I have.

On my journal I don't mind banter or questions and It makes it easier for me to reply. I just don't like it swarmed with too many images of other grows and repeat questions as it means people haven't made an effort to flick through when my journals Are relatively short. For example in my coco thread there is alot of information on page 1, im then asked the same questions repeatedly that has answer on page 1 which does wind me up a bit. Other than that I don't mind people getting involved no matter what the level is.

Jajajjaja totally tru cult but i feel.the same at times is like u can do so good but dam get nothing back i feel wat u saying brotha keep ur head up life gets better with time lol

I do agree about people posting pictures when it's just for showing off which gets done on this forum a lot when i am in threads outside my normal circle.

We really do appreciate all you have done for us here. I hope you feel better and get some rest. I know i am more than ready for a vacation with some much needed time off and rest myself.

Man the Exotic locales sound nice but I choose Canada right now. They’re getting the legal cannabis business set up and running. Could be a lot of opportunity for you there.

Thanks Penny. I actually still have people tell me im wrong from time to time with coco lol. now don't get me wrong theres more than 1 way to get the job done but it pisses me right off when someone has a problem in coco and I give then the solution but because they maybe don't have an ec/ppm meter or something simple they ignore it and listen to someone giving worst possible advice which is usually , 'flush with water and start with 1/4strength nutes'!! That winds me up something rotten and it really shouldn't but I don't want to see peoples crops fail. Its one off the reasons I stopped answering questions in the FAQ section. Pointless giving out advice if not listened too.

I just don't know if I get a work permit in Canada but fuck it would be a dream to have a dispensary and grow for it! But I wouldn't know where to start. I don't know anyone there or how it works but for me i'd choose Canada over USA anyway. No crazy cops shooting all people for stupid reasons, its serious. Great opportunities in USA in many ways but I don't think its an appealing place to live for anyone born in the UK. Cops don't carry guns in England and shootings are so rare. Plus prison sentences in the US for drugs are just ridiculous. No one gets 50yrs for anything in UK. Only murder carries life sentence and of course thats the way it should be. But no mental sentences for non violent crimes.

I used to give that flush with 1/4 nutes advice, it doesn’t make sense now. I usually water to a little runoff so what I put in should be what’s in the coco each time I water. Changing what I’m putting in makes more sense than how much I’m putting in, I usually feed rather light any way.

Alot of new growers budget wrong. they skimp on quality light and ec/ph meters and buy expensive feeds. ALWAYS buy best light source possible, best extraction possible then everything else is minor in comparison. If you on a budget swerve LED as good ones cost good money. you can get a 400w or 600w bulb, digital ballast and shade for under £100 or $150. that will pay for itself 25fold in uk. Light and air are the big ones, if 90% of budget goes on that then its fine, you will get a better result like that then if you bought cheap everything and had lots of stuff. No expensive nutrient will give you a great crop without adequate lighting and ventilation.
